QUESTION TIME! of all the pokemon you own in games, who would you consider to be your one partner pokemon?

i saw this ask while out of the house and i just got home and am finally able to answer it. i bring this up because i want you to know i saw it specifically while in the passenger seat next to my mom and i said out loud to her "oh god someone on tumblr asked me what my one true partner pokemon would be out of all the pokemon i own in the games HOW DO I PICK JUST ONE" and she laughed LMAO

anyway i've had ample time to think about it and i'm still a little bit undecided, i own a LOT of pokemon i'm attached to, BUT... i think it has to go to neverhappy. it's been a hot minute since i've posted about her so idk how many people know about her. she's a roserade so she can't be moved into SV and therefore i haven't brought her up that much lately, but

you can read more about her in this ancient post i wrote (i would rewrite this now but oh well), it's one of my oldest original posts on this blog. but tldr; she's a rescue from a secondhand platinum cartridge i bought who was named this in the PC as a budew, obviously a joke about how they were never going to use her so she would never experience happiness-based evolution, and i took her and got every single possible ribbon on her from gen 4 and up and she's one of my most loved pokemon ever. i care very deeply about her, she represents a lot for me in real life too, and even though roserade isn't even one of my favorite pokemon on its own, neverhappy specifically is definitely one of my most cherished pokemon who i want to have with me for a very long time

so this is technically me BUT HEAR ME OUT. a few months ago i dreamt that i was on rupaul's drag race. the only things i remember are a VERY brief snippet of me doing a team challenge, and one of my confessionals, which listed my drag name as Aubrey Firedrill. and after i had that dream i slowly came to realize that becoming a drag queen was my true calling!!

ANYWAYS!! why should you include aubrey firedrill despite being an extension of myself? well, to be a drag queen requires a drag persona, and a persona is technically its own character, right? and since my drag persona originated from a dream, that makes aubrey firedrill a dream character!! i think.

yes! my ao3 is aqpuppy after my old account (and when I was exclusively posting to what I had on AQ. might end up changing it in the near future. Also I want to branch out into other fandoms so I don't want this to be mutually exclusive).

Fair warning, a good percentage of it is smut, but also that's why tags are there.

🏳️‍🌈 Cuppa (Vinkx) - jinkx-monswoon

Early one morning, Jinkx prepares a special blend of tea for Vivienne.

“Jinkx… Jinkx, what’s that smell?”

An unusual floral aroma, which had caused Vivienne to stir, permeates the morning air. She asks the question as she enters the kitchen one morning, still half-asleep.

The second unusual thing Viv observes that morning is the sight of Jinkx at the stove, muttering incoherently to themself and making strange hand gestures at the steaming pot of tea in front of her. She’s apparently too preoccupied with this to notice her partner, who takes the opportunity to sneak up on her from behind.

Jinkx almost jumps out of her skin when Vivienne wraps her arms around their waist. Viv laughs at the yelp of shock she lets out and pulls her closer.

“God, you scared the crap out of me,” Jinkx chuckles as she leans into the embrace.

“Mm… good morning to you too.” Viv plants a kiss on Jinkx’s temple and rests her chin on their shoulder. “Whatcha makin’, love?”

“I picked up a new tea blend yesterday that I think you’ll like.”

“Oh? Do tell.”

“Mhm.” Jinkx leans her head against Viv’s as she turns off the stove. “Cocoa, strawberry and rose petals.”

“Oh, that does sound delicious,” Viv mumbles. With a heavy yawn, she shuts her eyes and lets her body go slack, supported only by leaning against Jinkx.

“Aww, hon…” Jinkx takes a step back from the stove and slings her arm around Vivienne, scooping her up from behind into a warm hug. “Still sleepy?”

Viv buries an affirmative groan in Jinkx’s chest.

“Well, how about you go lay back down, Vivi, and I’ll bring you some of this when it’s done?”

“Vivi” hums contentedly at the pet name. Jinkx kisses her forehead and gives her another squeeze, before sending her back to bed.

Once Vivienne returns to the bedroom, she quickly slips under the covers and opens Instagram to keep awake. After all, Jinkx had been kind enough to prepare a special new tea just for her, and she would never risk sleeping through it.

It’s not long, luckily, before the scent of chocolate returns to the bedroom and Viv hears a gentle knock on the open door.

i somehow missed this ask omg sorry. i haven’t played pokemon rumble in a long time and i never sank much time into any of them past the original, but me and my sister poured a TON of time into the original wii release when we were kids. usually when i think of rumble these days i think about rumble weekend and the associated patch that adds johto and hoenn mons to the game for wider shiny hunting targets… it’s really too bad that none of the other rumble games have shiny hunting, only the original 😭 seriously makes it infinitely replayable

it’s a confession non confession because anetra is terrible at words 😭 she knows what she feels but when it comes to expressing said feelings, it becomes hard for her to do it

their first kiss happens the same night, anetra is staring at the lit fireplace as she starts asking sasha if she had ever been in love. sasha answers that yes, she had been in love long ago before she had been exiled but now she didn’t care for that person anymore as her mind is occupied by someone else

anetra is dense and somehow doesn’t put the pieces together to realize sasha is talking about her when she starts describing why she has fallen from someone new. it’s not until sasha sits next to her and cups her face and tells her “it’s you, dear,” that anetra understands it’s her
