- Current activity: finished up prefarming blades traces to 6/8/8/8. double calyx drops events is a godsend. was listening to a video essay on the bg but the favorite song section made me go listen to stiny on repeat again bc i love inflicting emotional damage on myself so i guess thats what.

- Currently thinking about: so theres this person in the hsr leaks subreddit megathread doing daily renheng insanity ponderings since blades trailer dropped and ive been just losing my mind ever since reading them. anyway i wanted everyone here to get to see them too but didnt wanna repost em bc its just kinda ehhhh to do so. here u go!! suffer with me!!! click the links theres all 3!!! - Current favorite song: spotify most listened to top5 currently looking like NEON by raon, kissaki by reol, wildfire, cha cha cha (we will never forgive xx swedes watch out) and stiny from KALUSH & jerry heil.

but like let me be clear the only reason reol isnt number 1 is bc the full version of the song only came out like 2 weeks ago and the earlier released shorter anime ver of kissaki is literally 7th on the list.

- Currently reading: ...i mean mostly just renheng fanfic but uhhh. i did read where the crawdads sing from delia owens (just plucked it out from the bookshelf randomly bc i was bored) a month or so back. it was neat but no like particular strong feelings abt it. it was very well written and i liked the flow of the prose a lot. also waiting for crooked kingdom to get a finnish translation bc i got six of crows in finnish and i dont do book series as mixed language sets generally. (also the translation work itself was just like an absolute fucking banger with the imagery and metaphors used like chef kiss)

- Currently watching: no particular show (last thing was when i rewatched fmab a couple months ago) going on but like. random video essays or informative stuff on yt honestly and its mostly for bg noise.

- Current favorite character: gee i wonder. dan heng (past editions included), blade, (big gap here bc i tunnel vision on characters), bailu, luocha, jing yuan i think for specific ones from hsr for now. am looking out for jingliu and fu xuan too i need to study them. in genshin its like. yeah its mr childe ajax tartaglia all the way but i kinda just havent been feeling it for the game much so eh. tighnari, kazuha up there too n arlecchino obvi.

- Current WIPS: what kind of productive person do you take me for??? ig i like. opened word this week to type out some random passage drafts for a ficlet type thing relating to the post i made a while back abt belobogs temperatures wrt dan hengs potential terrible, horrible, no good, very bad scalie time with it but do Not expect any results from that or anything i s2g. ive finished one fic in my life and that was half poetry half madness full one sitting and be done with it type deal

i finished six of crows!!! some more thoughts:

OH MY GOD. what a masterpiece!!! it's such an amazing book i am in awe!!! wow, the world is so unique, the heist was incredibly well crafted (leigh bardugo should help write like a heist for ocean's 8, just saying) and THE CHARACTERS. just wonderful i'm so wow — they are all just so fanstastic, there's so many layers to them. i just love them all so much.

so, matthias came through!!! thank saints. for a moment there, i was like 'MATTHIAS YOU TRAITOR HOW COULD YOU I WAS STARTING TO TRUST YOU and even like you a little more!!!' he really fooled me there and then proved me wrong, i like him a lot now!

poor nina!!! i really hope she gets through the addiction to the parem :'( it was heartbreaking to read how she is now 'jutting bones' etc from the last pov (pekka rollins) of the story. she was so brave & badass, such a sweet girl at heart, i love her so much

KAZ & INEJ. MY HEART. omg, and she was his vulnerability and i have no doubt inej will get through being kidnapped, she's tough (like, climbing up that incinerator was just so nerve wrecking and badass!!!) i was so proud of her for standing up to the peacock what's her name lol and stealing her necklace lmao XD you go girl!!! i just love her so much as well

kaz's backstory was so dark, i find it sad that kaz remembers jordie the way he does as well as what jordie says to him in kaz's mind: i really don't have or know a word for it so umm moving on, he definitely has gone through a lot of trauma, i just hope that he can find peace & happiness, either with inej or not. he deserves it so much. i really love him too :')

jesper!!! i love him!!! i really hope he and kaz can get through their rough patch (i mean, jesper didn't really mean to telling the dime lions about the heist) he's such a sweetheart, i love his friendship with inej & kaz especially. also, he's a fabrikator??? WHAT that was surprising. also aww, he likes wylan!!! i ship!

speaking of wylan, i love him so much wow??? he's so smart??? and like kaz said, who cares if he can't read? he deserves all the love!!! his scumbag of a father can just screw himself, when he said those awful things about wylan, i was ready to (ง'̀-'́)ง

that plan to switch kuwei yul bo with wylan was very smart, will wylan be able to change back though hmmm anyway and now on to kuwei, don't know much about him to love him but i do like him! as far as i can tell, he's definitely on the righter side of things cause there's no right side when it comes to outlaws vs evil 'what's the word for it', basically, he's against using the parem or killing grisha or using the grisha as weapons. also, how cool, he's an inferni!!!

i am looking forward to reading crooked kingdom!!!

18 chapters done with six of crows! some thoughts:

i can't believe i am really out here rooting for um...outlaws? IT'S AGAINST MY MORALS but i love!

besides it's a fantasy world (as i keep reminding myself) so it's fine. nerve wrecking though (more so than usual anyway, reading is always nerve wrecking)

it's really different from what i've read, i didn't think i'd like it that much but i. could. not. stop. reading.

that scene...kaz...eyeball...oof...i was wylan...bleh

matthias is...unpleasant. am i suppose to like him? he's getting a bit better after like the backstory with nina & him but anyway, these two got problems

kaz definitely likes inej and she likes him too right?

there's something there with wylan & jesper too, like there's potential...their interactions are hilarious lmao

(i already roughly know the main ships in the fandom so yeah, unclear to me if kaz & inej are canon tho)

inej : i love her!!! also how cool, one of her knives is named sankta alina??? *cries* i miss my girl so much

kaz : i love him!!! he's so smart & mysterious...

nina : we love a girl who loves cake, also something familiar from the grisha trilogy, she's a heartrender!!!

oh oh oh & that zoya and nikolai mentions ahhhhh

wylan : perhaps the one i can relate to the most, love

jesper : love him too!!! his way with guns' damn cool

yep i pretty much love them all, they're all really fantastic characters with great character depth, interesting backstories which i will know more about as i continue. i'm terrified of them but i still love them
