see to me 2022 is the year they start hooking up! their first kiss happened either in late 2021 or when they were trainees and they started to full on making out after their newyork trip. when turtlez get their own room while ningrina were still rooming together because their manager was staying with them, jm often sneaked up to mj's room and their makeout sessions always went one step ahead than the previous ones. also we know how into each other they were from moments like these

also i said this before im not sure if anyone remembers it but they fought like ppl that fuck. like are you telling me that two friends are fighting about how one is unromantic?? we still dont know the context of it too. so i think their first hookup happened before coachella(probably spring of 2022), they were loveydovey before going there too then something happened which lead to that arguement then it was resolved(if you looked at the thread i linked it on the previous ask you can see how jm gives in and trying to coax mj) but they made up without addressing the real issue. that summer was awkward in general and i think you can see it at the manager show. also that show is where aeri tells jm "you are not going to daydrink again are you?" so we know jm's alcoholism tendencies already started.

i think these unspoken feelings led to cracks in their relationship and there were times where they acted distant but it wasnt as noticable like 2023. so I think it went down like this: mj getting upset at jm, jm trying to coax her but when mj drags it out too long jm getting upset at mj. In august during smtown they seem close but I think they just made up with some unspoken words. real making up happened in paris after they went to see eiffel tower in casual clothes (all girls went out on "dates" but they took pics and were dressed up with bunch of staff aroun them. jmj's were more intimate imo.) then they were so so close when they were going back to korea you just know they fucked idc idc. their paris moments:

Hello! I honestly changed my opinion on some of these dates and this is sort of my updated jiminjeong timeline assuming the 2024 dating scandals are fake (don't take this too seriously this is just me being delusional lol)

THE JIMINJEONG TIMELINE:DIZZY VERSION

/PAST EVENTS/

-Began crushing on eo: they both started crushing on each other around predebut (2018/19?), but mj was aware of it and jm was in heavy denial so we could say jm didn't want to admit being in love with her coworker/best friend until 2021 or later

-first times:They totally were each others first kisses and first times, they had their first kiss back in 2019/2020 (and i bet they were drunk as fuck) and they had their first sexual intercourse with each other around 2021 or so, then they started having this casual on and off kissing and fucking sessions often until both of them couldn't handle the pain of keeping it casual anymore and then stopped doing it in really early 2023 cause they started seeing other people and hooking up with them as a scapegoat

Becoming exclusive: I think at some point they might have seen other people while being in this big situationship but I think they stopped seeing people around mid 2023 and just got in this big celibacy period where they wanted to be with each other and at the same time they couldn't because of some tension and other stuff

Becoming like an actual serious item: I still think that they actually settled down in early 2024 and they actually put a name to their relationship (girlfriends?, wives? soulmates? partners? who knows, but they seem to be sure that they are the ones for each other)

/FUTURE EVENTS/

-First intimate hug on camera: I'm lowkey thinking we might get an intimate hug on camera when that 2+ hours unreleased behind the scenes content comes out this month, but if that wasn`t the case I'm aiming for the official intimate hug around mid/late 2025/early 2026 (Although I do have high hopes for a proper hug on the second leg of this tour hehe)

-first kiss (could be anywhere) on camera; I am also thinking that we might get a cheek kiss or head kiss when that unreleased behind the scenes content releases this month, but again, If that wasn't the case we might get a proper cheek kiss maybe around 2026/27?

-them subtly coming out: we might get this in 2026/28 ( I don't trust 2027 guys!!), If I were to put a specific time range, I'm sensing that the days 12 to 30 of june 2026 or 2028 we might get some subtle signs of coming out

-them being engaged (privately not saying shit to the public): look, this might have happened around last year already, but if it hasn't I have a hunch that they might get engaged while on tour (soo around february or march 2025)

-them coming out publicly: Let's be honest, this might never happen unless South Korean society evolves quickly (and the rest of the world too, lately it feels like we're evolving backwards and not forward) but In an Ideal future jiminjeong would come out in 2030 or later when aespa is on their tenth year and each of them have solidified a life long spot in south korean entertainment history, maybe once they feel comfortable enough being at risk of losing their careers they might come out publicly, we'll never know, but I do hope that society stops going backwards in general, the future looks bleak.

-Marriage: They marry in Thailand the 27th of august of 2026 in a very private wedding with nn and gs and some family members or maybe they just marry without anyone invited yepyep

well this video is so interesting because if you watch their interviews from this day it seemed like jm was upset/frustrated with mj! for example here at the begining, the question is who is more affectionate, and everyone answers jm while jm answers gigi which even gigi is surprised with! you can see mj awkwardly laughing too and when jm explains her answer with "youre the only one answers back when i say i love you", mj says "what? is that right?" (they didnt fully translate what mj said in the vid)🙄🙄

here too at 2:13 mj links her arms with jm but jm looks at it and unlinks it! i always thought that jm was the one that first said "i love you" and mj couldnt say it back which made jm frustrated with her! this fits their "youre so unromantic fight too" so probably something happened that reminded jm of their unspoken feelings and she was cold to mj that day until they made up hence that moment hapenning later

i think jm was always ready to love mj selflessly but sometimes she felt used and without proof of mj's love towards her that made jm resent her. remember jm saying they have to dig for mj's feelings to figure out why she is upset about something and jm is glad to do that but sometimes it can be tiring when youre already stressed out about everything and all you want to do is shut your brain up and fall into your lovers arms but your lover gives you the cold shoulder without you even knowing why. when stuff like this happened and jm was tired of mj's behaviour, i think she became cold too until they made up! maybe that day mj tried to coax jm orrr lets make this a little toxic and say mj got angry at jm for not choosing her and turned that around to make it jm's fault to be spoiled which led to jm trying to make it up to her just like that unromantic fight!

i think this is something you might have noticed if you were a stan during that time because its not about what did they do and more about what they didnt do because there were times they didn’t interact at all. it wasnt like ppl on here doomposting everytime the girls hang out with their other friends, during that time you could tell the vibes were off because they didnt interact and they werent having dates in every spot they landed into but rather they choose to hang out with others. compare waterbomb and hongkong kcon for example. during waterbomb there is like one moment and its the members laughing bcs of aeri then jm guides mj into position for the next song while during kcon they were inseparable like how they usually act during a festival/award show etc. i think jm showed more effort to hang out with mj than the opposite like after a day of hanging out separately (i think mj was with managers) jm was eager to see her again

another thing is how mj celebrated jm’s birthday like during this year she didnt post a pic of them but she was still more sincere than this. like the last time i said this someone called me greedy but this nawt the mj i know idc!! like we got the “its love” vid prior to this

overall i wont say they were fighting actively but they werent the jmj we know right now only thing we depended on was them looking at each others direction at a concert but stuff started to change for the better after jms insta post and these:

It’s definitely a fun clip and all in good nature but it just makes me think about jm sometimes getting too overwhelmed with her desire for mj (maybe even more than desire - romantic feelings, but it’s easier for her to dismiss them as purely lust and wanting to blow off steam than it is for her to admit she has feelings for the girl) she would pull her in close, kiss her, maybe even more, and mj is surprised bc jms been icing her out a bit recently but also just too happy that she has jm (even if just for this very moment) that she doesn’t even question it, maybe even too scared to ask jm about it because she knows the older girl will leave her again as soon as she brings it up

well i think the roots of it was from 2022 which is a year they started fooling around in my delusional head and since they couldn't get themselves to talk about it, it led to cracks in their relationship. those cracks led their silly arguments to blow up into something more serious and that caused them to be cold to each other. i dont think they were fighting all the time but it was very on and off during the summer like they would hang out with each other with no problems but something would happen that will remind them to reality of their situation and buum they would become awkward, being around each other would feel suffocating. i think around late august they started to make an effort to be more civil around each other because they couldnt handle this sinking feeling any longer. i think the vibes of this awkward making up phase is apparent in meta behind and that day jimin made the "fall is just around the corner" post with mj too

I think the winter, karina, giselle instagram live they did in august 2023 is peak jmj angst yearn

So in my personal timeline headcanon (and I think shared by a lot of others) 2023 was a patchy time for them - early on going into a more platonic / no sex era (due to arguments that came from over complicating their friendship, but they still felt romantic + sexual things for each other, which then became more intense the longer the tried to stay away from each other). I think the tour was what made them start hooking up again- the freedom of being away from Korea, the adrenaline from tour, the being together constantly. So at the time of this live, we have a jmj who hookup in secret on tour, pretending to themselves and to each other it’s not romantic, which is then making them unconsciously tetchy and on edge with each other when they’re not hooking up (on stage, in rehearsal- this again is also enhanced by the being together all day everyday with tour rehearsals and the performances themselves).

Now in the live we see

- a kind of off energy the whole way through. Of course they’re still friends and acting like such but also compared to their 2022/earlier lives where they were clingy + affectionate to this? It just makes the whole vibe a bit.. it seems like jm is less comfortable than when she did lives alone or with aeri in this era (see: her hiding her face, her wanting to go off camera occasionally, her needing a break to “get sweets”)

- despite this, jm is clearly staring at mj a lot this live. When she does turn her head from the screen, it’s nearly always at mj even when she’s not talking. And there is a very noticeable point where she is looking at mj through the screen (she smiles to herself when mj pulls a face)

- kind of jealous jm? Whenever aeri and mj are interacting or joking or laughing between them jms face falls completely flat. I wouldn’t say she looks angry or jealous persay but she just stops talking and smiling and stares dead faced - maybe more dare fetched but her completely out the blue calling out that fan that said they wanted to date mj 😭

- jm making a comment that she hoped nn scared winter through the hotel walls in the middle of the night. The joke itself was normal but that whole section seemed so odd again. (Theory is jm was practically begging for mj to invite her to stay in her room and using her being scared as an excuse)

Anyway sorry for such a rant im just rewatching it now and going crazy. As the live progresses they do both seem to get more into it and interact a bit more and are giggly more but it makes me think it was tense between the two of them before they started

Piggybacking this legendary analysis you can genuinely see the insane yearning and the cute awkwardness with them in the tingle interview(this interview was published in 2023 Nov this was during drama era when they started to fix things I guess). I LOVED the fake “gagging” when they looked at each other’s eyes and the chemistry test excitement. One thing I love about aespa is their consistency and their room for improvement. Because of their healthy growth I genuinely think this affects their relationship as a group and as gfs for jmj positively. Before, even though they were super popular and globaly known aespa was bit of a mess because of the companies uncertainty and the hate train they received so it makes totally sense of their on and off relationship and their messy arguments (this what’s makes them a real ass couple btw.)
