I’m really bad about writing. I can’t reread what I wrote or I’ll hate it and never work on it again. I’m too self conscious about it. I need to work on that because my writing style can get a bit rushed and I feel like I need to reread to space things out better but we’ll see 🤷🏻‍♀️

Part of me really wants to write a mafia au but idk how good of a writer I am with incredibly dark content, that’s my worry. I’ve incorporated dark content, to an extent, but it’s never a main focus. I have too many ongoing stories and only 1 posted 😂😂

ah, yeah, that sounds frustrating. i feel like the only way to get comfortable with darker writing, especially, is to work it over in drafts. at the very least, for sensitivity purposes. to be honest, that might help with the self-consciousness stuff, too? but maybe not.

in my experience, first drafts are always going to be a little messy, even if you polish as you write. for intense smut and action scenes in collateral, i proofread around 4 or 5 times. sometimes more lol. and that is not to say it's perfect; i bet i could open any chapter and feel the urge to edit. but i am really proud overall, personally, and for me, the multiple drafts really helps because it gives me a chance to fine-tune a lot of details.

like, beta readers are helpful, but they can only do so much.

but that may not work for everyone, so i don't want this to seem like it's me suggesting this is the only way for things to be. it is just the way i kind of got over those similar feelings about my own writing. (but i also write a ton. i've been writing poetry and small prose pieces that are not posted publicly for like...........no joke, 20 years.)

On a more fun note, I cried in the middle of my school today so that was fun. I missed my friend’s wedding this summer and my friend got really mad at me even though it wasn’t entirely in my control since I can’t drive and the location was well over an hour from me. The only person who went through my area went up two days early and I couldn’t afford that. I was terrified my friends were going to hate me because I had a mental breakdown about all of it. I think everything’s okay now, luckily.

They shouldn’t blame you for something completely out of your control. Though I’m glad it sounds like everything worked out for you! Sorry that you felt bad about the whole situation❤️

Now I just watch too much SMTM and see Code Kunst’s cats on Instagram all the time. Spiraling into Khiphop is such a time, really 😂😂 and now all the hiphop and Kpop collabs are wild. TXT putting out a remix with Woodie and pH-1 plus SKZ and Tiger JK? That’s crazy, really. And Changbin making it passed the first round of SMTM 9 when being judged by Justhis? It’s such a strange time to be in Kpop 😂😂

the collabs are super cool! i was very excited to see Tiger JK with Stray Kids! i haven't been watching any of the shows, but that's awesome news for Changbin. i believe it was a clip from SMTM that i watched with Youngji and she was incredible, but i am not 100% sure.

i'm more into the like......dreamy, indie side of the tangential-to-kpop side of things (like miso, maddox, jiwoo, bibi, woodz, etc.) but i definitely appreciate hip hop and will look into some of these artists that you have mentioned!!! i always need more music in my life.

Basically, my best friend describes my personality as a mix between Jimin and Hobi so it’s nearly impossible for me not to be optimistic (I mean, about anything other than myself). She’s Yoongi 😂 so I’m the balance so it doesn’t seem like she hates everyone in the world 98% of the time. She can also call me almost any time with an issue and I will do what I can to make it better. I’ve even spammed her with pictures of every single one of her biases because she cried. Theres a video 😂

I’m Going Home!

Ah, it’s been two months already! I’m taking a taxi to the hospital, and then the Northern Health bus will take me to the hospital in Vanderhoof. It’ll be 5:30 PM, then, and my family will be waiting for me. I can’t wait! I’ve got all these resources, and now I can go out and use them! I’ll probably not be online as much, and I’ll definitely be looking for a job, but I’ll be online when I can, of course! Love you all!

My top 2 always end up being Yonmin and Sope. Jimin brings out the sweet in Yoongles and Hobi brings out the crackhead 😂😂 I actually don’t have an A03, weirdly. I only recently discovered it’s existence I’ve currently switched gears and am on a gander binge for no reason. Maybe just because it’s a side I haven’t really read any on and it’s wild 😪. I have too much free time so I guess I’m just filling it with random content.

I started a somewhat mafia one shot nut we’ll see if it pans out the way I want. I’m not sure if I like it yet. I think I listen to too much true crime because I’m over here stuck between it being wild and being aware that there’s way crazier sh- stuff in the world (I always second guess cussing on the internet 😂🤷🏻‍♀️). I’m rabbit holing the stories a little too hard right now 😂

i love sope and yoonmin, but namgi is my forever pairing i think. and i read a lot of yoonjin. honestly, i like any of them with any of them enough that there is no pairing i would turn down.

i also listen to a lot of true crime. (i was just listening to crime junkie while doing dishes/cooking dinner lolol.) i like when a show tries to present cases like cautionary tales or to help provide resources. other shows *coughmyfavoritemurdercoughswordandscalecoughcough* were so hoaky and almost glorify the cases too much back when they were getting popular. sorry, i am once again on a soapbox haha. i tend o do that.

i have a jikook fic where jimin is a true crime podcaster and jungkook is a serial killer, if you're interested. it is very dark, so no pressure!!! (it's not on my master list.)

good luck on the mafia fic! i almost never read the genre, so i have no advice to give haha i kinda just make shit up for Collateral and hope for the best.

Turns out, after a quick Google search, I am the exact same height as her. My bias happens to be his best friend with scrawny designer chopstick legs. I’ve worked on writing some but not enough to actually have anything finished 😒. Mostly because I keep starting new stuff.

Also, don’t worry about how long it takes to reply! Everyone gets busy so I really don’t mind! As someone who technically has a college degree and only survived by the skin of her teeth, I get it. Also, I, entirely by accident, found your reading blog and your commentary on stuff sent me rolling 😂 it mostly happened because I was trying to find a good Yoonmin fic 😂

I’ve been teaching myself embroidery!! It just feels nice to make things. I haven’t written the Hobi Drabble yet just because I’m still unsure what I want the storyline to be yet. I finished the Minho Drabble though. It’s not much but it was just cause I had an idea floating around in my head and I needed it out.

I haven’t really worked on anything at all today. I might just work on the Sope x reader au I’ve been writing tomorrow or something. I think I’ve mostly finished the first chapter so I might edit it some. For some reason, I’m stuck on Hybrid AUs lately 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’ve just stopped questioning it 😂😂

Side note, my best friend just sent me a clip of Yugyeom following around Lee Hi and the height difference is devastating. I’m pretty sure she and I are about the same height 😂
