"Who's been sleeping in MY bed?" the little one asked

I had a comment on my previous post asking if Jimin & JK stayed at the same hotel in NY and I realised I had assumed Jimin stayed in JK's room. But I don't think he did and I have thoughts on this whole situation.
[[ETA a few ppl have mentioned they had to read this twice. I apologise that this post jumps around and meanders and side-tracks all over. Believe it or not i did try to organise it... unfortunately it's an accurate representation of my brain]]
It's taken a few (probably way more than necessary) hours of looking at every bloody room in the Loews-Regency NY, and going back and forth between Are You Sure, I am Still, and the AYS behind clips to work it it but I can confidently say I know exactly* what unfolded on the night Jimin arrived in NY...
*clearly a lie, since we never REALLY know anything... However by collecting all the clues** left in these 3 series I do have a lot of circumstantial evidence. Combining that with a bit of deductive reasoning and a healthy dose of speculation, I have a decent enough theory.
** This cannot be accidental. The same people would be responsible (to an extent) for all three series. They have managed not to re-use any content, except once or twice we get the same scene from different angles. And that means we have a lot of information. BH knows army well enough to know we are absolutely going to gather up the (red) threads of these series and stitch together a story.
This is what i know:
Jungkook was in a Two Bedroom Suite - he had the master bedroom.
A Grand Executive Suite was used as a dressing room (but not much else).
Jimin had a Grand Executive Suite to himself (almost).
This is what I have reasonable evidence of:
Jungkook's master bedroom in the two bedroom suite was clearly used. Clothes on a chair, two open suitcases, personal items on the nightstand etc are evidence of the space being occupied. However when we saw him packing to leave for AYS, the bed looked largely unused. A dent in one pillow (the other pillows thrown across the bed) shows someone lay down on the bed, but the comforter was undisturbed and even the blanket at the bottom of the bed was still in place.
At first i was amazed that JK's suite is shown almost without restriction. It is not treated as a private space. But then i realised we see a number of staff moving in and out of the space too. It dawned on me that even though JK has an area for his own use (the master bedroom) this is considered a work environment, much like the hotels in BV and ITS.
So it's unsuprising that when filming, the staff casually follow JK around as he does his thing, even making a point of showing spaces we wouldn't otherwise see - like the master bathroom with its great big tub. Jungkook himself invites us into the living area when he checks on reactions to the Seven MV. and in AYS we get a glimpse into the kitchen.
We don't get to see the second bedroom or bathroom so I assume a staff member - maybe JK's manager - used those.
Compare this to the way Jimin's space is treated:
Jimin's suite is treated - mostly - as a private space. It's not just careful editing. By the actions of the staff members filming him we can see they are very aware of this.
We see it at the start of AYS when the staff member wakes Jimin up. They stay in the doorway of Jimin's suite, literally not even stepping inside. We see only a glimpse of the (second) bathroom, and the footage is cut when the camera pans away. Jimin seems quite cheerful about being on camera despite his sleep swollen face and his bed hair, but nevertheless the staff member doesn't enter his room.
On both occasions when we see Jimin's suite, the staff member recording him is cautious about being his space.
That's not something we often see when BTS are on camera - especially not as overtly we saw it here. The privacy of Jimin's suite is very obviously being respected.
Packing for AYS: Jungkook vs Jimin (and the MOOD)
In the Behind clip for AYS we see both of them packing for their getaway.
Jungkook seems quite unbothered about having his packing process documented as he moves around the big suite. It crosses no boundaries for him. He hums and haws about what to take, he chats to the staff member, and he talks to the camera as he moves from room to room. He knows he's working and this is part of his job.
Jimin, on the other hand is rattled. He stuffs his clothes into the cumbersome bag with visible annoyance, not even taking the time to open the bag properly.
Now remember, Jimin is a performer. He goes out of his way to be charming and entertaining. He knows how to turn that on for the camera and in this moment he's choosing not to.
He doesn't engage with the audience.
He doesn't talk to the staff member.
He doesn't turn towards the camera.
He gives nothing.
He huffs in exasperation as he struggles with the bag, and his movements are tense and abrupt.
Prickly is the word that comes to mind, but honestly that doesn't even cover it.
When he's done packing, he snatches that bag up and marches out of the room without a second glance.
His hair covers his eyes like a shield as he walks toward the camera but the tightness in his neck and jaw betrays strong emotion.
Yeah he's not happy
He slips through the half open door and strides down the hallway.
I get the feeling that if the staff member didn't move fast enough, Jimin would run them over.
When something like this happens, my response is usually to look closer, so let's do that.
Firstly Jimin is a consummate professional. He can usually put a good face on any situation. But in this case he doesn't even seem to try. I guess whatever is bothering him is not something he can or will just brush off in that moment.
So what's actually happening here?
What is it that's pissed Jimin off to such an extent?
Let's look at it again...
They are filming him pack his bag. The staff member stands closely beside Jimin and focuses only him, his bag, and the sofa.
Let's be honest, there is absolutely nothing interesting about this scene (except the implications we are currently unpacking).
They could have made this count for a little more, maybe by panning around the room or changing the position of the camera in relation to Jimin. But they don't. Even when, by chance, there's a glimpse of what looks like takeout containers on the coffee table and some random debris on the chair behind Jimin, the staff member moves so that we only see Jimin, the bag and the sofa. That is all we're getting.
That's a clear decision and there has to be a reason for that decision.
When they leave the room, we have an abrupt cut before the camera backs out the door and down the hallway. That's another clear decision. The staff member could easily have moved behind Jimin and followed him out of the suite but this keeps them - and us - out of Jimin's personal (private) space and he remains the literal gatekeeper to that room.
Once they are out of the room Jimin lifts his head briefly, shakes his hair out of his eyes, and strides purposefully - defiantly even - on. He still doesn't interact or make eye contact. He still isn't giving them (or us) a damn thing, and even the funky upbeat muzak they've used can't alleviate the tension in this scene.
So why is Jimin in a mood?
We know Jimin was there for one night before they began filming for AYS. So all this takes place before filming for AYS began.
And that, in my mind, is the key.
Jungkook was promoting his album and he expected to be on camera. He knew the space he occupied was a filming location. Jungkook was already at work when he was packing for AYS. but Jimin was not.
Okay, but this a BIG MOOD... what else is happening?
It's not the end of the world to be asked to start your schedule a little earlier, is it? We know Jimin was already awake...
But they came into his room.
I don't believe he expected to have anyone in his private suite - anyone besides Jungkook. And I don't believe he agreed happily, based on his behaviour.
I'm 99% sure Jungkook spent the night in Jimin's suite for two reasons.
Logically it makes sense that they would choose the place they have the most privacy, and even though Jungkook had the master bedroom and a private bathroom in the bigger suite, that is a WORK LOCATION. It's not his private space.
Add to that Jungkook saying he was packed and ready to go, and only needed to brush his teeth which he would do when Jimin arrived. He even told us where he would be putting his toothbrush (future tense).
It's not hard to guess where his toothbrush was. And why.
So we have two healthy young adults who (we are told repeatedly by Jungkook) have barely seen each other. The flirting started at the restaurant, and we've already seen the evidence of a night spent in energetic passion.
And we have a closed-up room. I don't know how much air would be circulating in that room with the blinds down and the doors closed. I don't know how much air would need to circulate to remove the ...how can I put this delicately? the ripe and musky scent of celebration. I expect there was A LOT of celebration...
And we have Jimin. Jimin is MESSY. Jimin breaks mosquito nets and marks people's necks and pushes boundaries even in public. He throws his things about with not a care in the world... clothes, yes, and other things. How many of Jimin's tissues has JK picked up? You get the picture. It's a Biohazard.
Lastly, we have (or had) an expectation of privacy, of no staff, of restricted access.
Now there's a person in his private space unexpectedly. And they have a camera.
So Jimin is pissed off.
I'd be pissed off too.
He seems to be over it by the time they're filming the preamble to AYS, but he obviously felt compromised and deeply uncomfortable. I am glad he made it clear he was unhappy.
This highlights for me the importance of them having agency over their content and their personal time and space. On this occasion he must have reluctantly (and with conditions) agreed but I hope that in future his boundaries are respected.
I hope even more that ARMY (and Jikookers especially. I hold us to a higher standard) remember that their personal time and space is precious to them, and they deserve to enjoy their lives away from the public eye. Like the rest of us they should have the freedom and confidence to do what they want (no matter how messy) without the fear that someone with a camera will invade their space and record them.
Please don't go to Jungkook's house, even while he's not there. It's not a tourist attraction.

Jungkook is all grown up ~ Min Yoongi, June 13, 2022

So, I guess we’ve all had a chance to restart our hearts and get our big girl undergarments changed after seeing this:

Is this the “climax” of what Kookie has been working on since early February? He's had an agenda all this time?
Jungkook has been trying to break out of this BABY star candy, golden BABY, BABY highness, giant BABY villain bubble he’s been in forever. I feel called out, JK. Let’s not kid ourselves though. He’s been grown up for a few years now.
JK biases/stans have always been horny over him and see him as his My Time performance sex god. It took me a while to view Kookie in that light. The muscles, the boxing, the tattoos, the piercings do not tickle that "sensation" in me as easily as it does for the JK biases. I'm resistant to his "charms."
I do love him but Jimin is the one who makes me think and feel things I won’t detail here. As I said to my bestie the other day: "I don't know why I feel that way about that skinny little thing." Seriously, the idea of a bias is so interesting though isn't it? So, just saying, the following is my point of view as I think out loud....
When I first saw this image:

… for a split second my brain registered "Jimin" and then went "huh?"…. hmmmmm. Of course it also went, wow, naked. Also I thought, let's get it JK... bring it.
And then upon seeing the rest of the images and his behind the scenes video I had to sit with it and think about it... the other similarities in the other images: the spikes, the grainy photo effect... very intriguing. They (Jimin and Jungkook) really do play off each other don't they?

As I'm processing all of this, I think about what I know:
They have a team of stylists. They have a team for content. They have teams for each member. They have staff. It's the "big machine" that Namjoon mentioned once. And the big machine all work in tandem.
What I’m assuming:
The teams may work on all or some of the members. For instance some people on the style team may work on Jimin and Jungkook but not on RM’s team. We don't know though. Might be one team who works on every single one of them and individuals are just delegated to doing the tasks.
More specifically, and also for example… I know Bit and Boot (the hair stylists) travels with them overseas. So I am going to assume the Bit n Boot team consists of a point person and several others who style their hair. Or maybe they are one and the same person. Or maybe several stylists. I don’t know. I'm assuming more than one because when they are overseas they need others to tend to the other members needs elsewhere.
I know the wardrobe team in the past has explained they get samples from clothing companies or design houses and they catalog them for future use. They meet with the members (at the time I saw this information the solo era had not begun yet) and determine what sort of look or concept will suit a particular theme. This is a very creative process in my opinion. And this one particularly would be involved in the members' solo concepts because other than the actual set surrounding the subject, its the clothing that conveys the vibe and theme.
So all that being said… seeing JK’s images very similar to Jimin’s is so interesting to me. I feel 99% sure it was not a coincidence nor was it incompetence or the ridiculous claim of “plagiarism.” I saw JK's smile when he saw Jimin commenting during his lives. I saw it when he was watching Jimin on tv. I saw him say wait until midnight when something amazing is coming (SMF MV) so don't try to tell me now that he's undermining Jimin's work.
There’s something else going on here that we don’t know what the goal is yet but copying Jimin is not it. JK is conveying his concept. I am a big proponent of the members making the choices and decisions for their solo work. I am 99% sure this was done intentionally. But why?
HOWEVER. THAT BEING SAID. I recall how much Kookie has been watching Jimin over the years. At least ten years now. And I feel strongly that Jimin has influenced JK tremendously. I feel like JK has learned how to be empathic and he’s learned about work ethic (though putting that into motion for him looks much different than it does for Jimin). And if Kookie thinks Jimin is sexy when he does [insert whatever it is Jimin does that turns Kookie on] then he might try to emulate that? Remember, I'm just thinking out loud here.
Or are they really just flipping us the bird and doing what they know turns each other on? That would be a fabulous joke on us. I would love it, to be honest. Jungkook has been vocal in the past whenever Jimin has shown his sexy side and he's been pretty obviously obsessed with him in his lives lately too.
Anyway...
We may never know, it might be a mystery forever why the image concepts are so similar. We can make up all the theories we want (and we do) and make assumptions and “put two and two together” reading between the lines, but knowing exactly what was going through their heads is something we’ll never know unless they tell us.
Is there something in the near future that this is all leading to? I guess we have to wait and see… (don’t you hate it when someone says that?)
Maybe it will be for the long awaited Jikook collab? I had a video concept that I sketched out roughly for my bestie yesterday but now I'm going to elaborate on it: JKxJM collab, the MV opens with Jimin stepping out of his Like Crazy MV set with the mud splattered pants and JK stepping out of his Seven MV set in his oversized outfit and they start taking off their clothes but underneath each layer are their "look alike" clothes and there is layer upon layer they have to take off and its comical because there are so many couple outfits they've worn over the years, until finally they get down to the white tank tops and boxer shorts and then they break it down in the mother of all dance breaks that will break the internet and slough off the dead meat of the fandom and then when the song is over, they walk off the set arms over each other in a giggling fit.
Why hasn't BigHit hired me yet? My brain is full of these uniquely creative ideas that will never see the light of day.
#jungkook seven#jikook#kookmin#bts chapter 2#my chest is what comes next#what rhymes with pants off because i want those to be next#duh... dance off pants off#LETS GET IT#manifesting jimin in new york city

The Untold Stories of “Are You Sure!?”
I know it's been quite some time since Jikook's travel show, Are You Sure?, aired on Disney+, and I've been wanting to share my thoughts about it here ever since. After watching the entire series twice, I've finally organized my reflections and found time to put them into words. Without further preamble or disclaimer, let's dive right in.

I’m Not Sure…
I must admit that a duo trip for Jikook and a reality show based on it wasn’t in the most optimistic Jikookers’ bingo card. But we got it in the best way possible, a whole Disney+ series with some of the most beautiful, meaningful, and intimate Jikook moments to gush about for years. Through the eight episodes, we saw them talking sweetly, laughing together, cuddling and touching intimately, being domestic, and taking care of each other. I can talk about those moments for hours, but I know many Jikookers have done it in the past few months, and I’m going to look at this show from a different point of view; What does this show add to our Jikookery encyclopedia?
For new fans, this show can be a guide to know more about Jikook’s real and special bond, but for veteran Jikookers like us, maybe there was not much new information. We cherished seeing them together, enjoyed their sweet moments, and learned more unknown facts about them and their dynamics. You may say we already knew how inseparable and couply they are and have been familiar with their domestic nature. But was that all we perceived from AYS, or we can go deeper and find more? Yes, there is always more to see without hallucination or delusion.
First of all, keep in mind that AYS is a TV show after all, and we know TV shows, including reality shows, can be scripted. These shows are often filmed and edited in ways that emphasize specific narratives or push certain agendas. I’ve discussed the topic of "Scripts in BTS Content" before (link) and concluded that the narratives in BTS reality shows, especially the paid ones, aren’t far from the members’ real dynamics, making them largely authentic. However, in the case of AYS, we have even more solid proof of this authenticity: Jimin and JK themselves confirmed that we see them as they are in the show.

But the thing is, what we saw in the show wasn't everything. No matter how honest and authentic they try to be, approximately 96% of the footage had to be edited out to condense an eight-day trip into less than ten hours of television series. This percentage would be even higher if we accounted for duplicate shots from multiple cameras and repeated scenes - though there's no precise way to calculate this. The truth remains: there was far more that went unseen, and I'm attempting to shed light on these untold stories from "Are You Sure?!"
USA
The first chapter of AYS was also the shortest, consisting of only two episodes, and it began with Jikook in New York, US. The timing of this trip was particularly interesting: JK traveled to the US on July 12th for his "Seven" promotions and GMA performance, and the next day, we saw Jimin at the airport heading to the same destination. Unofficial sources had announced that they were planning to film something together in New York - which turned out to be true, though not the full story. What many Jikookers overlooked was the significance of this moment for JK's career. As he embarked on his solo journey with a bold, sexy song and romantic music video, he clearly wanted Jimin by his side during this pivotal and stressful moment.
Meanwhile, Jimin’s presence beside JK served as crucial emotional support during this important moment in his career. While some might argue that Jimin similarly supported Hobi and Suga during their solo performances by traveling to the US, and JK is just another BTS member he loves and supports. But don’t forget that both times in August 2022 and May 2023 had coincided with Jimin’s own solo schedules in that country. This time, however, his trip had no purpose other than filming a potential travel show and simply being there for JK. This was when Jimin had just finished recording his second album, Muse, and "finally" had free time to spend with JK, plus, unlike Hobi and Yoongi’s solo performances, Jimin’s presence in New York for JK, wasn’t covered in the respective Bangtan Episode.
However, their journey immediately faced setbacks: JK's live performance was canceled due to heavy rain in New York, leaving him feeling gloomy, he even joked about being "cursed by water" on their first day. On the other hand, Jimin got sick and spent most of the day unwell, growing pessimistic about their show's prospects. Despite this streak of bad luck, they managed to uplift each other and enjoy being together. The second day told a different story, with Jimin feeling better and JK supposedly being happy about "Seven" topping the charts, their real dynamic emerged, leading to some of their most intimate moments. I’m sure you know which moments I’m talking about.

Okay, let's address the elephant in the room: “Jikook discussing how they hadn't seen each other”. Their conversation in the first episode about this separation raised questions about their dynamic during the solo era, specifically the period between the YTC Busan concert and the release of "Seven". Despite the inaccuracy in the official English subs for this part of the episode, I have to remind you, the era Jikook were talking about was when Jin and then Hobi enlisted in the military after releasing their farewell gifts for fans, Namjoon and Jimin released solo albums, and Yoongi embarked on a solo tour after his comeback.
At the same time, we stopped seeing Jikook together as frequently as before. This coincidence between the solo era activities and Jikook's so-called separation fueled conspiracy theories among haters, with claims like "Chapter two revealed the members' true relationships”. But we already had the answer to these claims: Jimin was working intensely on not one but two albums simultaneously, leaving him little time to spend with JK or anyone else outside his work. Meanwhile, JK had more free time, which explains why he was frequently seen socializing with various friends and acquaintances.
So, the question is: Did Jikook really not see each other for six, seven months? We witnessed them together at least four times during this period and it appears our definition of "not seeing each other" differs from Jikook’s. They were specifically referring to their inability to spend meaningful quality time together, which simply wasn't possible during that era. However, immediately after finishing recording his second album, Jimin went straight to JK to create new memories with him. Personally, I think parts of this "separation era" weren't solely due to busy schedules. At that time, they still were not sure about their upcoming enlisting situation, and perhaps they were trying to do a trial for their eventual military separation, but they failed miserably, ended up pining over each other. So, this result possibly leading to their joint enlistment decision. Of course, this remains just a theory and I could be entirely wrong, and the simpler explanation might be Jimin's overwhelming workload at the time.
Now let's discuss the untold part of the story. After wrapping up their trip and filming, Jimin returned to South Korea on July 18th while JK remained in the US to depart for London the following day. Considering the time difference between Connecticut and South Korea, Jimin actually stayed for more night and day after filming concluded. This means they spent at least one full night and day together off-camera. Antoya, the New York restaurant, confirmed in an official post that Jimin and JK dined there twice, first time with cameras and staff and the second time without them, while the show included only brief footage from Antoya, mere seconds of them discussing JK's sore throat.
Based on their filming schedule, we can determine the second visit occurred after they returned to New York from Connecticut, following the completion of shooting. This confirms they enjoyed private time together, just the two of them. Jikook's time in the US wasn't just about their couple-like conversations during hikes or their casual touches on the boat or in bed. Their connection went much deeper: JK cared for Jimin when he was sick, prayed for his recovery, and prepared special meals for him. Similarly, Jimin supported JK through his stressful days, and as we realized by analyzing their travel schedules earlier, it was something that extended far beyond simply filming a show.
We never saw footage of Jikook's topless photo on the wharf or never witnessed how Jimin's nose got injured by JK's elbow in their sleep. While we were deprived of many potential moments, what we did receive were some of the most genuine and authentic episodes of the series. The impact of this trip on Jikook was big enough that we saw JK passionately discussing their experience on Suchitwa and begging Jimin to join his live just days after returning, the experience that was pleasant enough to motivated them to continue the show with more travel destinations.
Jeju
The next destination for Jikook’s travel show was Jeju Island in South Korea. These three episodes featured Taehyung accompanying Jikook, though his participation was included to the show only two days before filming began. While this last-minute addition sparked unnecessary controversy among some shippers, it’s important to recognize the benefits of Taehyung’s guest appearance; it proved that aside from the predetermined itinerary and props, nothing else about the show was scripted. Moreover, despite the presence of a third party, Jikook continued to display their unique and romantic connection - both on and off camera. Also, for viewers seeking an unbiased comparison of their dynamics, these episodes are valuable case studies.
Vminkook enjoyed numerous exciting activities in Jeju, from ocean fishing and kart racing to more mundane moments like shared meals, sleep, and playing together. Despite the Jeju episodes having the shortest average runtime (60 minutes compared to 63 and 77 minutes for the US and Sapporo) and including lengthy scenes like their 15-minute Japanese restaurant meal, we were still treated to precious Jikook moments. Highlights included their heartfelt conversation about enlisting together, the adorable pool scene, their casual cuddles in bed, and romantic interactions alongside playful bickering and roleplaying. These moments, authentic and unfiltered, reinforced just how deeply connected and inseparable they are, no matter who accompanies them.
Aside from what was shown on camera, there were some other interesting facts to notice. As we know, the Jeju filming officially began on September 26th and concluded on the 28th, just before Chuseok. I’m not sure if you were aware of the rumors from a credible source, about Jikook being spotted in Jeju during August that year, but I understand if you remain skeptical. Regardless of the rumor’s validity, Jimin himself confirmed their off-camera time together when he mentioned spending the night with JK right before departing for Jeju.
What makes this sleepover particularly special is the fact that JK had only arrived in Seoul the previous day, and we witnessed him rushing through the airport to go home. By his own admission, he hadn’t slept since landing, implying they stayed awake together all night. Even more intriguing, we later learned that Jikook received confirmation of their buddy system approval that same day. It’s highly likely they celebrated this news with a night of dining and drinks together alone—yet all we received was a vague mention in the show.
However, these off-camera moments extended far beyond their private date night. When JK’s mom mentioned Jimin twice during their phone call and inquired about their Chuseok reunion, the warmth of familial bonds was sensible. Throughout their trip, JK remained by Jimin’s side, even when Taehyung stepped away for personal activities, he lingered nearby even as Jimin slept, a quiet but telling detail. The show removed many intimate moments, for example the footage related to the iconic photobook image of JK proudly displaying Jimin’s name written in sunscreen on his belly. But I’m far from disappointed, if anything, I’m grateful for all the beautiful moments we got beyond our expectations.
Japan
As someone who doesn't particularly enjoy cold, snowy weather, I found these Sapporo episodes to be unexpectedly warm and sweet, and they left me emotionally attached. It's no surprise that Jikook themselves seemed to cherish this part of their travels most of all, as it marked their final trip before military enlistment. Japan has held special meaning for them since at least GCF in Tokyo, and winter has always been their favorite season. While their US trip presented some mishaps they weren't prepared for, and Jeju introduced a third party that altered their dynamic, Sapporo offered something different. Here, they seemed at ease - ready and willing to showcase their peak authentic, boyfriend behavior.
The Sapporo episodes featured some of the most memorable moments in the entire series, from their strolls along snowy sidewalks and playful antics on Sapporo's empty streets to listening to romantic songs while sharing AirPods on the train. Their indoor moments were also precious from playing and bickering to half naked Jacuzzi moments. At one point, Jimin remarked that is just how they are at home as laying on the floor singing, as JK effortlessly completing his verses like it is their everyday routine. Though their impending enlistment loomed in their thoughts and made the atmosphere bittersweet, these moments felt so natural and effortless.
There were so many sweet moments in these three episodes that I won’t be able to recount every one of them, I know you remember them as vividly as I do, and I cherish them all. As this post’s purpose suggests, I want to focus on the untold part of their Japan journey: Tokyo. We all saw them depart Seoul on November 23rd and return on the 28th, yet the three episodes of Japan only covered Sapporo. What went unshown were their two nights and two days in Tokyo. Yes, JK had his "Hate You" MV filming and an interview scheduled, but Jimin had no professional reason to accompany him, he could have joined JK later in Sapporo. Jimin was amid preparing Muse and might have used those days to rest or wrap up his work. Yet they chose to travel together, deliberately carving out private time away from cameras.
So, it's safe to say that the Tokyo portion of Jikook's Japan trip served as their private time together - a detail made even more meaningful by their personal history with the city. Throughout show promotions and commentary, they referenced their 2017 trip a few times, suggesting that they wanted to recreate those precious memories before enlistment. And so they did just for the two of them, preserving these new moments for themselves just as they had six years prior, never intended for filming or public viewing, and all we saw was a beautiful four-minute long edit created by JK himself, and of course Jimin’s sweet twitter edit. But this time, two photos of Jimin in Tokyo presumably taken by JK was all that we were allowed to see.

We Are Sure
After years of promoting the OT7 (7-1=0) narrative, Are You Sure?! a travel show, exclusively featuring Jikook, emerged as a completely unexpected phenomenon. To be honest, this Jikook portrayal, unaligned with most of the Jikook narratives we have seen from Hybe in the past few years. Does this signal a future shift? A soft or hard launch? I can't say for certain, and I prefer to remain pessimistic, only time will reveal the truth. What's undeniable is that AYS was a gift and a blessing for anyone who genuinely loves Jimin and JK. The series offered us rare glimpses of their authentic dynamic, something we'll always be grateful to Jikook for sharing. Across eight episodes and 52 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage, their undeniable chemistry shone through. Their endless inside jokes and constant roleplaying revealed just how close they are off-camera, maintaining their special connection in their own private world.
After reflecting on all the beautiful moments in Jikook's exclusive show, I wanted to end this post on a positive note, but one issue demands acknowledgment. Jimin and JK openly expressed their love for this journey and the series itself, and asked us to give it love and support. Yet the harsh reality remains; ARMY collectively chose to ignore the show, even voting against it for iHeartRadio awards. While disappointing, this wasn't surprising, because these haters knew that any success for this show could signal Hybe to produce similar content in the future, an outcome they clearly fear. At the very least, I challenge those dismissing Jikook's bond as "fanservice", true fanservice caters to fans, and when the so-called fandom rejects the content, this label becomes meaningless.
Whether fans like it or not, and regardless of Hybe commercialization, Jikook will continue doing as they please, and their actions clearly demonstrate that being together is their priority. Their joint enlistment and little to no updates from the military proven this beyond doubt. Military service is no luxury vacation in some lavish villa with yachts and fancy meals; they aren’t being paid to film content. They consciously chose harsher conditions solely to remain together, knowing separation would be unbearable for them. What they share is a bond built to last a lifetime. I feel privileged to exist in the same era as Jikook, and I pity those who either cannot or refuse to recognize their beautiful relationship.

The other day, I came across a discussion about shippers…specifically Taekookers and how, despite years of a serious Taekook drought and an overwhelming amount of Jikook content and interaction, their community has continued to grow. The video being discussed perfectly illustrates how they’ve managed to do that.

If there’s one thing to know about Taekookers, it’s that their ship doesn’t hold up unless they drag Jimin, the company, or literally any third party into the equation. Their narrative simply doesn’t make sense even to themselves, without editing, cropping, and completely stripping videos of their actual context to push a particular story. And this video is a prime example of that tactic.
Let’s take a moment to look at the context of Are You Sure?! and what we’ve heard directly from Jimin, Jungkook, and Taehyung.
We know that AYS came about because Jimin and Jungkook had discussed the idea of traveling together, something they both agreed would be fun. Jimin eventually took the lead in pushing to make it happen. Contrary to what the cult wants to believe, there’s no way he would’ve done that without Jungkook’s full agreement. We know this because staff had been scouting locations in New York months in advance, clearly aligning with Jungkook’s schedule. That alone suggests Jungkook was not only informed but completely on board. On top of that, we saw Jungkook riding his bike in the show…something that would’ve required advance planning and preparation. How would the crew have known he wanted to do that if he didn’t tell them and tell them well in advance so they could get it ready? Even Vogue reported that both Jimin and Jungkook contributed ideas for what they wanted to do during the trip. So yes, Jungkook was aware, involved, and actively participating in the planning and one simple fact which the cult doesn’t want to accept is that Jungkook simply wouldn’t do all this if he Jimin bored him or made him sad.
We also know from Taehyung…who joined the trip midway…that he hadn’t been told about the trip at all. Neither Jimin nor Jungkook informed him about their plans. From the phone conversation between Taekook during the camping scene, it was clear that Taehyung didn’t even know they were filming a show, let alone where they were. According to his own words, he only found out about Jeju through a schedule posted in the group chat.
Now, in the video posted by that Taekooker…which, mind you, has over 2k likes…they’re trying to push the idea that Jungkook was bored or unhappy being with Jimin, and that his mood only improved once Taehyung arrived. But you can clearly see how they’ve cut out major portions of the full footage, cherry-picking moments and stripping them of any context. They’re presenting normal, neutral behavior from Jungkook as evidence of sadness or boredom…all because Taehyung wasn’t there even though we could in seconds look and find tons of moments where Jungkook looked sad or unhappy with Taehyung in the picture.
But let’s humor them for a second. Let’s say Jungkook was unhappy with Jimin and wanted Taehyung there instead. Wouldn’t that mean he would’ve at least tried to inform Taehyung about future trips, or invited him to join in, just to avoid being “stuck” with Jimin again? Wouldn’t he have stopped after the first trip if it was really so unbearable? What doesn’t make sense is Jungkook going on to film in two additional locations, talking about wanting to do this kind of trip until he’s 50, and still not bothering to let the person who supposedly brings him the most happiness know anything about it. Make that make sense.
And let’s not even get into the fact that, while he was still in the U.S. on other schedules, Jungkook was already planning on what he would cook in Jeju with Jimin, talking about “Jimin would Love this” Or the fact that, after returning from his U.S. trip, the person he rushed home to see and cook for wasn’t Taehyung…the person Taekookers claim brings him ultimate joy…but Jimin, the very same person they insist he was “bored out of his mind” with. Again, make it make sense!!
So, to sum it up: Jungkook used his precious free time amid a packed schedule to travel with Jimin, spend time with him before their enlistment and document the experience for fans. He went on to shoot more episodes even though it was initially planned as a one-off and according to him and Jimin, they decided to shoot more because it was fun and they weren’t sure if NY was good enough. He also said, in his own words, that these were the best trips of his life. He never once told Taehyung in advance about any of the trips as far as we know seeing as Taehyung either kept finding out from a group chat or was literally informed about it while filming was already going on. After traveling, Jungkook went back home to Jimin…not Taehyung. And yet, according to this delusional cult, Taehyung is Jungkook’s ultimate source of happiness while Jimin is just an annoying boring ass coworker he can’t stand and can only tolerate when Taehyung is around. Taehyung, the same person whom Jungkook didn’t even think it necessary to inform about the same trips they are referencing in that video?
This is exactly how Taekookers have coped for years..and at this point, it’s like clockwork. The moment they start starving for content or interactions between their ship, they immediately resort to editing videos, stripping away relevant context, and making absurd comparisons. And because Jimin has always been and will likely always be their biggest insecurity, they flock to like those videos as a way to soothe themselves. What they fail to realize is that even if Jungkook were actually dating Taehyung, he wouldn’t need to look miserable around Jimin to prove it.

I would like to know about your take on Jimin and Jungkook's car conversation in AYS. Do you think there was a break up?
First let me answer the second part of your ask. And then I'll talk about their car conversation.
Do I think Jikook had a break up?
NO. NOT AT ALL.
I think you got this idea about a break up cause we didn't get to see Jikook interactions during the Solo Era prior to AYS. Now, them not interacting publicly does not mean they don't interact at all. I'm sure they did meet up and spent time with each other BUT behind closed doors, in the security of their apartments. However that time was NOT ENOUGH for them who used to spent 24×7 together. Together during work hours and later relaxing at home but again together, prior to Solo Era. So, whatever time they had to spent apart was not by their choice but it was forced upon them. They had demanding schedules which kept them apart. And whatever time they spent together we didn't get to know about that cause they didn't feel the need to report it to us. They're not obliged to do that. However I think they were together in Jungkook's apartment from that time when Jimin showed up at the airport with a scratch on his arm which looks like a scratch from a big dog (Jungkook posted a pic of Bam around this time too)

Also, we wouldn't have known about Jikook having a sleepover at Jungkook's house the night before AYS Jeju if Jimin didn't share it with us.
And what about all those times Jungkook started a live every time Jimin boarded a flight from Korea? Did they spent time together before Jimin had to get on those flights? I can take a guess.
And what about the times Jungkook did a Jimin centric live (his smile while watching Jimin in that video 😭 Thats a man in love), teasing Jimin's SMF Pt 2, his reaction to SMF Pt 2, watching only Jimin's Suchwita, vibing and singing along to Angel Pt 1.
Jungkook being excited and lighting up like a Christmas tree whenever Jimin comments in his live. Trying to lure Jimin into doing a live with him using boxing, beer and fried chicken. What about that half naked live and their flirting back and forth making us all third wheels??!!
That's not how a person who went through a break up behaves with their ex.
Now let's talk about Jimin. Jimin writing a Love Ode, "Letter" for Jungkook with Jungkook doing the background vocals. A song which conveys how he's grateful for that one person who held him through his dark times, the person who believed in him when even he didnt believe in his strengths and how he hopes and wishes his forever to be with that person.
And then we have Jimin flying to New York to support Jungkook during his Solo debut. Not only that but he made plans to spent quality time with Jungkook cause he knew Jungkook needed it, he himself needed it, their relationship needed it. All under the veil of a travel show.
They're giving away major hints towards what their relationship is. Many times with their actions and then also with their words.
Now maybe you'll ask me if AYS came about cause they were trying to get back together from their " break up ". My answer is NO. The show was a guise (in my opinion) to spend time with each other. To make memories, to be carefree and simply be with each other. Cause the time they got to spend with each other before AYS was simply not enough for them.
This was why Jungkook said " You're here". Finally". He wanted Jimin to choose him, make time for him and their relationship. Cause he's only human and sometimes needs reassurances especially when more trying times (military service) was coming up.
Also, it was their first time in front of the cameras (there were so many) without the ot7 protection to provide them a cover. So, they were probably thinking what to show, what to say, how much they should say and how much they should show.
So, yeah I don't think there was a break up. Not during the Solo Era and not during the years before that.
Does that mean they never had arguments? Of course not. They surely had. But from what I have seen and heard they resolve it pretty quickly. Their verbal communication is solid. Jimin is good in expressing his feelings and we have seen how Jungkook gets chatty when it comes to Jimin. He speaks freely and openly with Jimin. Their non verbal communication is amazing (eye contact, body language and tone of voice). They're affectionate with each other. Openly show appreciation and give compliments. Should i even talk about how much they love each other??!! There's so much of it. Pure, unconditional love. The roots of their relationship are deeply secure.

All I see is two men who are in a long term relationship giving their all to make the best out of the available circumstances. I see how in love they're and how much they cherish their relationship.

Jimin and Jungkook Debunking Taekook
Chapter Two Solo Era 2023-2025
Are They Ready to Share More About Their Bond, Post Military?
The solo era has been enjoyable, with talented members delivering good, if not great, music. However, it has also been frustrating due to a segment of the so-called fandom that is determined to hate and discredit not only Jimin’s music but also levy personal attacks on both Jimin and Jungkook. This behavior stems from envy, jealousy of their success, and most importantly, the strong bond between Jimin and Jungkook. We have solo fans for Jungkook, Taehyung, Jimin, and the most vocal group of haters, the Taekookers, all contributing to a toxic environment.
But what I find intriguing and cherish the most about the solo era, despite the haters’ rhetoric, is the unbreakable bond between Jimin and Jungkook. I want to share my perspective on what I observe and believe based on the actions of Jimin and Jungkook, as well as the members and other individuals or entities.
EVENTS
I’d like to discuss events that happened over the past two years, in my opinion, that debunk the lore surrounding Taekook.
Weverse Lives
Jungkook had multiple lives in the early months of 2023, where he frequently talked about Jimin. He watched Jimin on Suchwita with Suga, even though he hadn’t watched any other shows or members on the show. Later, he started watching other content that highlighted Jimin. When Jimin entered the chat during many of his lives, Jungkook would light up with excitement.
Jungkook even attended one of Jimin’s dance practices and praised him. During the solo era, Jimin was the only member he publicly supported, except for attending Suga’s first Seoul concert with Taehyung and Jimin. Jungkook performed at the second series of Seoul concerts alongside Jimin and RM, but he didn’t publicly support any other members in 2023.
After Jimin’s music show appearances, he held a few lives. On one live, Jungkook entered the chat and told Jimin “I Am Your fan”. During a series of Lives held by Jungkook on Silver Day, he changed his outfit three times and told Army to watch for something special at midnight. Jungkook also spoiled Jimin’s song “Letter” by playing a few chords from the song where he sang background vocals.
Jungkook’s Half Naked Live with Jimin
I believe we all watched Jungkook’s live stream on July 27, 2023. This live was a few weeks after Jungkook spent time with Jimin in New York City for Jimin’s solo debut on Good Morning America and the filming of the first two episodes of Are You Sure - NY/CT. Jungkook hosted the live while lying in bed, partially naked (or fully, as he playfully peeked at his body under the sheet). Shortly after the live began, Jimin joined him in the chat for a somewhat charged conversation. Jungkook and Jimin engaged in flirting, with Jungkook repeatedly inviting Jimin to join him on the live. However, Jimin declined each time. Army was left stunned and amused by the conversation, while third-wheeling the show.

Are You Sure
Jimin and Jungkook, following Jungkook’s solo debut in New York City in July 2023, embarked on a travel show that showcased their close friendship and possibly more. The duo spent several days exploring New York and Connecticut, indulging in delicious meals and engaging in various activities. Each episode featured affectionate moments between the two, highlighting their unbreakable bond.
However, some fans attempted to dismiss the show as mere fan service, except for the brief interaction between Taehyung and Jungkook during their trip to Jeju Island. Despite this, Taehyung unexpectedly joined the group after seeing the itinerary in the group chat. Jungkook repeatedly reminded Taehyung that he was a guest and unlikely to be invited again. Jimin also clarified with Taehyung, although welcome, he was a guest.
Despite Jikook’s efforts to maintain boundaries, Jimin and Jungkook continued to interact, leading Taehyung to become increasingly disinterested in the trip after the first day of activities. He found himself as the third wheel and even left on the third day to spend the day golfing with his Wooga Squad friends.

Jimin’s Birthday Live
During Jimin’s birthday live performance, he expressed his genuine concern for Jungkook’s well-being, especially during his solo debut. Despite it being Jimin’s special day, he couldn’t help but feel sad and a bit despondent. Jimin’s worry was for someone very close to him, Jungkook.

Flying to Japan Together
On November 23rd, Jimin and Jungkook embarked on a trip to Japan for a music show scheduled for Jungkook. They also had a few private days in Tokyo and Sapporo to film AYS. This was the first time the two members had traveled together since the Busan concert in 2022. Unfortunately, the trip was marred by controversy due to vile hate and death threats. The reason behind the hate was that Jimin and Jungkook were traveling together, and there were rumors that they were enlisting together in the military. Haters even sent emails and tagged the Ministry of Defense, claiming that Hybe was filming gay propaganda. This was a serious attempt to harm their personal lives by involving the military. Despite the overwhelming hate, Jimin and Jungkook arrived at the airport together, proudly walked through the corridor lined with fans, was screened through security while hugging, and boarded their plane.

Stuck on You - "This is Jimin" Contemporary Dance
As part of the anticipation leading up to Jimin’s second album, he released a series of dances in diverse styles. One particularly emotional dance was a contemporary piece set to the song “Stuck on You” by Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber. The dance was released shortly before Jimin and Jungkook’s enlistment in the military. The passion and beauty of the dance beautifully conveyed the emotions expressed in the song’s lyrics. Many fans believe that the lyrics provide a glimpse into the feelings Jimin and Jungkook have for each other.
So lock the door And throw out the key Can't fight this no more It's just you and me And there's nothing I, nothing I, I can do I'm stuck with you, stuck with you, stuck with you
youtube
Military Enlistment
South Korea requires all able-bodied men between the ages of 18 and 28 to serve in the military for at least 18 to 22 months, depending on their branch of service. In December 2024, Namjoon, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook enlisted in the military. Jimin and Jungkook applied to enlist together as part of the military companion program, which allowed them to enlist, attend basic training, deploy to the same base and unit, and serve together for their entire 18-month enlistment. Despite their companion status, many Taekookers persist in spreading false rumors that Jimin and Jungkook don’t serve together. However, both Jimin, Jungkook, and Jin have confirmed that they do serve together. Jimin and Jungkook regularly engage in conversations, sing together while showering, and discuss their plans before going to bed.

Release of MUSE
Jimin’s latest album, Muse, was released on July 19, 2024. The album delves into themes of love, falling in love, and the complexities of romantic relationships. It draws inspiration from BTS’s song “The Truth Untold” and the Smeraldo Flower. Throughout the album, there are numerous LGBTQ+ coded elements, with references to Jungkook both during the promotional period and in the album itself.
One of the most prominent references is a massive billboard featuring Jungkook’s eyes that falls from the sky in the title track’s music video. The title track CD cover and music video incorporate the pride flag colors and rainbow colors throughout the video. Additionally, purple and gold, which are known to be the colors of Jimin and Jungkook’s microphones, boxing gloves, clothing pieces, and other items, play a significant role in the music video.

Jungkook Live - December 18, 2024
Jungkook, still enlisted in the military, surprised the fandom, Korea, and the West with a surprise LIVE broadcast on Weverse on December 18, 2024. He revealed that he came 90% for the Army, leaving the remaining 10% a mystery. I speculate that he made this move in response to the negative sentiment surrounding Jimin and his father, as well as the overall negativity from some Taekookers at the time. Jungkook made it clear that he still served with Jimin at the same base after basic training. They would often get together after work to talk, sing, and even shower together while singing.
🐰 Anyways I’m here because I wanted to see you guys so much. I was thinking of what I should talk about but… about 90% of this is just because I miss you guys 🐰 I’m working hard (serving) with Jimin hyung and we’re doing well 🐰 Jimin hyung and I often talk about songs and hum them. 🐰 We often get a little away from others and we also sing loudly 🐰 Jimin hyung’s songs are so well made to fit his style/voice, they’re so high 🐰 Me and Jimin hyung sang this song so many times! 🐰 We sang it almost every day together while showering and all
Weverse Letters
Jimin and Jungkook have been relatively quiet on social media since their enlistment. Jungkook occasionally posts on Weverse and his dog Bam’s Instagram account. Jimin hasn’t posted on his Instagram in over a year but has written four letters on Weverse and participated in a comment thread with Jungkook on another member’s post. His latest two letters provided an update on his life in the military, discussions he’s had with Jungkook about music and performances they want to release post-military, and their future professional and personal plans.
If I had to think of one thing that's changed, it would be the year, and with that, the conversations I have with Jungkookie before we go to bed. Those have changed a lot.
The day we'll be able to meet all you ARMYs is getting closer, so we're thinking about seeing you again, and about all the things we'll have to get ready before that, or what kind of things to show you in the future and what kind of lives we'll be living, etc. We're talking about a lot of things.
Family Social Media - Jungkook’s Brother, Junghyun
Jungkook’s brother, Junghyun, reactivated one of his old Instagram accounts this month. The account used to feature a lot of photos of both Jungkook and Jimin. Junghyun also posted (via tags) or liked Jikook fan art. However, he has removed most of those posts from the account. He left one photo of Jimin posing with him. The Jikook fan art was the original image on this account.

Conclusion
So, why do I bring up all these events? I return to my opening paragraph of debunking Taekook lore. In my opinion, the events that have transpired over the past two years have easily debunked Taekook shipping rhetoric. I firmly believe that both Jungkook and Jimin share close but distinct relationships with Taehyung. With that in mind, the relationship that Taehyung has with Jimin and Jungkook is characterized by love and affection, but it is purely platonic. Until the members of BTS, along with Bighit, collectively denounce shipping and shippers, the toxicity surrounding the shipping community will persist. However, in light of the recent events, I believe that Jimin and Jungkook subtly attempt to address the negative sentiment through their actions and words, as described above.
As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, I believe Bighit is subtly showcasing Jimin and Jungkook’s relationship. In chapters one and two, Jimin and Jungkook are close friends with an unbreakable bond. Working on solo albums in 2023, both members had extremely busy schedules and were unable to meet daily. Contrary to the claims made by Taekookers, we know that Jimin and Jungkook did see each other throughout the year. They were captured together at Jimin’s dance practice, the recording of the song Letter for the FACE album and Suga’s concerts. They also spent time together filming Are You Sure in New York City, Connecticut, Jeju Island, and Japan. Additionally, they were together to discuss enlistment in the military buddy program and complete the application process. Ultimately, they enlisted in the military together, which serves as a testament to their unwavering bond.
Although the focus of this essay is on the years 2023-2024, we can’t forget the ten+ years that Jimin and Jungkook have publicly shown their bond. We have GCF Tokyo and Saipan, Mama 2018, Rosebowl, Hickeygate and hundreds of other “minor and major moments” where they showcased their bond publicly.
Both Jimin and Jungkook engage in skinship and affectionate behavior on camera. They have both demonstrated support and personal authenticity for the LGBTQ+ community through their music videos, Golden Closet Films, photoshoots, photo folios, and music.
The comments Jimin made in his recent Weverse Letter hinted at a profound and possibly life altering decision he may share: “WHAT KIND OF LIVES WE’LL BE LIVING.” This statement is particularly significant given the speculation that Jimin and Jungkook will reside together in Jungkook’s new house. While I don’t anticipate an official announcement of their relationship status, I believe they will no longer feel the need to conceal their relationship. This new contract offers them the freedom to live their lives as they choose, free from the constraints imposed by the K-pop industry.
Both Jimin and RM have repeatedly mentioned that they will be able to discuss certain matters with Army that they were unable to talk about before enlisting. I believe one of these topics MAY pertain to personal relationships, although it’s not necessarily about the identities of their partners, but rather whether they have been or are currently in relationships.

Jikook Week 52 Complete (03-10/12/2024)
On 12th December 2024, Jikook will have spent one year in the military. In their 52nd week, with two thirds of their service complete, I'm looking back at this week in 2022.

Ch. 2 was getting underway and the key events of this week in 2022 didn't involve jikook at all. RM's Indigo was released on 02/12 and the full focus of the BTS promo machine was on that release that week.

There is so much great promo content from that era, the Tiny Desk concert, the live at Rolling House but I am including RM Live in New York because the aesthetic is amazing and the contrast in vibe between this RM and the RM of RPWP is really striking.
youtube
I feel like Namjoon and Jimin especially, felt the pressure of that first release and were able to relax and enjoy the process much more the second time around.

The second key event was Jin's enlistment which actually occurred on 13/12/22 but which threw a long shadow over the week.
Jimin kept changing his Weverse profile pic always with pictures of Jin and Jin has stayed as his profile pic ever since. He even posted on Weverse on 15/12 wondering how Jin was doing.
youtube
Finally, this week Jimin made a short trip to New York (05/12 - 10/12) and speculation was rife about what he was up to there. On 09/12 he even posted cryptically on Weverse.

Given the colour of his hair at the time it seems likely he was there to film these ads for Tiffany&Co.

Jungkook was keeping an even lower profile this week although he did win the People's Choice Award for Best Collab of 2022 with Left and Right and Dreamers was still doing well on the charts after his appearance at the World Cup opening show.

Now that I’ve had a chance to come back down to earth after I ascended over the Are You Sure!? trailer, I have to comment on the reactions out there. Most sane people see it for what it is. A chance for Jikook to have some fun together before entering the service. I believe that they REALLY wanted to do this, but knew that they needed a “reason”, so they resurrected the idea of filming a (Jikook) travel show. Very last minute and unplanned, as they say multiple times. During the filming of these different trips, at least the Jeju and New York/Connecticut ones, they didn’t know that they were going to be allowed to enlist together. To me, this makes it all a little more poignant because they must have been desperately trying to soak up these moments in order to sustain themselves for what was most likely going to be a long separation. Regardless, they clearly had a blast and the chaotic nature of their time together is so on brand for them. I. Can’t. Wait.
Now the crazy people. The crazy people are already twisting themselves into knots so badly they are going to need a chiropractor on retainer. They are bro-i-fying this trip so hard. Like it’s their job. Or they are trying to say Jungkook was forced to do the show (total and utter bullsh*t, I mean LOOK at him). Or. OR they are trying to turn Jimin into Tae at every turn. On the motorcycle, under the umbrella, etc. <insert eye-roll here>. They are desperately clinging to the idea that the Jeju trip was a full VminKook trip because we have pics of them together at one point. Any maybe they are right. But that doesn’t change the overall purpose of these trips and that’s for Jimin and Jungkook to have a fun time together before enlistment. They say this in the trailer for God’s sake, so there is no question.
And listen. The bro angle? That’s gonna happen. We all know it. I’m betting those editors had to work HARD to maintain that bro aspect. Did anybody REALLY think we were going to have anything OVERTLY sexual or couple-like here? Seriously? Jimin and Jungkook have spent their entire relationship in front of the cameras. They know how to do this by now. But. But. But. With Jikook, it’s always what simmers beneath their “innocent” interactions that really tells the tale. How many times have you seen two people together who weren’t holding hands or kissing or anything overly couple-like but you just KNEW they were a couple by their aura or vibe? Jikook gives off those vibes all day long. Period. We all see it. Hell, even antis and TKKrs see it, they just don’t want to.
Anyway! This Are You Sure!? ride is going to be amazing and I’m here for it. For every single smile and giggle and handshake (hand holding, we know) and goofy flirting moment, I’ll be fan-girling like crazy.

Off My Chest
Rant about Hybe under the cut. I give you my word I will try to post a majority of positive content, because the world (and my mental health) doesn't need more negativity, but sometimes you just gotta vent.
Folks, if you've known me for a hot second, you've realized I am a Jimin-biased Jikooker... but I am OT7, and I sincerely love and support BTS.
I believe Jimin is a grown man who can advocate for himself and I believe Jungkook absolutely supports and adores him, whatever their relationship status is.
I always try to accentuate the positive and avoid online drama and negativity as much as possible, but I need to get this off my chest.
I will never be gas-lit into believing that the way Jimin was treated in solo era was fair, or equitable, or even made any kind of business-sense. I've genuinely tried to entertain other people's points of view and listen to people who claim to have industry expertise, but...
I will never forget his mail being tampered with four times, his leaked insurance information, denial of more music videos, overlapped solo release, only 9 days of promotion, split title tracks, no radio or play-listing, no bio for his Spotify for months, no restock of his single CD for months, hundreds of thousands of frozen and deleted sales, millions of culled streams, shady articles in WeVerse and Billboard, insulting dialogue in In the Seom, failure to submit to RIAA certification for months, only a paywall documentary on WeVerse, zero official acknowledgement of his Hot 100 #1, 1 billion streams on Spotify, or wins for The Fact, MAMA, and two Webbys, plus broken in-ears, anemic little balloons and a sad background tarp as decorations for his fan events… and the company telling him how doing more would just be impossible.
I compare all that to the push that other members and other groups got, and I know it just isn't true. It wasn't impossible.
Hell, Jeon Jungkook put in more effort to promote Jimin’s work and showed more respect for Jimin as an artist during his at-home lives than that whole company did, which honestly makes no sense from a profit standpoint.
I will never forget it, and I will not entertain arguments that say I’m a solo or an anti or jealous about it. I have eyes.
I am not out to shade any other members nor put forth any conspiracy theories. I simply want all our boys to get everything they justly deserve.
And yes, other members have suffered mishaps and neglect, but nothing of this scale, this consistently. It baffles me, I cannot understand it, and I'm done trying. Something strange was going on behind the scenes and we may never be privy to the details.
In trying to put this awful feeling behind me, I will say I am elated that Jikook are serving together and can support each other. I am glad there will be a Jikook travel show. I'm continually impressed with all of Jimin's success (in the military and professionally) despite all odds. I will always love and support all of BTS with my full heart.
And I sincerely hope the company has been taking notes and course-corrects for PJM2, even if it rubs some higher ups the wrong way if they had a different vision. Considering Jimin’s unique talents and his amazing star power—even his ability to bring Paris and New York to a screaming standstill just for the opportunity to see him exit a car—I would hope the company will “do their best to promote all labels and artists without discrimination” going forward.
But what happened truly sucked, and I needed to get that off my chest. I am not interested in further discussion or debate. I am now going to do my best to shift my focus and energy on to the things I want to manifest, instead of the things that enrage me.
So let me end on a positive and hopeful note: I put all my trust in Jimin, who signed a new contract with Hybe and who unfailingly adores all his members. There can be no love without trust. I will always do my best to trust BTS.

But I'm watching carefully. For Jimin and all our boys.
Love, Roo

ARE YOU SURE?!: SIXTH EPISODE
MY IMPRESSIONS
Preface: This is not an analysis post, and honestly, I don’t want to overanalyse their interactions or everything they said and did—many others are already doing that. My intention with this post is simply to share my thoughts on the episodes, my impressions, and perhaps my conclusions.
I’m writing this as I watch the episodes for the second time.
Oh no, just from the intro, we can already tell we won’t survive Sapporo. I mean, that alone screams COMFORT.
So, no clips or mention of the time they spent in Tokyo? I wonder if we’ll see that in Jungkook’s documentary? Will Jimin be there too? Not just in Tokyo, but in New York as well. Oh, will we see Jimin celebrating with Jungkook when he released his single "3D"? That happened while they were in New York, right?
It seems unreal that we’re going to get so much content of blonde Jimin and black-haired Jungkook together.
How do you subconsciously say something? Hahaha, when did they say that? I wonder if the original plan was for the show to end in Jeju. The fact that there’s no clip of them deciding to go to Japan before actually going, like what happened when they decided to go to Jeju, makes me think that the trip wasn’t part of the initial plan. I wonder if, when it was confirmed Jungkook was going to Japan for work, they said something like, "Oh, I’d love to go to Japan one last time" or something similar, and the agency didn’t think it was a bad idea.
God, Jungkook mentioning their trip to Tokyo and then saying THAT'S WHY he wanted to go back… my heart! Plus, the tone in which he said it, while massaging Jimin’s neck and looking at him, not the camera… How do people expect us not to be… hopeful?
I don’t know if this is weird, but to me, Jungkook looks great with a mask and a big hoodie. It reminds me a lot of the picture I have as my profile picture. That’s one of my favourite photos of him.
Jimin reminding Jungkook to walk slowly (because Jimin walks slowly) is adorable. Did you notice how Jimin was holding Jungkook’s hand while it was inside his hoodie?
Okay. Them in the car. The angle. The closeness. Jungkook’s expressions. They DO NOT HELP CALM MY IMAGINATION. Also, I don’t understand their seating arrangements. Jungkook looked HOT in that clip. Bro, the car was spacious. Why did they decide to film the clip like that? Oh, Jikook.
Jungkook loves getting the camera up close to Jimin’s face. I guess he loves his eyes. God, saying he can see a lot when Jimin asked if he could see anything… JUNGKOOK!
It’s no longer "Ppeuri" but "standing next to you". I guess this is my tinhat moment of the post. Do these songs, especially the words or parts of Jungkook’s songs, have double meanings for them? Because the way they said them and the way they looked at each other while doing so tells me yes, but I don’t know if it’s just what I want to believe or…
Jimin and Jungkook sitting in their hotel room, deciding what to do or eat, is everything right with the world. I LOVE these moments in the show. I appreciate that the editors decided to include more of this. They should’ve done the same when they were in the US.
Ahh, Jungkook’s best ship will always be him and food hahaha.
Sharing sausage is fine, and even beer – though Jimin didn’t end up drinking any because Jungkook had already drunk it all – but Jungkook crosses the line by eating the potato skin just because Jimin touched it with his fingers. Okay, Jeon Jungkook.
Jungkook, what video did you watch? When did you watch it? Didn’t Jimin film the video he was talking about the day before the trip?
Jimin forgetting about the camera and, with it, the fact they were filming a show told me he was comfortable enough on the trip not to see it as "work".
They don’t know the concept of personal space, do they?
Them making jokes or comments about when they’d be in the military is both funny and sad. Why did they make them do that? They should be on stage, not on the border with the crazies from the north!
They love snow.
When the clip of Jungkook falling came out in the show’s trailers, I thought he was imitating Jimin’s part from "Spring Day", but it turns out he actually fell hahaha.
Jungkook being sure that Jimin would love the gimbap triangle he chose… he knows him well!
Again with the "standing next to you", and this time Jimin said part of it, paused, and Jungkook continued. That means something more between them. Either that, or I’m going crazy hahaha.
Jimin and Jungkook bickering over the most mundane, often domestic things is everything.
Fluffy Jimin and Jungkook!
I’m confused. Was Jungkook talking about the restaurant they went to in Tokyo in 2017? But then Jungkook said he went there that day, and Jimin said he’d gone a few days before. So, they were saying that they went back to the restaurant recently, right?
Ahhh, so Taemin recommended that restaurant to Jimin, and that’s why Jimin and Jungkook went there when they travelled to Tokyo in 2017. Each of them remembering things from the trip the other didn’t is what I call teamwork, or I guess it’s team memory hahaha.
It’s too sweet seeing the hyung line, especially, almost in denial of the fact that Jungkook is all grown up, that he’s an incredible person and an amazing artist. They’re all proud of their maknae.
I really appreciate how Jungkook never makes Jimin feel bad for wanting to eat more or anything like that. On the contrary, he’s always cared about Jimin eating well and eating enough.
Jungkook calling each destination a season - no pun intended - is hilarious. Jungkook, I need more seasons, please!
Jungkook with a headband is too cute.
Jimin and Jungkook love the snow. And Sapporo. Also, they’re great ambassadors for CD and CK, hahaha.
We’ve all been Jungkook, scolding ourselves for eating and drinking too much. I’m like Jungkook almost every day, hahaha.
Jungkook saying he’ll remember those moments from the trip, aka being with Jimin when he’s in the army… with Jimin, that’s everything. Jimin’s comedic timing is everything.
Jungkook predicting Jimin’s intentions… again, hahaha, they know each other so well. Oh, and Jungkook taking a few minutes to choose which glasses to wear because, according to him, none looked good on him. Then Jimin just picks the first pair Jungkook chose, and they look great on him – that’s comedy gold. The way he looked at him, like “Really?” Hahaha.
Jungkook loves the snow. The cold. The winter.
They seriously don’t know the concept of personal space. Also, their bickering is always super funny.
By the way, Jungkook’s bag or pouch or whatever it was – it’s so cute!
Jungkook made Jimin do the sign of the cross over his food with the camera? I mean, I guess that’s some kind of ritual? Hahaha.
I don’t care how this sounds: Every time Jimin talks down about his looks or his body, I just want to slap him a couple of times to make him understand that he’s beautiful, handsome, lovely, incredible. Gorgeous inside and out.
Jungkook’s mission was to make special memories to remember during his military service. And it’s sweet that those memories were made with Jimin so they can reminisce about them together while they serve because they enlisted together. Will they talk about that?
It makes as much sense as Jungkook not wanting to eat the potato skin because Jimin touched it with his fingers but was totally fine with those same fingers in his mouth. That logic is slightly illogical, but I guess it makes sense to him.
Jungkook loves Sapporo.
Joking about their military service was their way of coping, hahaha. It’s not funny, but I’m laughing.
Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if they ended up living in Japan, hahaha. They really do have a special connection with certain cities in that country.
Was it really that hard for the editors to give us more of this in the USA? Like, I want to see the everyday Jimin and Jungkook. Not in a rush, just enjoying everything. Being happy simply by… being. That said, it’s hilarious seeing Jimin and Jungkook acting “normal” in Sapporo, with security and their managers behind them, hahaha.
Wait, so Jimin saw the same video as Jungkook where someone was talking about how to talk to cats or something like that? Do they share accounts, and send each other funny videos all the time, or are they really just that similar? Which is it?
The editing the team did to avoid showing the inside of the train station and the train is hilarious, hahaha.
I love how Jungkook will always be gentle with Jimin.
Jimin covering his right ear because he was wearing one of Jungkook’s AirPods, even though he’s a Samsung ambassador, is so funny. And it was even more obvious – and therefore funnier – when Jungkook said they were listening to a Japanese song and he was only using one AirPod, hahaha.
Again, do they have the same 'For You' pages on every video platform, or do they constantly send each other links, or are they really that similar that they watch the same content? Because Jimin always gets the meme or joke references Jungkook makes. And he always plays along. And vice versa.
Jimin deserves an award for not showing that AirPod, hahaha. My question is, wouldn’t it have been easier to just use Samsung headphones or something?
JUNGKOOK RESTING HIS HEAD ON JIMIN’S SHOULDER IS TOO CUTE. ONE OF THE SOFTEST, SWEETEST, SHYEST, AND MOST PERSONAL MOMENTS BETWEEN JIMIN AND JUNGKOOK.
Sapporo, you will always be special.
Jimin and Jungkook don’t know the concept of personal space.
Awww, Jimin talking about having a daughter. I’ve no doubt he’d be a great dad.
Jungkook telling Jimin he didn’t want him to drive without actually saying he didn’t want him to drive is peak Jungkook when it comes to Jimin.
It’s been a while since I’ve seen Jungkook do that hand gesture he and Jimin use when they’re telling themselves to focus on something, hahaha.
Jimin really loves the song 'Hate You'. I remember how, during Jungkook’s concert, he said in the comments that it was his favourite song.
That’s right, Jungkook! Screw society’s standards. It’s a shame we couldn’t hear 'Christmas Day'. As compensation, they should give us another song together.
Okay, but being a bit serious, them walking in that place under the snow, with their coordinated outfits, huge smiles, and constant giggles, it almost looked idyllic. Romantic. Sometimes it’s not our imagination – it’s them giving our imagination material, hahaha.
Them going to a… museum? I think it’s a museum or something like that, about whisky, it's so… hahaha. Yoongi would be proud. They’re so funny, so chaotic, and so quirky. And the most impressive thing is how well they match. Also, they really like role-playing. Like, it’s one of their things.
Nooo, they forgot to pay! They probably thought the staff would handle it, hahaha. Jungkook giving the card to Jimin is so relatable – I’d do the same out of embarrassment. Jungkook having to pay in cash at the end is hilarious. Seriously, they’re funny without even trying. My question is, was that their personal card or the company’s? Hahaha.
Jimin and Jungkook don’t know the concept of personal space.
Jimin and Jungkook seriously love the snow. Like, really, really love it. They just click, you know?
When the clip of them playing in the snow came out in one of the trailers, I remember someone on Twitter saying they’d bet that after Jungkook threw the snow block at Jimin and dusted off his hands, he went straight over to help Jimin brush the snow off himself – and damn, they were right. And I don’t know if that means we know their dynamic that well, or if Jungkook’s just that predictable when it comes to Jimin... although, isn’t that basically the same thing?
Honestly, it’s impressive how they instantly get references from memes or viral videos the other made because, how on earth did they even find that video of... Ken? Saying "good" every two seconds? Seriously, how? Did Jimin send it to Jungkook or did Jungkook send it to Jimin? Because I refuse to believe they’re that similar, to the point their 'For You' pages or video recommendations are practically the same.
Jungkook, you didn’t eat the potato skin because Jimin touched it, but you’ll... never mind.
The fact that they pointed out they think the same way is funny to us as fans, because it’s like, wow, Jimin and Jungkook just said that if you put your hand in a glass of water, it’ll get wet, hahaha.
It’s hilarious that Jungkook wondered what it would be like if they were the same age. I suppose he was talking from a cultural POV and it's funny because their dynamic doesn’t really fit that context, and that’s one of the main things that sets them apart from the other members or their dynamics with them. Jungkook often comes across as Jimin’s hyung, and Jimin’s fine with it – which is crazy when you remember that’s something Jimin really respects. Jungkook often drops the honorifics with Jimin or speaks informally to him, and it feels natural like they do it all the time. So, him saying that is funny because their relationship would probably be exactly the same as it is now, except Jungkook would never call Jimin hyung.
Jungkook, YOU TWO ARE ALREADY EACH OTHER's COPY!
Jungkook, I need you to keep your promise and tell us the real story about that fight between Jimin and Tae, hahaha.
Hearing them talk about their future plans, touring again, and all seven being together is beautiful. I can’t wait for 2025. Damn, I need money.
MY CONCLUSIONS ON THE SIXTH EPISODE
I loved this episode. Like I said in another post, it’s my second favourite episode of the show so far.
Here, we returned to that normality in their dynamic and the show, that we saw in the first two episodes. We went back to the calm, the tranquillity of their trip. I loved that the editors decided to show more of Jimin and Jungkook’s day just… being. Discovering or exploring their surroundings.
I loved that domesticity that many of us were craving to see again.
Sapporo feels different. More intimate, more… melancholic. I suppose it’s because of the moment they were in, in their lives, and what would happen a few weeks after that trip. That said, I also think it’s because of Jimin and Jungkook. Here, we didn’t see that little awkwardness we saw in the first episode. Here, they weren’t adjusting to anything. They weren’t reconnecting, so to speak. They were just them from the start. Literally, from the beginning of the episode, I loved that. I loved seeing them happy and more in sync than ever in this show, honestly – and that says a lot when we’re talking about Jimin and Jungkook.
Something I love about AYS is that it gave Jimin and Jungkook the chance to be “normal”, and to do ordinary things like go to a supermarket or ride a train. And yes, I know they do that kind of thing in Korea, especially the two of them, but maybe not with as much freedom. And yes, I know they had a security team with them, but I hope you get what I mean.
Something I’ve really appreciated seeing is how much Jimin and Jungkook validate each other’s wants. And I don’t mean anything dramatic or anything like that, but the little things like Jungkook wanting to eat more and Jimin saying it doesn’t matter, go ahead, or asking if they should order more food or saying he should get his beer like it’s no big deal. Jungkook telling Jimin it was fine if he wanted another gimbap triangle, etc. They validate and encourage each other to do things they’re hesitant about, whether it’s buying something or eating something – they don’t mock or criticise the other for it. That’s so sweet and important to see in any relationship. Validation and words of affirmation. These are two fundamental things in any kind of relationship, no matter what type. And not just that, I love how throughout the whole show they made sure the other was happy, asking if they liked what they were doing or what they did. The subtle way they care for each other, not just from a material or physical standpoint but also emotionally, is so beautiful to watch.
I loved Sapporo. I loved Jimin and Jungkook in Sapporo, and it makes me sad to think that the show is coming to an end, but I’m treasuring every smile, every moment, every laugh. I’m going to cherish the fact that they shared all those moments with us.
I can imagine many people are happy with this episode because it gave us the same feeling that the first two episodes did. And I don’t blame them. I still think the Jeju episodes were good because they highlighted the difference in the dynamic between Jimin and Jungkook compared to how they interact with other members but Sapporo will always be special. I can’t wait to see the next episode.
Jimin and Jungkook could totally pull off the funniest thing in the world at the end of AYS by releasing a song together. Actually, why just one song? An EP would be amazing!
If you’ve made it this far, I’m sorry and thank you—I just couldn’t stop writing ajajajajaa.

Hi! Nobody is going to read this probably lol as I’m new in this app (not in Jikook world though). But I just wanted to point out a little detail that not a lot of people is talking about regarding the watch thing.

When we talk about theories I like to try to be the more impartial and clinic possible. I don’t like to get carried by my own desires to see any Jikook manifestation in their little acts because sometimes there’s nothing there, just us missing them and their bond deeply. But sometimes too, there’s some things that you can not explain at all. And this is one of this cases.
When I saw this morning people talking about the watch thing the first thing I thought was “please, don’t be like those shippers outside that are desperate to prove anything, we don’t need that”, but then I stopped and read carefully and objectively the facts that people where putting on the table. And I must say that, after thinking logically at it, it doesn’t make sense that Jimin had his watch with a completely different time zone in his live, a different time that coincidently it’s Junkook’s birth time. On his birthday. Suspicious.
Specially if the obvious justification is automatically discarded. “He must have wear that watch when he traveled to another time zone and did not set the time correctly when he came back”. Yeah, sure, that was my first thought, but then I realized. When you change your time zone you change hours, not minutes. You add or rest hours depending on which country you are traveling, like from Korea to US, that you have to change like 12 hours on the clock, but the minutes stays the same. So how can we explain that when Jimin started the live in Korea was 20.54 but his watch said 15.23??? As I said, it doesn’t make sense, because if it was because of a time zone then it should be 8.54, not 15.23 (and I say 8.54 because is the time that his watch should read in case he has the time zone of NY, -12h).
You can see in the following picture the time zones of my place of reference (European time zone), you add hours in the case of Seoul, or rest hours in the case of New York, but the minutes still the same.

What other theory could it be? The watch doesn’t work properly? It didn’t seam so as it worked perfectly in the live. The watch battery stopped working, he changed it and forgot to change the time? Could be, but isn’t the normal thing to automatically correct the time once you get your watch to work properly again?? I don’t know, call me crazy but Jimin is a person that gives a lot of attention on the details, specially when we are talking about his appearance and complements such as rings, earrings, watches… I would find it really strange that he didn’t have everything on point.
So… the other explanation is that it was on purpose, just a little detail for the ones who know to what you should pay attention to. Jimin and Jungkook have used numerology before. We have seen it in their t-shirt’s, in festa things and interviews, in mentions in their concerts, in tweets posted at specific hours… It’s nothing new, if you follow Jikook closely you must know it.

Another thing that we should take into account is that Jimin didn’t wear the watch in the Dior event. He put it specifically to do the live at home. He told us that after it he was going to wash up, remove his make up and rest, so we suppose he wasn’t going to go anywhere. Why would you put your watch to stay at home, alone, just to do a live? The only logical answer is that he wanted us to see it, otherwise nobody arrives at home changes clothes and decides to put your expensive watch again just to sit on a chair an spend some time on the internet with army.

Is it really unbelievable that Jimin made a little reference to Jungkook’s birth on his birthday? Is it really unbelievable when he just came to Weverse on live just to show us his mood lamp and tell us to wish him a happy birthday? Honestly my friends, they had made more bold and incredible things and still here we are. It wouldn’t be the first nor the last time they do something mind blowing to let us know that something is going on with them, so even if this is just coincidence or it was totally on purpose I must say that I’m here for all of it.
