I realized last night that my 10ft paracord hanks I got to test out whether I could do the fun braids are absolutely not enough to even finish the 10 inches of martingale main collar I wanted to do, so I'm sullenly ordering 100ft hanks in the relevant colors to work with and debating what I want to practice in the meantime. Might work on the herringbone braid I want to use for the leash, or I might work on another pattern to learn. This stuff is fun and really meditative once you get the hang of the braid! More muttering to myself under the cut.

I do wish that 20in jigs were less of a pain in the ass to find--13" seems to be where most of them top out, which I feel is a bit limiting unless I resign myself to going to find some biothane adapters. Maybe I want a collar, not a bracelet, jigmakers! Did you ever think of that?!

I suppose I could still do a full size collar if I choose to integrate an O-ring like the dogs' tag collars, come to think of it. Will have to consider that as I'm plotting. I absolutely hate plastic buckles on my dogs for idiosyncratic reasons, so I'm foreseeing a lot of limited slip and martingale designs in my future. Maybe some of the more interesting "tactical buckles" or seat belt style buckles, which are my usual preference anyway.

None of my dogs have necks bigger than 16", which helps. I have all the O rings and D rings I could want to play with.

#Repost @grundywoodworks ・・・ I am absolutely loving this new straight edge cutting table saw jig that we made with our new @microjig dovetail clamps. It took a couple hours to route out a sheet of ply to make a couple different sizes for sleds but this little jig with these clamps are a game changer for us for our old barnwood and live edge glue ups!
