I need to know more about Bruce’s jealousyyyyyy😝 it keeps me up at night, like, knowing what’s he’s conjuring in his head

Ooh I'll tell you! It mainly comes from the fact that widow doesn't hardly talk to him anymore, remember them literally walking into town without telling anyone anything? Bruce heard Barnes and immediately thought of that morning, the bruised knuckles and odd expression on widows face, the fact they avoided his eye the whole way home, he wonders just a little bit if there's more to that now.

"..... Bruce?" Tim pauses midstep, noting the way Bruce's slumped into the bat computer chair like he's fused with it, he can smell the coffee pot burning nearby and he's certain Bruce's mug is stained a few shades darker than it was last night.

Bruce grunts, then seems to realize there's another living person there a moment later as he suddenly looks over his shoulder at Tim, hair messy from fooling with it too much. "Hmm.... Tim?"

Tim's busy staring at the bat computer monitors in confusion, brows furrowed tightly as he watches random men's profiles cross the screen at a rapid rate.

".... Uhh, whatcha looking at there, dad?"

Bruce again grunted and quickly spun the chair around to face-about the screens. ".... Just some.... Personal research."

He resumes typing, the keyboard clacking loudly under his aggressive fingers as Tim steps closer. Staring at the screen with growing confusion.

"... You're looking for someone named Barnes?" That seems to be the only thing these people have in common, they all have Gotham or Jersey addresses and all have Barnes somewhere in their name, other than that Tim sees no correlations here.

"hmm... Just.... Looking for someone." Bruce stubbornly keeps his eyes on the monitors, refusing to so much as side eye Tim when he knows what the kid must be thinking. No he'd much rather figure this out on his own than to ever involve the kids in-

"he's been exhibiting jealous body language all night."

A voice pipes up, startling both men.

Cass strolls out of the shadows where she was apparently watching them for who knows how long, her eyes locked on Bruce's tense form.

"I am not. This is just....a pet project."

"what's the cause?" Cass steps close enough to lean against the desk, arms crossed over her chest as she steadily stares down Bruce, waiting for him to crack or give something away.

Tim sidles closer as well, invested in watching Bruce's daughter browbeat him into submission.

Bruce just sighs loudly, looking back at the screen with a stubborn scowl on his face. ".... I'm just making sure (name) is safe."

Tim clicks his tongue behind his teeth while Cass looks at the screen silently, that's..... They're a bit old for this, right?

Cass hums thoughtfully before opening her mouth to speak. "is this because you two aren't hav-"

"Cass. please don't." Tim scowls in disgust at the barest implication, shuddering in horror before turning away to go steal some of Bruce's nasty burnt coffee and dumping a large amount of sugar into it to try to salvage any taste.

Bruce coughs awkwardly and turns away, why are they talking about that of all things!? "That's not appropriate, and further more it's not relevant.... I'm looking for someone that might have been punching them, not.... Let's just drop it, okay?"

Both kids nod, as much fun as it is to torment Bruce with adult topics, they both (mainly Tim) would rather spare their imaginations of that thought.
