Ok so I just finished watching the AOT finale dub and 2 things.

Everyone put their entire voiceactussy into this finale holy fucking shit. I know people hate dub idc I grew up with it, when I think Attack on Titan and their characters I mostly think of the dub. Jessie James Greele as Armin and Mat Mercer as Levi especially were standout oh my lord.

At the end when the boy and his dog find the giant tree Eren is buried under, the shot starts at the top of the tree and pans down. You can see as it does so there is a giant flock of BIRDS swarming it. Im gonna cry

I got another surprise today when I learned that Jessie James Grelle - formerly Josh Grelle - came out as transgender in 2023 and now also uses she/her pronouns. I'm so proud of them!

When I got into anime, I grew to love a lot of voice actors who mainly do dubbed anime. Last year, I found out one of my favorites is a transgender non-binary woman (given I already knew they were non-binary), and I was surprised yet happy for them. A month after I found out, I got to meet her at a con, and they were both sweet and quite funny too.

I figured they would drastically change her appearance since I met them, but I haven't seen any pictures of her/what she looked like since that day. Jump to over a year later, and a friend (who was also the one who shared with me the news that their feminine transition) sent me a video of her at a panel at a different con. She was incredibly beautiful, and it honestly makes me so, so happy to see them be the person they/she was always meant to be. And the people who aren't willing to accept this about her are not real fans of them.

This person I'm talking about here is the lovely and incredibly talented Jessie James Grelle. Their credits include My Hero Academia, Attack on Titan, Princess Jellyfish, The Devil is a Part-Timer, Snow White with the Red Hair, The Quintessential Quintuplets... The list goes on.

In short, Mrs. O'Shriek is very much me when it comes to Jessie and their transition to becoming a trans non-binary woman. ❤️
