Note
do you have a goodreads or a list of the books you've read this year? ^___^
you are very generous to think my scattered mind would be anywhere near organized enough to keep track of things like this 😂💛 I'm happy to make you a list, though! (disclaimer that I read purely for the fun of it these days so a lot of these fall into a similar genre category...you'll know why. no shame. additionally, some of them should include trigger warnings, so please take care of yourself and look that up if you need to!)
Chain of Iron - Cassandra Clare (second in a series and very interconnected to all of her other TSC novels)
The Guest List - Lucy Foley (I completely forgot I read this...you're better off just reading Agatha Christie's iconic And Then There Were None)
Opium and Absinthe - Lydia Kang (this ended up being loosely connected to a book of hers I read last year, A Beautiful Poison, though they're both stand-alones)
The Sundown Motel - Simone St. James
Home Before Dark - Riley Sager
Final Girls - Riley Sager
Down Comes the Night - Allison Saft
The Mary Shelley Club - Goldy Moldavsky
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo - Taylor Jenkins Reid
The Last Letter from Your Lover - Jojo Moyes (I read this so I could watch the movie. which I still have not seen)
Ruby Holloway Reads After Dark - Abe Moss (trying to not give commentary here because I don't want this post to be too long, and because tastes are individual! but I would not recommend this book to anyone lol)
The Final Girl Support Group - Grady Hendrix
The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires - Grady Hendrix
Our Last Echoes - Kate Alice Marshall
Stalking Jack the Ripper, Hunting Prince Dracula, Escaping from Houdini, Capturing the Devil (a quartet series, so they're easier to list together!) - Kerri Maniscalco
The Girls Are Never Gone - Sarah Glenn Marsh
Dark and Shallow Lies - Ginny Myers Sain
The Dead and the Dark - Courtney Gould
Lycanthropy and Other Chronic Illnesses - Kristin O'Neal
now I'm only trying to decide on the next one
