#jer is also vaguely worried that he should be doing more to help the other worlds- he has a great affinity for magic n whatnot but like.

THINKING ABOUT.
Universe contamination. WAIT before anybody says Oh doc’s gone off the deep end This is an oc project.
Kind of started as an explanation for why when my friends and I did crossovers it went off the rails? Also because of how my writing changed over time, ha. (of course you know you can’t have an adventure story without something going wrong but still.) Whenever somebody visits Jer, peoples around them are more… aggressive? Heightened emotions? (shoutout to Finch)
And on the other hand when Jer visits other people they’re able to calm down any situations very well, and just bring positive vibes! But it’s very exhausting for Some Reason.
I’m not sure how jer got the idea, probably a slow realization/looking back or maybe confirmation bias and none of it is real! Haha!
Contamination is a Major worry Jer has! They’re paranoid that outsiders staying too long and butterfly-effecting things/causing trouble could permanently ruin the timeline. (I think that’s what triggered him into uh shutting down his portal the first time) (and hearing about what JJ did was very worrying also-)
Lost my train of thought so I’m talking about another related idea. You know how in movies when a character is worried that Something TM is nearby but the other characters tell them not to worry because it’s not real? Irl we don’t have to worry and you can reassure yourself because Science, but in the movie they’re right to worry because the creature can be seen and really does exist. Jer knows the ‘creature’ exists, therefore that Threat is always there and nothing others say will fully reassure him, and he’s right to think that. Uh my thoughts. Losing my train of thought. [insert that meme of me by a conspiracy board]
(Orrrrr contamination isn’t actually because of universe magic but becauseeee of the way the worlds are slightly different and the way visitors act and talk are recieved differently? And when people are getting to know each other, first impressions do a lot? And what JJ did was an isolated incident that had a lot of warning signs beforehand? So he doesn’t have to worry? But too late, the idea’s in his head now.)
… uh oh, Jer’s trying to run an experiment by giving his friends ‘good luck charms’ and seeing if objects from their world could affect another’s if kept for a long time. Jer no!! Chill out!!
——
On a fun note though, I’m giving jer night vision. wahoooo :D I might make a cool drawing for it laterrr
And thinking on Rev- I think yeah, folks in Jer’s world think he’s some kind of creature or… maybe a film star? That’d explain why he’s most often at the studio and acting dramatic HAHA- but in all seriousness I think movies there would lean on the more action filled/ more violent side (and on the contamination thing- once people got to know Rev they mellowed out so. Jer, calm down. Jer of course people are going to act oddly your various friends from ‘out of town’ have fangs, claws, unusual eyes, and demon horns) (shoutout to Caedem)
(but. But. Potentially if some dangerous ideas were introduced to Jer’s city you can’t just… take them back- like Pandora’s box. If Something made people start acting more selfish and cruel it Could contaminate the supernatural good fortune of the city. Haha what who said that? I love ideas that could go either way, that’s my jam. Who knows. (But I wouldn’t do that to them because Id have to write something complicated And it would be very sad. But the worry is real to Jer.)
Related- thinking onnnn Jer’s rat! Randy’s doing a very good job keeping them calm- annnnd explaining out loud what you’re thinking (even to a pet!) can help you realize how over-worried you are. They’re having a Mental Health Moment but are holding it together on the outside so [thumbs up]
#unrelated but. over new years I was chilling with some other people and… I dunno somebody commented on how weird my voice is.#I guess it never sunk in tIll recently. AND I don’t talk a lot to begin with so uh it doesn’t often show.#feckinggg if I wasn’t scared of doctors I’d check for. something. hrrghfdsvfbfn… ok back to oc thoughts#time to project it onto jer because I can#I kinda know what’s up though I’m probably in denial though. haha.#aH yeah some of the ocs idea here is from how twitchy I was about my characters getting hurt LMAO I was such a control freak. sorry friends#HA so forgetful it feels like I’m analyzing and making headcanons for somebody else’s story. oh boy.#unrelated I really need to think about my characters pronouns more. maybe it’s because of how similar jer and I am that I’ve given him some#to me? I just need to work through it I think [slaps desk]#jer is also vaguely worried that he should be doing more to help the other worlds- he has a great affinity for magic n whatnot but like.#it’ll probably be fine they can handle themselves yeah? but the thought is always there#no I’m not giving jer my horrible paranoia (JUSTIFIED PARANOIA UNFORTUNATELY) and moral ocd what do you mean. (/joke)#unrelated I really want to talk about the horrible misunderstanding between jer and pavel because of Universe Differences but I’ll do that#when I’m more awake

Eternal Flame- Kol Mikaelson 8/?
If You Can't Rely on One Another Who Can You
Summary: 'You never know whats in a persons heart until you truly know them' - Belle French, Once Upon a Time
Singing. Thats all what Alexandra Gilbert has cared about since she was young and all she would care about until she met him.
With Alexandra fighting vampires, werewolves and all between she may do a thing she vowed never to do, fall in love.
And to think it all started with a walk in the woods...
Grams"
Bonnie was in tears and rightfully so. She hasn't seen her grandmother for a year now due to her unfortunate passing unintentionally caused by the Salvatores, learning the real reason of how Grams died from Bonnie was even more heart wrenching and how much sympathy I felt for one of my good friends.
We can't believe our eyes that one of the most loved people in our childhood was right in front of us after death.
"I can't believe you're here!" Bonnie exclaimed crying.
"Now stop crying, we don't have time for tears" definitely Miss Sheila, straight to business no time to wait. She just then seemed to remember that her blonde vampire and boringly normal human friend were still in the room with the two Bennett witches. "Nice to see you two girls again."
"Hi miss Sheila." Caroline greeted while smiling.
"Good to see you again" I told the deceased witch a ghost of a smile on my face. Grams looks back over to Bonnie hopefully going to tell her granddaughter how to stop ghosts appearing out of nowhere and everywhere.
"A fine mess you've made, honey." Sheila told her granddaughter relating to the problem we're having with ghosts "The witches told you there'd be consequences bringing Jeremy back and you did it anyway."
"I didn't have a choice. I love him... I couldn't just let him go." Bonnie defended using her love for my brother as a reason to bring him back to life like any couple in love would do if they had the means.
"I understand. But you cracked open the door to the other side. There's an old witch over here. she took advantage of it. she took advantage of you honey." Grams told bonnie being understanding of how the young witch wished to save her beloved but still warning her of the consequence by being took advantage of an old witch. "When you did that spell to send Vicki Donovan away, she wedged the door wide open, giving a free pass to anybody with unfinished business." oh my days this is beyond not good. What is this witch's game? Her goal seems to be create as much havoc as possible.
"How do you know this?" Bonnie questions her grandmother after all she has been dead, how does she know the scary old witch's plan?
"Witches talk. Even on the other side. Who do you think makes the rules?" She smiles at Bonnie making me give a little smile at the two family members interacting at Grams little joke about witches.
"What does the witch want?" Bonnie questioned wondering the same as me, what's this witch's end game?
"That's Original vampire business, not yours. I don't want any of you getting in the middle of that." she told not only Bonnie but me as well making me confused about how I fit into witch or vampire business. Maybe because I'm getting close with Rebekah? "I'm here because you upset the balance of nature. And it's your duty to set it right. You need to close that door." She told Bonnie focusing her whole attention onto her.
"The witch is drawing power from this side from an old talisman, this talisman is important to the witch and holds supernatural powers. if you destroy the talisman bonnie the door to the other side will close." She informed her granddaughter.
"Talisman? What Talisman?" Bonnie asked the older Bennett.
"The necklace." I said "Elenas necklace could be the talisman." Looking at Grams I assume that my unusual guess was correct.
"Looks like perhaps it has its perks" Sheila said looking impressed with a look in her eye that she knows more than she's letting on. It makes no sense. What perks? It was a guess? But why would I guess Elena's necklace out of everything? I furrowed my eyebrows confused about to ask but before I could she looked back at Bonnie.
"Keep everyone safe my little witch." Giving us time to rush out of the room to get the Elenas necklace to destroy the only thing keeping the ghosts here. Caroline phoned Elena to keep her updated informing her of everything we just earned but as she was doing so mines went also. Unknown number. I answered wondering who could be phoning me.
"Hello?" I greeted hoping it was just a prank caller and not some stalker.
"Alex? is that you?" A familiar voice asked back as if they were still unsure if they had the right number. The sound of their voice nearly made me drop my phone altogether.
"Jenna? You're here! You came through the other side?" I said shocked beyond belief that my aunt who died in a ritual months ago was talking to me through the phone.
"Yeah. I'm really confused right now, Alex. What do I do?" Jenna replied sounding partly scared partly confused.
"Where are you, Jenna?" Wanting the location of my dead aunt so I can speak to her one last time.
"You know that pay phone across from the field me and your mom used to take you and Elena when you were little? There." She informed me making me nod even though she can't see me do so.
"I'll be there in 15 minutes don't move." I instructed her to do while walking over to the girls who were waiting on me in the car. "I love you." Which she replied the same.
Bonnie began to drive away from the creepy witches house towards the center of town quickly trying to find Elena while I asked her to stop at the junction where the field was down.
"What is it, Alex?" She asked obviously in a rush especially if it involves getting rid of her boyfriends dead ex. I shook my head.
"I need to do something don't worry about me. Get to that necklace." I told her being as vague as possible, both her and Caroline looked unsure of whether they should let me go on my own. I reassured them telling them to go and I'll be fine. When they finally drove away, I ran to the payphone about half mile away from the junction.
"Alex!" I heard a yell come from that direction before getting up close and seeing my blonde aunt for the first time in months.
"Jenna!" I embraced my aunt not wanting to let go in case she disappears in a puff of smoke "What are you doing here? How did you not find peace?" I asked in her ear before slowly pulling back from the hug.
"How could I when I had you and your sister to worry about?" she questioned with a slight smile on her face. I cocked my head confused. Sure, Elena gets into trouble, but I stay out of it most of the time, trouble and mischief being more my siblings thing than mines "I can't move on knowing you hate her." She told me making me realize that she was talking about our relationship.
"I don't hate her!" I defended which she gave me a look at like 'you sure about that?' "I dislike her intensely." I admitted which she nodded at "Its cause of the two idiots who dote on her every move that makes me so annoyed at her. And she just can't help but get us all into trouble even if she doesn't mean it. It's just confusing with the Salvatores being there every moment of every day." I told my dead aunt who looked at me like she understood.
"She's your sister, you should have moments when you hate her and her boyfriend. There should be times when you're jealous or annoyed at her. You should have seen me and your mom at your age. The fights about boys, makeup, parties and sneaking out, they were harsh. But at the end of the day, I knew I could go and confined in her about anything and had her as a shoulder to cry on about a boy or a fight with a friend and she would be there." She told me about the past with her mother, I knew how unalike the two were. They were chalk and cheese just like me and Elena. "You need to make up with her, love her, comfort her just like she should do with you. You're sisters." She continued making me think of how maybe I have been a bit harsh on her, I mean she can be annoying and indecisive, but she always tries to help others even when plans backfire.
I looked at my aunt then down at my fingers playing with them feeling bad at how she couldn't move on because of the grudge I held against her which stemmed from the accident. I looked at her then nodded.
"I'll try to" My brown eyes watering up at the sight of my aunt. "I miss you, Jenna. I miss our movie nights, when you'd come and watch my shows, cooking together or attempting to." Making both her and I laugh a bit with tears streaming down my face as well as hers
"I miss you too. And Elena and Jer. I miss Ric. I loved you all so much." I smiled at her declaration before an idea popped into my head. voice recordings. I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and tapped on the video section on my camera app.
"What do you want to say to them, and I'll record it. I'll give it to the three of them, make sure your memory stays alive forever." I told her never wanting her to leave but knowing its inevitable. She nodded for me to press play and we recorded three messages for the three most important people in Jennas life.
The sun was beginning to set, and I had a feeling that soon the talisman will be destroyed.
"I love you, Jenna."
"I love you too Alexandra. Please love your sister like I loved mine. You need to have each other because if you can't rely on one another who can you." A great big smile across her face which I mirrored. I gave he the hugest hug I could possibly give before I couldn't feel anything. I was sitting on a broken down wooden bench in the middle of nowhere with high probability of dying yet I still curled into a ball and cried knowing that it was foolish of me to cry after she has been dead for months but the grief of her gave flooding back. my eyes drooping from the tiredness of the day I've had which was not just physically but emotionally draining.
Then all of a sudden, I heard my phone ring making me jump becoming more alert of my surroundings and situation. what idiot would fall asleep on a park bench in the field I essentially grew up on.
I looked to see who was calling and saw the photo of my favorite guitarist, I wiped my face, cleared my throat before answering.
"Hey, what's up?" I asked as cheerily as I could considering the circumstance I was in only a few minutes ago.
"Where are you?" he replied hurriedly "You need to get here now." he urged
"Mark calm down what happened?" I asked hoping it would shed some light on the way he was talking.
"You don't know? Sam's Uncle Toby, the head of the historical society, He's dead." This makes me freeze at the words, my mind going straight to Sam and how heart broken he will be.
"I'll be at Sams place as soon as I can." I told him getting up from the bench walking into the direction of town.
"Good. Hurry." I was about to call a cab, but I saw a pair of headlights coming that direction. I realized it was Bonnie's car. She pulled over when I rand on the middle of the road telling her to stop.
"Alex? What's wrong? Why are you still in the middle of nowhere?" She questioned as I got into the back as my brother was in the passenger seat.
"Later. Do you know where the Fell family live?" she nods slowly starting to move the vehicle "Can you take me there?"
"Sure. What happened to Mr. Fell was horrible." All I could think about was the times he came to the concerts and boasted that 'that bassist is going to be bigger than Paul McCartney' making Sam blush many times.
"Yeah, Mark just called me to let me know. I need to see Sam." Both my brother and his girlfriend? nodded. After about ten minutes Bonnie pulled over in front of Sams house, "Thanks for the ride Bon. Jer, I won't be home tonight. I'll be staying here."
"Yeah, don't worry about it I'll let Elena and Ric know." Jeremy told me while Bonnie waved me off saying it was fine and to go and see Sam. I thanked them both again before exiting her car and rushing to the house.
I knocked in the door three times to see a crying Meredith Fell, Sams cousin answer the door.
"He's in his room with James and Mark." She informed letting me in before I opened my mouth. I smiled as a thanks before rushing into his room to see him crying into James's sweater.
"Sam..." I for once didn't know what to say, he looked up at me, I rushed over and gave him a huge hug which he reciprocated now instead of crying into James's sweater he was crying into my tank top as I felt the wetness of his tears through the fabric but nevertheless hugged him tighter closing my eyes as I try to comfort my best friend on his loss. Feeling the two boys hugging us also creating a huge group hug, I tried to reassure my crying best friend.
"Sh, sh, sh. Everything will be okay." Comforting him hopefully.
But little did I know that the death of Tobias Fell was going to cause much more problems than anticipated.
*************************************************
A/N: Hey readers, hope you enjoyed the chapter and how I incorporated my own little twist about Alex and Elena but don't worry the Salavtore brothers still have to live up to her expectations.
Next chapter your going to see the start of the next episode like the very beginning and Sam will be in it a lot more.
If there are any spelling, grammar mistakes or British slang let me know.
And please like or comment something so I know if I'm doing at least a decent job at writing.
Thanks for reading lovelies xxx

Could you write a tree bros or boyf riends body swap?
(Hey there! Sorry this took so long. I got a little carried away.)
Michael clenched his fists again. His jaw trembled though he tried to stop it. “We have to talk about this stuff Jeremy. You can’t just shut me out.”
“I said I’m fine,” Jeremy repeated through gritted teeth, but he was pulling his t-shirt back on. It was suffocatingly hot even in Michael’s basement and Jeremy had taken off his shirt. Michael had blushed furiously (because it was Jeremy so of course he had) before noticing the shock scars along his spine. He had had them from before. Michael had watched them fade over time during trips to the pool and whenever they happened to change around each other. These scars, however, were fresh.
“That bastard’s shocking you again? Are you out of Mountain Dew Red?”“No I’m…” Jeremy didn’t meet his eyes. “It’s not that bad.”
“You don’t deserve that Jer. You know that right? This isn’t some self hate bullshit again is it because I can’t…”
“I don’t want to talk about it Michael!” He spat. “Can we just play the game?” It had been a good day up until then. Maybe Michael should’ve just kept his mouth shut.
Jeremy hugged his knees and stared at the fan. He looked tired, eyes sunken and skin pale.
“Why can’t we talk about it Jeremy? If the Squip is bothering you I want to…”“You don’t understand Michael,” he said, shaking his head vigorously. “You just can’t understand okay? Let’s just drop it. I’m fine. Let’s play the game.”
Michael didn’t want to drop it. Everything in him was screaming that he shouldn’t drop it. But he didn’t want Jeremy to storm off by himself. If Jeremy was by himself he was weaker to the Squip and Michael didn’t want that.
“Fine,” he said tightly. “Let’s play.”
Maybe it wouldn’t be such a big deal if Michael Mell weren’t completely, 100% head over heels in love with his best friend Jeremy Heere. The crush seemed to complicate most everything.
Of course he had no intention of ever telling him. Jeremy was still getting over Christine. After they’d broken up Jeremy said he was fine, and that they were great as just friends, but Michael knew him well enough to read the disappointment in his expression. Jeremy didn’t like him the way Michael wanted him to. And that was okay. He’d get over it. He was getting over it.
Jeremy left around ten. They didn’t speak much after Jeremy’s outburst. It was awkward at first but soon they settled into the comfortable silence of friendship. Toward the end of the night they were almost back to normal: quiet banter and soft smiles occupied the (now less) sweltering basement.
“See you tomorrow,” Michael said as he left.
Jeremy managed a smile. “Yeah, see you tomorrow.”
***
The moment Michael woke up he knew something was wrong. First of all, the crack on his ceiling that he always fell asleep staring at was gone. Second of all, when he sat up he realized he wasn’t wearing the pajamas he went to bed in. And his hands weren’t his hands. And neither was anything else. He’d woken up in Jeremy’s room and upon stumbling into Jeremy’s bathroom he confirmed that he was also in Jeremy’s body.
“Fuck,” Michael said with Jeremy’s voice. “Fuck! I’ve lost my mind.” He pinched Jeremy’s arm and it hurt.
What are you going on about?
The sudden voice in his head nearly gave him a heart attack. It was low and annoyed in a vaguely menacing fashion. It was the Squip in Jeremy’s head. “This isn’t happening,” Michael said.
What is your deal Jeremy? Has the pot finally killed all your brain cells?
The Squip thought he was Jeremy. He guessed it was weak enough now to reside on the sidelines of Jeremy’s brain.
“No,” he said aloud, voice cracking in the cute way Jeremy’s always did. “I just need to call Michael.” If he was here then Jeremy must be at his house…in his body. He thought he might faint.
We talked about this Jeremy. The Squip whined. You’re not allowed to pine 24/7. “Pine? I’m not…he doesn’t. Shit can you stop for a second?“
We both know you’re out of Mountain Dew Red. The Squip taunted cruelly. I thought you said you deserved my help?
Jeremy had said he deserved to be berated by this asshole. Michael’s chest ached. He needed to call him. He needed to call him right now. He grabbed Jeremy’s phone, and realized with horror that he didn’t know his passcode. Dammit. He tried Jeremy’s birthday, then Christine’s birthday, before giving up he tried his own birthday. The phone unlocked. Michael flushed red.
He scrolled through Jeremy’s contacts until he found the name Player Two. "C'mon, pick up, pick up.” It went to voicemail. Michael’s heart was in his throat.
“Jeremy! Are you up? You’re going to miss the bus,” Jeremy’s dad shouted from downstairs.
This was going to be awful. This was actually going to be awful. He got dressed quickly, with his eyes closed and proceeded to brush Jeremy’s teeth and hair and put on his backpack and get on his bus which was all immensely weird. He had to find not Michael before class started. That is if Jeremy had even gotten his body to school. Worst case scenarios involving panic attacks and fear clouded his thoughts. Calm down Michael. Don’t freak out until you know you have something to freak out about. He chewed on his nails nervously until he felt a sharp shock at his, Jeremy’s he reminded himself, spine.
“What the hell?” He whispered harshly.
Don’t bite your nails Jeremy. The Squip said, amused.
So this was the kind of shit he got scars for? Michael wished, more than ever, for the Squip to be a physical person so he could beat the crap out of it. Michael stopped biting Jeremy’s nails.
When he got to school Jeremy wasn’t anywhere he usually was. He checked his locker and Jeremy’s and the picnic table outside where they sometimes hung out before class. He wasn’t anywhere. Rich was at the table.
“Hey Jer, where’s Michael? Thought you two were joined at the hip.”
“I haven’t seen him. Have you?” Michael asked, trying to keep his voice even but Jeremy’s nerves betrayed him.
Rich’s brow furrowed. “You okay?”
“Fine,” Michael squeaked. “Can you let me know if you see Jeremy…I mean Michael. I’m Jeremy, obviously. Yeah…”
Rich laughed. “Alright weirdo.”
Luckily, Michael knew Jeremy’s schedule by heart, and since he thought it might be more trouble to wander around looking for him, he headed to Jeremy’s first period English.
He managed to keep a low profile until lunch, only slipping up several times by not responding to the name Jeremy.
At lunch Jeremy wasn’t at their usual table. He pulled out Jeremy’s phone and shot him a text:
Hey Jer, I know this is super weird and you’re probably freaking out but if you’re at school you should meet me. If not I’m going to come over after and we can try to fix this Freaky Friday shit. Don’t worry. - Michael
“Jeremy!” Michael looked up to see Christine Caligula smiling at him with her lunch tray in hand. “Is Michael here? Can I sit?"
"Yeah, of course,” he croaked. Michael liked Christine. He just didn’t really know her.
“Okay bro, it’s time to dish.” She put her carton of fries between them to share and stared at him intently.
“Dish what?” He asked dumbly. He thought, for a moment, that she might be onto him. Maybe his Freaky Friday fiasco had triggered others and Christine was actually Chloe or Jenna or Jake.
“We have a deal remember? I give you all the hot gossip about the theater kids and you update me on Operation Confess Your Feelings to Michael Mell?”
“Confess my…” Michael nearly choked. “Confess my what now?”
Christine rolled her eyes. “Don’t play dumb with me. How are things regarding your huge crush on him?”
“I…um.” Michael took a long drink from his milk jug to avoid answering.
“Um…Jeremy?”
“Yeah?”
“What are you doing?”
“I’m…oh shit I’m allergic to milk aren’t I?”
“Uh, huh,” Christine said. “Are you feeling okay?”
“I’m going to…uh, go to the bathroom. Sorry Christine.”
He darted off before he could hear her reply. He pinched himself a second time to confirm that this wasn’t all a twisted fever dream. It wasn’t. Jeremy had feelings for him? Like romantic feelings? Like maybe he reciprocated every gay thought Michael had had about him since the 8th grade? He locked a bathroom stall and stood there, thinking about it for a while. Jeremy’s hands shook when he was nervous. And when he stepped back out to look at the mirror Jeremy’s face was a splotchy red. He could do this. He just had to get through the rest of the day and find Jeremy.
By the time he made it to his house he was a sweating, trembling, mess. The Squip shocked him three more times for various nervous habits. Each time he felt more on edge, tears pricking at the corner of his eyes.
He pounded on his door and Jeremy, well Jeremy in his body, answered immediately.
“Michael!” Jeremy’s expressions looked different on Michael’s face. He could tell that his face didn’t normally look like that. “You are Michael right?” He asked after. “We Freaky Fridayed right?”
“Yeah,” Michael replied. “I think we did."
Jeremy grabbed him by the wrist and pulled him inside. "I’m sorry,” he said suddenly, and too loudly. “I’m so sorry Michael. I don’t know how but this is probably my fault. Oh my god has it been talking to you? Did the Squip hurt you Michael I swear to god…”
Michael? You’re not Jeremy?
“I’m fine but what about you?” He took Jeremy by the shoulders and looked him over. “You scared me when you didn’t answer my text.” He hugged him tightly to his chest and Jeremy’s shoulders relaxed.
“I guess I’m a good hugger huh?” He laughed. “You went to school as me?”
“Yeah,” Michael said.
Jeremy looked down. “I uh…kind of panicked.”
“It’s okay,” Michael said. His heart hurt. “How often does the Squip shock you?”Jeremy looked up at him, eyes, Michael’s eyes, watery. “Did it…?”
“How often Jer?”
“A couple times a day. Fewer when I have the Mountain Dew.”
Michael didn’t tell him that he’d been shocked four times.
“I’m sorry,” he broke down. Michael recognized the quivering that always showed up in his voice. “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you. I’m sorry this happened. I’m sorry it…”
“Don’t be. It’s not your fault. It’s hard. I get that now.” Michael burned with embarrassment every time he got shocked. The more it happened the more it felt like he deserved it. He understood why Jeremy didn’t want to talk about it. But he needed to.
“What else did you learn about me?” Jeremy muttered.
Michael felt light headed. They were still standing in the doorway. “I uh…well Christine said that you…um…I, Jeremy?”
“Yeah?” It was weird to look at himself and say it, but he needed to be brave.
“I’m in love with you.”
“You what?” He squeaked.
“I’m really gay for you Jeremy Heere. If we weren’t in each other’s bodies I’d ask if I could kiss you.”
“I love you too!” Jeremy shouted, then quieted again. “That was loud. But I do! I uh…Christine told you didn’t she?”
“Yeah,” he admitted. “I thought you were still hung up on her.”
“I’m not,” he replied.
“Cool,” Michael said, grinning.
“Cool,” Jeremy repeated.
“So…do you think we’ll wake up normal tomorrow? I feel like I’ve learned my lesson, or whatever I was supposed to.”
“I think so,” Jeremy said. “Do you wanna sleep here?”
“Sure.” He handed over his phone. “Text your dad.”
He was right. Michael woke up to Jeremy’s sleeping face. He’d drooled a little in his sleep and his eyelashes were fluttering slightly against his cheeks. Michael thought about the scars and made a mental note to order more Mountain Dew. He leaned forward and kissed him gently on the forehead. Jeremy’s eyes fluttered open. His smile was wide and dorky.
“I’m me.”
“Yeah, you are.”
“Can I kiss you?”
“Of course.”
Jeremy’s lips were soft and Michael’s pulse was quick. The kiss was gentle and sweet and perfect. Jeremy pulled back.
“I’m glad you’re you,” he whispered.
“I’m glad you’re you too.”

A BMC au nobody asked for (guardians/spirit au (
So I came up with a Be More Chill au and it’s kind of a Rise of the Guardians au, or at least involves spirits and powerful fantasy/spiritual forces, beings that were once mortal, and influencing the mortal realm but not necessarily being seen by mortals.
All my notes on it are under the cut
[[ MORE ]]
Bmc guardians/spirit au
Christine= Mother Nature/mamma bear Was a nymph at some point Can change form Makes herself human form from a past life to help Jer feel at ease Says to call her Christine. She is of medium power but has a domain that she openly welcomes spirits into and will protect them. If you were ever new or vulnerable, you’ve met Mother Nature. As a result, she’s earned the loyalty of a LOT of spirits Even gods And they will smite you if you cross a line with Christine. No One messes with mother nature Christine.
Jeremy is a spirit that dies at the start. Lightning is involved. As a result, Jer has a fear of electrocution. Rich is mortal and can see him. Mr. Heere can’t see him, which is something Jer avoids finding out but somehow knows. It still hurts/breaks him when he finds out.
Michael is a muse or some other spirit with some music tie-ins. He watches over Jer from the distance when Jer first emerges. He cares about Jer but doesn’t want Jer to discover him yet. See, he took an interest in Jer when his soul was forming itself into Jeremy (when Jer was being born. I should note here that souls can linger, reincarnate, and/or become spirits/gods depending on what they want to do and how powerful they are.) (On the topic of power, there are two forms of energy that give spirits power: belief and life force.) Back to Michael. He decided that he wanted to be a part of Jeremy’s life, so he took on the form.of a human boy, befriended Jeremy, and changed his appearence to grow with Jeremy. He doesn’t want Jeremy to find out that he was Michael out of fear that Jeremy will feel lied to and betrayed and never trust Michael. So he watches and guides from a distance. Also, when Jer died, Michael dropped the mortal charade. Few knew him and he was quickly forgotten. This would have sucked for Rich since Michael was also his friend, but Rich has a facination with the supernatural and spirits and figured Michael out. “Dude you can speak Latin, made references to things from dead civilizations, and had an impossibly large supply to discontinued junk food. You lectured our English teacher about Shakespeare. As much as I love a good dick joke, you figured them out way too quickly.” Also decided that part of being a Muse is universal knowledge of all culture. So Mike may reference a lot of memes and make puns.
Time for the weird/angsty part. The Squip. It is not a single spirit. It started as a collection of stray energy from strong emotions, dreams, and tiny superstitions. The energy had no diety to go to, so it gathered and mutated. Then either weaker souls that wanted to fade got absorbed by this amalgam and it started to become self aware. It absorbs the life energy of these wayward souls. Then a spirit of fear/nightmares falls into despair and gets swallowed by the amalgam. The amalgam now can sense, manipulate, and gain power from fear and nightmares. The emotions it absorbs are mostly negative, repressed ones. It takes on part of the personality of Fear, but a way corrupted version. It keeps growing with the primal instinct to grow, feed, and assimilate. It targets depressed mortals, especially their dreams. If you get nightmares form the Squip, you wake up feeling drained, restless, and weak.
The Squip targets Rich and others close to Jeremy. Jeremy is enraged. He attacks the Squip without a plan. This backfires. Jeremy gets struck by the Squip with a shard of despair. Now Jer is trapped within the Squip. He starts reliving all his bad memories. Losing his mother. His dad not seeing him. Dying. And suddenly he is full of self doubt. He means nothing. He died young and didn’t accomplish anything. Just a statistic. He’s nothing. Alone. Ugly. Worthless. He also gets shocked and it his fear flares and all is feels is pain, fear, depression, death. Death. Death. Death. And wouldn’t it be nice to just fade away? To just dissappear into nothing. No one would miss him. He is worthless. Worthless. Worthless. Worth… Was that music? It was kind of familiar and soothing. At least he could go peacefully…
MICHAEL MAKES AN ENTERANCE!
Michael breaks Jer out of his funk and together they are able to fight their way out and gtfo. Jer gets the despair shard out.
Alt: Jeremy learns that Michael, his best friend Michael, is actually a diety that thought Jeremy was worth being human for. Jeremy is flooded with memories and dreams of happy times with Michael and suddenly he feels like their may be a point to existing after all. The despair shard melts and Jer and Michael are able to subdue the Squip long enough to escape. They book it to Christine’s domain. After Jer recovers enough, Chris puts her hand on her hips and lectures Jer for his reckless behavior. Michael snickers. Christine turns to Mike and says, “And YOU!” Jer gets scared. “How can you dissappear for 16 years without a goodbye or and not visit? I was so worried!” “I…” “You know how to access me, mortal or not. And how dare you not visit me after you drop your mortal guise! The first time I see you I’m decades and you bring in a newly-formed spirit so weak he was flickering. Are you trying to give me a heart attack!” “Um…oof!” Michael is pulled into a hug. “I have two beds set up for you. Go get some rest.” “Okay, Mom.” “Darn right I’m Mom.”
As they rest, the boys gain Intel on the mortal realm. Part of Michael’s powers is that he can view and influence dreams. He also has partial omniscience when it comes to current events. There is talk of the rise of a Boogeyman. He infects dreams into nightmares and drains your energy. Since Jeremy’s tussle with the Squip, the dreams have spread and depression rates have gone up. Michael also either finds and talks with Rich or Skypes him. Rich tells him that people have started to act really low. He’s also seen people gather and wallow in misery.
Around this time Jeremy realizes that he can *feel* this misery. His vague grip on other’s emotions starts to feel more like a sense. He also realizes how powerful an experience being trapped in the Squip was. He could feel the despair of all the wayward souls surrounding him. He was always kind of an empathetic person, but this… He notices Rich fidget and feels a strong fear in his friend. It hurts and he just wants his friend to be okay and calmer. He takes a deep breath and visualizes pushing good vibes towards Rich. (Michael did this for him when he was mortal and had panic attacks.) Suddenly Rich takes a breath himself and looks less shaken. Did…did he do that. He senses pride and admiration and sees Michael giving him a big dopey grin. (The followong exchamge may occur: “What?” Jer asks “You know what.” Michael elbows Jer “Does Jeremy have emotional powers?” Christine called “Yep!” “Called it!” “No I called it.” “Agree to disagree. Now, care to help me set up?”)
Jer has the ability to sense and influence emotions. While the Squip had him, it had his abilities and used them to spread depression. The Squip either knew that Jer had/would have these powers and wanted/wants him to make that power its own. It also may have played a part in his death, but that’s iffy. Point being, Squip wants controll over emotions because it would make it easier to feed off of the despair and cause/gather wayward souls.
Christine calls Jer and Michael in and sends out word that they need help. It’s time to plan because they need to take down the Squip. Jer knows that he can lift people’s spirits but he’s not powerful enough to do much. (His ability was extended under the Squip’s influence because it had more power and reach.) People respond to Mother Nature’s calls pretty quickly. Now they plan and prepare to battle against the Squip.
And that’s all I got so far. I haven’t decided what the other characters’ roles would be. I think Jenna would have something to do with communication or just be mortal.
