Lifeblood

Rukani is an orphaned tiger, adopted by a clan of birds. She has a unique ability to "awaken" the technology left behind by the extinct people that came before. She doesn't fully understand it, but it compels her to search out evidence of the Elder Race.

She and her older brother Aara (the bird guy) end up going on an epic journey to save their current civilization from a rampant AI/robot named Scio. And they make some friends along the way :)

Finally finished this piece! :D The joke here is that @jenniferbrincho and I discovered that both our main characters started as Danny Phantom fan characters. So naturally, I had to draw them all interacting. XD My guy Barrenger (wolfy-lookin’ dude) was modeled after Wulf’s species originally. (Now he naturally looks more human if not for shapeshifting shenanigans, thus him thinking these other glowing-eyed individuals are also tulinai, his race. Everyone is confused and it’s great.)

Btw, you can see more of Farron (elf king on the left) in Jennifer’s Webtoon Farron and Noodle (go read it, it is so fun and has an adorable samoyed puppy who is happiness personified)! You can read about Barrenger…someday, when I finish writing his book series! (I’M ON BOOK 3 WE’LL FINISH EVENTUALLY)

A World with No More Night

New Paris has become a city of refuge for the lost and outcasts of human society. The walled city has withstood the growing undead curse corrupting the land. However, New Paris may not be as secure as orphaned refugee Christine once hoped. A strange presence haunts the Opera House, and its angelic voice threatens to reveal the curse she has spent years hiding. With the return of a childhood friend turned professional Hunter for the Church, Christine is caught between the darkness of the past and light of an uncertain future. Worst of all, the fate of New Paris now rests in her hands. One wrong move could mean the end of humanity as she knows it once and for all.

This idea has been rattling around in my brain for years. A huge thank you to my editor and beta reader @jenniferbrincho for all the help getting this story out of my brain and onto the page.

This story is rated teen for PG-13 levels of action, violence, blood, and for brief mention of some darker themes.

I wasn't sure on what to make so I figured that I would work on another character art piece featuring my OC Jessibel. She's out on a stroll looking for any lost lambs to guide them through the dreamscape safe and sound.

Currently Reading: In between books at the moment, but just finished rereading The Legendary Inge by Kate Stradling! I may reread her book Goldmayne if I don’t find something new I feel like reading right away.

Last movie in theaters: It’s been a WHILE and I’m honestly blanking on what movie I saw with some family a few months back, but I would LIKE to go see Across The Spiderverse soon!

Last series: I recently finished Amphibia. Not bad! I think I liked the first season the best though.

Craving: Water (just spent like two hours cleaning my upstairs and I’m SO THIRSTY)

Tea or coffee: Tisane (herbal tea!)

Currently working on: Been organizing and cleaning my craft room FINALLY, and organizing stuff on the cool new shelf header thing I got for on top of my dresser!

Charlotte (Sugar Coated Dream) by Sketchman

Based on a piece of gift art my friend made with her and the spirit animal, I drew the two of them enjoying their time in a wintery landscape while floating in the air as snowflakes fall and they dance in a sweet sugar-coated fashion.

Shira stifled a sigh as Ambassador Mahaleth launched into another long-winded repetition of his stance. They had been at this for hours now, with no progress. 

Two standard hours and eleven minutes, she confirmed with a quick glance at the time displayed on her tablet.

“And once more,” Rion of Onar interjected, “I assure the ambassador that our people will do nothing to harm T’aochifelia’s moons. We seek only to protect your planet and our people.”

Behind him, his bodyguard nodded. Both of the Onarans were shrouded in masks and robes of midnight blue, a stark contrast to the showy embroidered silks of the Touchy Feelies. 

No, Shira caught herself, the T’aochifeli. It had barely been two months, and already the human crew and their habit of nicknames were rubbing off on her. 

“Touchy Feelies” was accurate enough, considering the T’aochifeli’s emotional nature and general lack of personal space. But if she slipped and spoke that term in front of the flighty Andromedans, it could ruin diplomatic relations beyond repair. 

For now, Ambassador Mahaleth was fond of her—and by extension, the Quasar crew. Perhaps his greatest show of favor was allowing his name to be shortened from its usual nine syllables to three. Whether this was a good thing? Debatable.

Keep going with Somnia, Menta! As someone who’s been working on the same WIP series with my sister for years, I can tell you it’s so worth it to watch the story improve and grow (and eventually get closer to finishing 😄) Also let us know when you’re finished! It sounds interesting from the title (dreamworld? Magical sleep powers?) 😱

Try it now, maybe?  Sometimes Tapastic doesn’t allow people to view the page unless I publish it manually?  Their scheduling system is really buggy.

Also thank you!!! :’D  I’m so glad you enjoy it!  You don’t know how much it means to me to hear that!  Also keeping updates consistent is also very important to me.  I try very hard.  Haha.
