brand new mandalorian oc named kazaya pryze (pronounced “prize”)!!!

during the reign of the empire, kazaya relocated from the mandalore system to a small town on mapuzo. a less traditional mandalorian, he preferred to fight with beskar swords than blasters. around 16-15 bby, he found the jedi padawan jeff kovo (my other oc i posted before) and decided to give him a safe hiding spot in his village. there, he became jeff’s new master/mentor and continued his lightsaber training. he eventually passed down his clan colours to jeff, who put them in his new jedi robes.

introducing a new oc, jeff kovo! below is his backstory!

he starts out as a padawan (his master is a nothoiin woman named halo atona) and the both of them are rescued during order 66 by constantine and veraa. during this, they got separated from halo, so they took jeff under their wing from 19 BBY to 17 BBY.

during this time period, they taught him their own skills (con teaches him how to fly a ship, veraa teaches him spy work, and both teach him combat/shooting skills) so he could protect himself without jedi abilities and keep his identity hidden.

of course, con and veraa start to see him as a son (and he in turn sees them as the parents he never got to grow up with) but by 17 BBY, con gets in trouble with the empire and gets a bounty put on him (the one that makes qorbin kovani follow him to tatooine in the marshal's tale). to protect jeff since he's a jedi, con and veraa found the hidden path and sent jeff off there to find his master. veraa cut a part of her golden shawl and gave it to him as it is made of the blaster-proof karlini silk (which is why she ties it up at the back)

years later when he's an adult, jeff used the skills con and veraa taught him and chose to become a jedi mercenary, taking on jobs to survive and protect the little people. many of his jobs revolved around handling criminals or protecting small towns.

i've been wanting to make a mandalorian inquisitor oc and i finally did hehe. his name is degan adivo, aka the second brother! he joined the empire after the siege of mandalore in hopes that at the high rank the inquisitors hold, he can protect whatever surviving mandalorians there are out there and that he could help restore mandalore's former glory

in which jeff (the human) has a biological brother he doesn’t remember bc the jedi order took him too young, and he grew up with ikada (the chiss) so that’s who he views as his real brother

stari’ka’da (core name ikada) — growing up as the son of marshal stari’aa’vi, ikada developed a need to protect the little guy. trained by the mandalorian assassin kazaya pryze, ikada became adept at combat, and already showed a talent in sharpshooting prior to that. in his adulthood, he captained a pirate crew named the kada pirates and donned kazaya’s armour, given to him to protect him in his adventures

oc spotlight 11 — kazaya pryze

kazaya is a human mandalorian who worked as an assassin for most of his life. he was non-traditional and had his thigh plates melted down to forge beskar swords, making him extremely ostracised in his childhood. he didn't really care, and left mandalore in search of a peaceful life.

he was a wanderer for many years until, in 19 BBY, he moved to mapuzo. the local non-imperial marshal, stari'aa'vi / riaavi, allowed him to move in on the condition that he used his mandalorian skills for good and not only became his deputy but also trained his young son ikada who was interested in learning combat. kazaya agreed to both conditions.

he also took on jeff kovo, who had escaped the empire there through the hidden path, as a second apprentice. he protected him from the second brother.

over time, he eventually saw ikada as his son, and fell in love with riaavi. by 2 BBY, when ikada wanted to leave mapuzo with jeff to become pirates, kazaya gave him his armour (minus his helmet)

oc spotlight 4 — jeff kovo

jeff kovo is a human jedi. rescued from order 66 by constantine and veraa valoraa, he was raised by them for 2 years until they had to part ways. he was given a cut segment from veraa's karlini silk shawl as protection, which he now wears around his belt and his wrists as gauntlets.

he was relocated to mapuzo by the hidden path where he was promised protection by a local marshal and deputy—a chiss marshal named stari'aa'vi / riaavi, and his mandalorian deputy kazaya pryze who took jeff on as an apprentice alongside riaavi's son, ikada. over time, he and ikada went from rivals to close brothers. he and kazaya fought off the second brother in 17 BBY. in 2 BBY, ikada invited jeff to join him as a pirate to terrorise the empire. he agreed, though he turned down the role of first mate and settled for being his adoptive brother's swordsman.

day 6: fav oc ship — constantine x veraa, and amor x ikada (much newer and more connected to my current fixations lol)

jeff, i introduced before as a jedi padawan who constantine and veraa helped rescue from order 66 who grew up to be a mercenary.

kestaa was created by my friend (not on tumblr unfortunately) as a pickpocket from cantonica who is taken in by con and veraa, and grows up to be a bounty hunter. her hair is dyed with the same white streak constantine has, and she also has the gold threads veraa does! like her adoptive father, she has a liking for mandalorians as well which explains her armour's shape, and her belt is a copy of veraa's :)
