Documentary film “BARE” tells the story of a dance performance by a Belgian choreographer Thierry Smits with 11 male dancers. The choreographer and his team are going through a process of the audition, rehearsals and the premiere. The journey reveals internal artistic conflicts between dancers and the author, their personal challenges during several months of building the piece. The film mixes intimate rehearsal footage with an extensive and breathtaking dance sequences. Based on a dark animalistic energy and a ritual, this creation helps the author and his team to explore difficult, often taboo subjects through dance.
