"Ian, this is fuckin' stupid" grumbled Mickey as he watched the taller man effortlessly reach up to attach mistletoe above their doorframe.

"C'mon Mick, its tradition! We always had a sprig of mistletoe hanging above the Gallagher back door"

Mickey smirked and opened his mouth to reply when his husband cut him off.

"And no jokes about the Gallagher back door Mickey" Ian glanced down at him, and Mickey audibly snapped his mouth shut. God he knew his husband well.

After checking the plant was hung safely in place, his eyes flicked back down to Mickey and gave him a flirty grin.

"What ya say Milkovich? Wanna take it for a test run?" Mickey rolled his eyes and let out a long suffering sigh, though Ian could see the smile playing at the corner of his mouth as he leaned down to kiss him.

After finally breaking the kiss, Mickey opened his eyes to meet those beautiful green ones. Ones that looked suspiciously like they were plotting something.

"You know," Ian began, oh so casually, "we could have a contest. Whoever gets the most people to kiss them under the mistletoe wins. Loser has to do a forfeit"

Mickey just frowned back at him.

"Why the fuck would I wanna make out with the people that live in this building? You have seen our neighbours right?"

"Jesus no one said you had to make out with anyone, just a quick peck on the cheek will do. And hey, if you win, maybe you can pick prison roleplay as the forfeit and make me your bitch" Ian winked at him and slapped him on the ass as he walked into the living room.

Mickey huffed again before agreeing, and mumbling how that would hardly be a punishment for Ian.

By the end of the week, Ian was clearly in the lead. So far he'd managed to get a kiss under the mistletoe from a delivery guy, their building manager (who was coming to complain about something Mickey and Ian had done again but left blushing instead), their neighbour Jill and a few others. Mickey hadn't really been trying. The old lady who lived across the hall and clearly had a thing for younger men had practically jumped Mickey, which Ian thought was hi-larious. And then Jill...again.

When Saturday night came, Lip was heading round with Tami for a few drinks before they hit a few bars on the westside. Mickey went to open the door whilst Ian grabbed them some drinks from the fridge. Tami spotted the mistletoe instantly and placed a squeaking smooch on Mickey's cheek, making him roll his eyes.

"Yeah yeah, come in for fucks sake"

Ian gave Tami a hug and shouted over to Lip as he came into the apartment.

"Lip!! Mistletoe man, gotta kiss Mickey"

Mickeys eyebrows shot up and he turned to no doubt snark back a reply to his husband, when he felt 2 strong hands grasp his face and pull him in for a kiss. Not a peck, but a full mouth-on-mouth kiss. Mickey stood there frozen, and when his brother-in-law finally pulled back and dropped his hands he looked at Mickey curiously and rubbed his lips.

"Huh, kinda see what Ian likes so much about that now", and with that he slapped him on the shoulder and walked towards Tami, who was howling with laughter and asking him to do it again so she could get a photo. After Mickey thawed enough to move, the first thing he saw was the barely controlled rage of his husband, whose complexion was beginning to match his hair.

The next morning, Mickey wisely stayed silent but had a knowing smirk on his face while Ian took the mistletoe down and threw it in the bin.

Mickey rises, failing to mask his irritation and tinge of jealousy, “With who?”

“Oh just some boy I met…” he slowly meets him at the couch.

Mickey pauses, giving Ian a watch what you say next look.

“…Dark hair, blue eyes, around,” he smirks, “5’6 or so..”

“Ruggedly handsome?” he questions, his hand now traveling slowly down Ian’s exposed bicep.

“Yep, that’s the one.” Ian yanks him closer. Soft kisses interrupted by grins against his cheek.

“Also, It’s 5”8, bitch.”

“Okay tough guy,” he giggles, planting a slow, gentle kiss on the boy’s lips.

Finding a movie where Ian wouldn’t drool over one of the actors was proving to be goddamn impossible. Netflix was too full of fucking pretty boys. “If you don’t wanna sleep on this couch tonight, we ain’t watching any of these.”

Mickey could admit to himself only that lately, his jealousy had gotten kinda uncontrollable.

He could feel Ian’s breath puffing against the crook of his neck. It was slowing, and his head was getting heavier on Mickey’s shoulder. His hand stopped its circular motion, going limp over Mickey’s steady heart. He wasn’t even listening. He was falling asleep already.

Because I fell asleep listening to Smosh videos I had two Smosh related dreams.

1. That Ian and Anthony filmed a video that was centered around them getting high and then swimming in a pool. They were giggling like crazy and Ian was scared of a feather in the pool. Anthony was also going to carry him around in the water.

2. Ian was outed by being gay/bisexual because Dan from Game Grumps talked about how he had sex with Ian before.
