Kolaborasi Global, PLN Gandeng Pupuk Indonesia dan ACWA Power Siap Bangun Pabrik Hidrogen Terbesar

BALIPORTALNEWS.COM, JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) bersama PT Pupuk Indonesia dan ACWA Power, Arab Saudi mempertajam upaya pengembangan proyek Integrated Green Hydrogen Project dan Green Ammonia dalam bussines matching ASEAN-Indo-Pacific Forum (AIPF), Rabu (6/9/2023). Proyek bersama ini nantinya akan menghasilkan green hydrogen dan green ammonia sebagai bahan bakar alternatif yang lebih ramah lingkungan. Direktur Utama PLN, Darmawan Prasodjo menjelaskan kerja sama ketiga pihak antara PLN, Pupuk Indonesia dan ACWA merupakan wujud konkret kedua negara dan perusahaan untuk mencapai target dekarbonisasi. Lewat hilirisasi hidrogen, tak hanya menghasilkan listrik, namun proyek ini sekaligus menjawab kebutuhan ammonia bersih atau green ammonia dan green hydrogen yang bermanfaat sebagai energi alternatif. "Proyek ini akan menghasilkan hidrogen yang berfungsi sebagai bahan bakar alternatif yang ramah lingkungan. Pabrik hidrogen ini juga akan mengembangkan hilirisasi energi berupa green ammonia dan green hydrogen yang bisa diserap oleh industri pupuk," kata Darmawan. Executive Vice President Pengembangan Bisnis Korporat dan Investasi, Sapto Aji Nugroho menjelaskan proyek ini akan menjadi pabrik hidrogen pertama di Indonesia yang mampu menghasilkan bahan bakar energi alternatif yang meningkatkan efisiensi sektor kelistrikan dan sektor pangan. Nantinya, pabrik hidrogen terintegrasi ini mampu menghasilkan 30 ribu ton green hydrogen dan 120 ribu ton green ammonia serta menambah kapasitas listrik yang berasal dari energi bersih sebesar 200 megawatt. Lewat bussines matching kali ini, ketiga perusahaan akan membahas lebih detail lagi timeline pembangunan proyek. Selain itu, ketiga perusahaan juga akan mendetailkan aspek teknis, legal, komersial, hingga risiko. "Kerja sama ini sudah memasuki tahapan Joint Development Study Agreement (JDSA) serta menjadi pilot project terbesar di Indonesia," ujar Sapto. Proyek ini juga menjadi salah satu kerja sama transisi energi yang solid dan akan menjadi showcase pada gelaran COP 28 di Dubai Desember mendatang. Targetnya, pada tahun depan proyek ini sudah bisa melaksanakan financial close dan pada tahun 2025 dimulai tahap konstruksi.
