Curve ball, how about a freyris duo boss fight!
@mystery-salad
Oh boy, oh man, oh fuck, what do I do now, hhh
Thanks for sending in an ask @mystery-salad (tbh i didnt know whether to tag it or not, jdk this part of ask etiquette, so you shall be tagged just in case), now that one is an interesting one and I needed to think a little bit, but I think I got it.
Their love is very strong. If Freya was corrupted, Eyris would sacrifice herself to the corruption so she could be with her until the end (wouldn't happen the other way, since Freya would be more inclined to put Eyris out of her misery). Surely their allies would end their monstrous misery, so if they can be together until the very end... Why not.
Freya is a melee attacker while Eyris shoots you down from a vintage point.
The main mechanic is that you have to kill them at the same time. Otherwise, the one who is not down will become invulnerable and begin resurecting the other one until their HP % is equal (if you kill Eyris at, let's say, Freya's 40%, then Freya goes to her to ress her to 40%. Best strategy is to bring them down to 5-10% and kill them then, since the attack window before the resurrection is very short. There is a jumping platform for the players to get quickly to Eyris if they kill Freya first.
Since Freya's core profession is a guardian, she has a shielf that pops up at 75%, 50% and 25%. You want to CC it, because if you don't she sets traps which immediately kill the players (like Sabetha's flamewall). As a bow user, Freya will use piercing arrows that apply vulnerability. After the shield at 25% Freya reaches out to Wolf Spirit and transforms into a Wolf. She will now apply bleeding with claw attacks and cripple with bite attacks.
Eyris is a support here. She sends her fern hound, Airost, to protect Freya. Airost will pounce at random players and knock them down, he will howl to apply regeneration to all the allies. You do not want to kill Airost too soon, because if you do - Eyris summons another pet, each pet is stronger than the previous one. Pets are generated randomly out of rock gazelle Quartz (knock downs enemies), tiger Raya (knock downs enemies), skyscale Nova (applies burning wyvern style, targetting a random player, it is marked with an AOE that gets this... loading circle), or jackal Aiari (opens up sand portals on the ground, the players are teleported high up and fall, they can use glider to avoid death). Pet's do not deal much damage, they're just annoying. Eyris will get damage increase boon for every pet slain. Eyris's attacks consist mostly of shooting a knock back arrow or AOE arrow rain. Her damage is significantly lower than Freya's (unless pets are slain).
If Freya dies first, Eyris gets a damage increase boon and switches to close combat attacks: stabbing with daggers (applies bleeding) and axe spin (deals a lot of damage, you can CC, but if you're fast enough there is no need). Eyris's voicelines when her pets die: "No!" "They were innocent!" "You'll pay for this!" If Freya dies: "May the Wolf free her." "Thank you." "I'm sorry, but I have to kill you now." "For love!" and finally, upon death: "Aurene... forgive me..." "Together...at last..." "I don't...want to return to the Dream..."
Freya's voicelines when Eyris dies: "I alone forge my legend" "Wolf guide my claws!" "Death for death!", upon death: "this is...not the end...", "I'll get you... in the Mists..." "Dragons/Void* take you!". She has no voicelines for pet deaths.
*I honestly don't know when the corruption could get to both of them like this, so I'm writing both.
