1. Hello...how are you. I'm looking for two fix
a) I don't know if it will make sense. I think it was a time travel fanfiction and wei ying was doing a mock night hunt with the juniors and every time jiang cheng and wei ying met will chose a group for themselves and do this mock night hunting.
b) Lan Zhan was hit with an isolation curse. He first lost his hearing then sight and eventually feelings but wei ying still found a way to commicate with him @hewhomustnotbenamed24
1A)
FOUND? And Time Is But a Paper Moon by sami (M, 139k, WangXian, XiChengQing, Time Travel, Fix-It, Everyone Lives/Nobody Dies, Healing, Mental Health Issues, PTSD, Hurt/Comfort, Depression, BAMF WWX, BAMF JC, BAMF LWJ, BAMF JYL, Getting Together)

2. hi wonderful people! i've never done this before so hopefully i'm doing it right. i am very desperate to find this fic because it's haunting my brain!! i remember wei ying gets encased in some sort of crystal in jinlintai during jin ling's one month celebration or near that time and is kept hidden there. there was this one part where someone tried to break it and they were attacked by resentful energy? i'm pretty sure it was an everybody lives fic and it was quite long, if that helps! thanks! <;3 @circussocks
FOUND! laughing shadow by ich_bin_ein_stern (M, 32k, WangXian, Temporary Character Death, Blood Magic, Misunderstandings, Found Family, Somebody Lives/Not Everyone Dies, Canon Divergence)

3. Hello
There is this fic i read some time ago
Wwx took the curse off a ghost. the curse said you won't be able to see the ppl who have very strong feelings about you
Wwx thinks it's hate and is very heartbroken when he can't see anyone, and starts spiraling and explaining to himself why ppl hate him
FOUND? See Me, Feel Me (Listening to You) by Ghost_Honey (T, 29k, WangXian, POV WWX, WWX Needs a Hug, WWX’s Abyssmal Self-Esteem, Emotional Healing, Angst, The Juniors love their Senior Wei, Curses, WWX is an Unreliable Narrator, JC & WWX Reconciliation, Emotional Hurt/Comfort, Platonic Cuddling)

4. I'm looking for a modern AU meet-cute where single dad WWX goes to a party at JYL + JXY's place (I think he gives JYL an ink painting for her birthday). Wen Chao hits on him and WWX needs an escape. He sees LWJ looking at a painting and pretends they're married, and LWJ immediately rolls with it to play the protective husband. They're smitten and leave together. LWJ makes pancakes the next morning and wins over A-Yuan. The fic is under 10k, I think, and probably E-rated for smut. Thanks so much!
FOUND! feel it so strong (we don’t even have to say goodbye) by curiositea (E, 6k, wangxian, Modern Setting, Strangers to Lovers, Love at First Sight, Single Parent WWX, Getting Together, Happy Ending, Fluff and Smut, Explicit Sexual Content, Rimming, Anal Fingering, Anal Sex, Underprep, LWJ's Canonically Huge Cock, WC Being an Asshole, Fake/Pretend Relationship) except the Ink Painting for Yanli's birthday is from a different fic, the best of you by Sysrae
~*~
5. hi! I'm finding this fic on ao3 where Wei Wuxian is from a minor sect. I think he was from Tianshan He (the clan that JGY and XY murdered in Villaneous Friends but I'm not very sure. The plot was starting from the Wen Discussion Conference I think ? Everyone is surprised to see a minor clan get the top spots because of Wei Wuxian, and take keen interest in him @wutheringskies
FOUND! every world, every universe by glitteringmoonlight (T, 5k, wangxian, HS & WWX, Canon Divergence, WWX is in Tingshan He, WWX Isn't Adopted by the Jiāngs, Fix-It of Sorts, Genius WWX, WIP) WWX is the Tingshen He head disciple who surprised everyone by winning the Wen archery tournament

6. im looking for a fic but all i can remember is that after lan xichen caused wwx's death (killed him? kept lwj frok saving him? led a siege) lan wangji challenged him to a fight. for years after lxc refused to talk about his brother at conferences and i think? lwj left the cultivation world behind or went into hiding with ayuan? any help appreciated 🙏🏾 @onlyegret
Not FOUND! 💖 demons run when a good man goes to war by Miranda_Aurelia (T, 20k, wangxian, LWJ & NHS, JYL/JZX, canon divergence, angst w happy ending, NHS & LWJ friendship, not JGY friendly, dark LWJ, revenge, (presumed) major character death, not LXC friendly) might be demons run when a good man goes to war. if not, you may enjoy it anyway.

7. hi! i'd love help finding a fairly popular (?) time travel fic that's escaping my searching ability somehow... it's a lil short, from at least a year ago. post-siege lwj is sent back to sunshot, and wants to do better by wwx, but wwx is already friendlier to him, and takes him flying to where he's hidden the wens. they play music to a-yuan, and then! (spoiler haha) it turns out to be post-canon wwx <3 idk why i can't find it, so thank you!
FOUND! More than a Dream of You by VoidRune (T, 8k, wangxian, Canon Divergence, Time Travel Fix-It, Hurt/Comfort, LWJ centric, Pining, Not Actually Unrequited Love, Talks of Demonic Cultivation)

8. Hi, you seem like you know things and I have exhausted myself trying to find this fic.
It’s about Wei Ying, his siblings and the Wen siblings living in a house together, modern era, while he renovates it little by little. He is actually a tattoo artist but isn’t working atm. Then Lan Zhan moves in and stays in Yanli’s room with her so he assumes that he is Yanli’s bf but never opens his mouth to ask. Lan Zhan and Yanli are actually best friends and while Wei Ying and Lan Zhan instantly click he tries to push Lan Zhan away because he thinks he is dating his sister. I vividly remember this fic but no matter what tag combos I try, I can’t find it. If you can find it you’d be my heroes :) Lan Zhan also wears skirts here which is always a bonus.
FOUND? could be Once Upon a Place by zeldasayre (E, 80k, WangXian, House restoration, Falling In Love, Misunderstandings, Enemies to Lovers, Enemies to Friends to Lovers, Bisexual WWX, Trans Male WWX, Gay LWJ, JYL & LWJ Friendship, Modern AU, Set somewhere in America, Tattoo Artist WWX, Librarian LWJ, Mutual Pining, Angst with a Happy Ending, Slow Burn, Domestic) I looked it up by the tattoo artist Wei ying tag, I haven't read it tho
~*~
9. It's a modern-day college AU - Wei Wuxian has a roommate who is very confused why he keeps rhapsodizing about someone named Long John (as the roommate hears it)
FOUND? Long John by hasu (G, 3k, wangxian, modern, Crack Fluff, POV Outsider, College/University au)
~*~
10. hi I'm looking for a modern au where lwj is kidnapped by the wen and wwx is being forced to work for them but they realize they're soulmates(?) and i think they might have memories of their past lives. wwx has to help the wen cuz jyl and jc are being held hostage. please and thanks 🙏🏾 @onlyegret
FOUND! in another life by dogear (M, 33k, WIP, WangXian, Past Lives, Enemies to Lovers, WWX POV)
~*~
11. I can’t find this fic and it’s driving me crazy! It was a modern college au, and lwj brought wwx back to his family ranch for break. The premise was that wwx stole lwjs hat to wear, and everyone was giving them looks because there’s a saying like ‘wear the hat, ride the cowboy.’ There’s a scene where lwj literally grabs a bull by the horns and wrestles it to protect wwx. In the end lwj tells wwx about the saying and they fuck. I think this fic might be hidden/deleted but I can’t be sure? Even a link for the way back machine would be amazing. Thank you!! (I know exactly which fic this is but I cannot find it either :( I hope it wasn't deleted - Mod C) @adeametea
FOUND? 11 on recent FicFinder might be Local Cowboy Goes To Town (On A Poor Defenseless Twink) by Pancho. Unfortunately, Pancho's works are currently hidden due to AI scrapping
~*~
12. Hello! I’m looking for a fic I read a while back where Wei Wuxian was resurrected by Qin Su, finds out that he is pregnant by Jim Guangyao, and tricks Lan Xichen into thinking that the child is his. I’ve been searching everywhere for this fic but I can’t seem to find it!
FOUND? So You Want to Start a War by JaenysBloodcourt (T, 41k, WIP, MY/QS, MY/WWX, WangXian, Reincarnation, Half-Sibling Incest Mention!, QS does the ritual instead of MXY, WWX as a woman, MY Is His Own Warning, Canon Divergence, Impersonation, Additional Warnings In Author’s Note, Please check the notes before reading a chapter, Timeline What Timeline, WWX Has PTSD)

13. Hello I’m trying to find a fic i read a few years ago it was modern day and lan zhan kidnapped Wei wuxian who works at a coffee shop to be his husband and he keeps he locked up in a penthouse and he wasn’t allowed to look out the windows and one chapter he had a fever and stepped on broken glass. @stitch97
FOUND? Courtship Rite by FunkyShoes (M, 26k, WangXian, XiYao, Dark LWJ, Dark LXC, Morally Gray JGY, Malicious NHS, but that's not the focus of the story, banality of evil, Kidnapping, Courtship Gone Wrong, Manipulation, Mind Manipulation, Off Screen Violence, Supportive Sibling LXC, Modern AU, Dubious Consent, Rape/Non-con Elements, Non-Graphic Rape/Non-Con, I've been told I should tag for passive victim wwx) I think. It's JGY POV
~*~
14. I'm looking for a fic, but the main problem is I'm not sure if it was on AO3, Tumblr or Twitter (and if it was Twitter, I think I read it as an unrolled thread). LWJ visits WWX in Lotus Pier and at one point gets accidentally whipped by YZY when she was aiming for WWX. He demands WWX's hand in marriage as reparation and I think LXC was a little exasperated but didn't contest it.
Thank you in advance, and no worries if you can't find it! (I feel like I read something like this recently but which of them was it is the problem TvT ~Mod L)
FOUND! Tumblr post by ronniexian I’m fairly certain it’s this
~*~
15. I’m looking for a Cloud Recesses fic where Wei Wuxian wants to signal that he and Lan Wangji are courting so he grinds ink for him before class.
FOUND! 💖 Magical Marriage Ribbons Series by starandrea (Varies, 1m, WangXian, Canon Divergence, Accidental Marriage, Fluff, Happy Ending, Telepathic bond, Kink Negotiation, Family Drama, Magical Pregnancy, Dual Cultivation, Shapeshifters, Modern with Magic, Immortality, Yilling Wei Sect, podfic) I think #15 is one of the early worlds in the magical marriage ribbons series by starandrea. I'm not sure which, but I think there's a 30(?) Days of secret courting in cloud recess in it
~*~
16. hi! for the fic finder: i remember only one scene from a fic where at a cultivation conference both lan xichen and nie mingjue kiss jiang yanli on the cheek. i think it was either to make jin zixuan aware of jyl or otherwise a result of someone's political scheming? i dont remember whose idea it was but it wasn't lxc or nmj's. im positive this fic is in my bookmarks somewhere but i dont remember enough to find it lmao
FOUND? Lynchpin by ShanaStoryteller (Not Rated, 103k, WangXian, JC & WWX, Time Travel, Fix-It, Lynchpin [PODFIC] by Opalsong, [PODFIC] Lynchpin by Gwogobo) nhs convinces nmh and lwj to kiss jyl on the cheek at the phoenix mountain hunt to make jzx jealous
~*~
17. This is a hyper specific ask because the only things I remember about this fic is wangxian are in university and wwx is an art major or in some art class where he shares this big space with a bunch of classmates that's divided up with tape. At some point he gets into a fight with another classmate cause he stuff spills over and lwj helps him. I think it might have been lwj's pov?
FOUND! could it be "show me a quiver, give me tonight" or its part 2 "crossed the world with these empty hands" by spookykingdomstarlight
~*~
18. I’m looking for a fic where Lan Wangji first meets Wei Wuxian as his doctor, with Jiang Cheng storming out of his room shouting that Lan Wangji should just kill him because obviously WWX didn’t value his own life. (WWX had pushed JC out of the way of a car.) LW is darkly amused by it. He’s mildly obsessed with the pearl drop WWX wears? Runs into him in the meat department later, & eventually moves WWX in. Loves having him in their apartment, providing for him. Possibly too much @any-mouse
FOUND! singularity by azuresummer (E, 7k, WangXian, Modern AU, Dom/sub Undertones, Dominant LWJ, Submissive WWX, Serial Killers, Dark LWJ, Possessive LWJ, Protective LWJ, Serial Killer LWJ, Doctor LWJ, Stalking, Manipulation, Obsession, Mentions of Murder) I think 18 is singularity! Where lwj is a doctor/serial killer that stalks wwx at forst to kill him but falls in love wih him instead
~*~
19. hi. i'm searching for a fic, i don't remember much except the wei family is actually a merchant family and wei changze is their 3rd or 2nd young master. wy inherited all his father wealth and let the butler to continue doing it for him? then the wei family send dowry to cloud recesses, lotus pier n qinghe? withdrawn their business from lanling jin? anyone know where i can find it? thank you. :) @aishiteru-amie

20. Hi !! I've been looking everywhere for a fic (or maybe two ?) that takes place in the north (or south?) pole. I remember that they get trapped in there, and something is very wrong. I THINK that there was something about resentement-virus or something ? It was quite a while ago... I'm in the mood for Wangxian in the Arctic and i can't find it !!! xD If you managed to find it (or any like it...) Thank you so much by advance !! @czeriah

About
Basics
She/Her | 24 | Not a native english speaker
I keep trying to run from writing & the MXTX novels but I always come back
This blog exists since early 2020, but I've been in the fandom since mid/late 2019
Got an extentsive rp background
Contents
Most posts aren't aimed at/about CQL/The Untamed, which is why I never use the tag. I never finished it & don't want to catfish a whole nother fanbase.
The only exception to the rule above are the songs, which I've always been fond of. So, if you notice characterization in any variant of any char that feels related: this is why.
All posts are based on novel canon, but they're rarely to never a direct reflection of or link to it - reason why is that the posts stem from a point of dissatisfaction with canon.
Based on above: all posts are AU's (modern or not), Fix-It's, Headcanon's, Canon Divergences & the likes.
This is not me hating on canon, I simply have other priorities, options, etc than MXTX. I'm not her, her base exists, I just do my thing with it - or that of people that request things, to the best of my abilties at the time.
While there are certain key elements of the chars that I'll always implement, it rarely ever happens that 2 posts of mine share the same exact base for virtually anything - from motivations, goals, relationships, trauma healing stages, etc.
As I'm actively trying to distance from canon to create a safe space for all chars & ships, please keep the points above in mind.
In short: canon is canon, this ain't canon. This a space for love, healing & peace.
My Ships
Please note that I'm not pushing anything into canon, I honestly don't even ship anything in canon/with the full canon base - no, not even WangXian.
The list of the following ships weren't chosen by me, they just planted themselves in my head & haven't left since: XiCheng, NHS/WN, WQ/NMJ, JXY/JL.
The ships mentioned are just the one's that come/came naturally to me, however, I get ideas for whatever - also WangXian. I don't mind any ship, really, my strong point's m/m though.
Requests
As I'm trying to reclaim my "safe space" zone, please note that you can send me any sort of request anytime - through dm, anon, etc.
I have few to no triggers/no go's: shady consent (reason why I don't ship WX), actual bloodline inces* & adult/minor (age of consent is 16 in my country, so that's what I'm used to). If you request something that technically involves a base like that (WX, JGY/QS etc as examples) just know that I'll automatically adjust it to something more appropriate.
So far I haven't turned down a single request, so don't worry about stuff like thinking it's silly or whatever.
Please note that I'm rather bad at keeping writings short, my stuff's mostly 1.2k+ words & that's leaving out a lot that can be left out without sabotaging anything too much.
I might start providing AO3 links to a lot of my posts, that will go more in depth compared to what I think works on here length wise.
Base Background
Some things that are usually a standard in my stuff:
As long as it's not necessary, the most amount of chars as possible will be alive - esp if it's a modern AU, don't expect unnecessary orphans.
WWX, in my head, if not specified otherwise, looks like YLP!WWX
Switches.
In a load of my stuff WWX & JC aren't related at all, never were.
The chars vary from canon in varying degrees, depending on the base - as my thing is to handle the trauma, make them grow, etc. Also, because often times the plots either de-traumatizes the chars or they mess with them in different ways.
(this post will not be tagged, it's just a precaution given how heated different parts of the fandom are.)

JC getting small gifts from his disciples on the anniversary of when they joined the sect (maybe in your Rumor has it verse, if you don't mind)
JC Love Month 2020 Day 3
Home in Lotus Pier
Following after BeeTober Day 24
I don’t mind this at all, so have some disciples gifting thoughtful things to JC on the day he saved them and also some JC/JXY bonus ;)
When Jiang Cheng wakes up he’s surprised to find Jiang Xiuying not in bed with him. It causes him to grumble, because Jiang Cheng really prefers to wake up to his love in his bed, but he guesses there is nothing to do about it.
So he gets up, and gets ready for the day alone, same as he normally would—as he did for years before Jiang Xiuying became a fixed point in his routine—but he hates every second of it.
It must be evident in the frown on his face, because when he makes his way to breakfast, people keep out of his way and Jiang Cheng is glad for it.
He had no problem functioning in the morning for the last years, but now that he usually has Jiang Xiuying by his side in the morning he forgot how to be a normal human being without him.
Jiang Cheng is almost ashamed to admit it, but he misses his morning kiss and he is not at all too happy that he has to do without it, apparently.
His angry frown turns into a confused frown when he sits down for breakfast and finds a box next to his bowl of congee.
“What is this?” he asks into the room, because someone is bound to be around, but he doesn’t get an answer and Jiang Cheng heaves out a sigh.
He tugs the box close and opens it and he’s surprised to find that his favourite tea is in it. It’s hard to come by lately, as it is entirely seasonal and only grown in a small spot in Sect Leader Yao’s territory, and after everything that happened at the Cloud Recesses a few months back, he already mentally said goodbye to it.
He wouldn’t be getting any more supplies from Sect Leader Yao after all.
“What is this?” Jiang Cheng asks again, but it’s softer this time, more questioning, and he’s not at all surprised when arms suddenly encircle him from behind.
“Good morning,” Jiang Xiuying says into the skin on his throat and follows it up with a short kiss as well.
“You left me alone,” Jiang Cheng immediately says, entirely aware of how whiny he sounds, and Jiang Xiuying squeezes him.
“I know, and I’m sorry. But there was a problem with Fu Zhihao and she didn’t want to talk to anyone else.”
That immediately makes Jiang Cheng tense.
“What happened?” he asks, already half up in case there is anything he has to do, but Jiang Xiuying pushes him back down.
“She had a flashback or something similar,” Jiang Xiuying tells him. “Woke up terrified out of her mind and Jiang Sushan is out of town as you know. They thought it would be best to call me.”
“Good thinking,” Jiang Cheng says because Jiang Xiuying’s calm presence has helped Jiang Cheng with dealing with volatile demonic cultivators a lot in the past, so he gets that urge.
“How is she now?” Jiang Cheng asks when Jiang Xiuying doesn’t volunteer more information and he shrugs.
“As well as you’d suspect. She remembers where she is now, but the episode left her shaken,” he says and Jiang Cheng nods, because of course it would leave her shaken.
“Anything I can do?” he asks, even though he trusts that Jiang Xiuying would have already told him if there was anything for him to do.
“I trust you to know how stupid that question is,” Jiang Xiuying says, rather predictably, and Jiang Cheng rolls his eyes at him.
It brings his gaze back to the box with tea and Jiang Cheng pulls it close again.
“Do you know where this came from?” he asks Jiang Xiuying, who pouts at him.
“You’re not even asking me for a kiss?” he says and Jiang Cheng feels that is entirely unjustified.
“You’re the one who left before I woke up and who made me get ready without my morning kiss. It only feels fair,” Jiang Cheng gives back and Jiang Xiuying tugs him close, just like Jiang Cheng secretly hoped.
“Duly noted,” Jiang Xiuying whispers right against his lips and then finally brings their lips together.
Jiang Cheng is aware of how cheesy it is, but it’s only then that his day starts to feel right.
“You’re entirely too spoilt,” Jiang Xiuying mutters when they part and Jiang Cheng shrugs, totally unrepentant.
“And whose fault is that?” he wants to know, because it is Jiang Xiuying who spoils Jiang Cheng with his love, and who seems to know that well enough because he doesn’t reply to his question.
“So the tea?” asks again when Jiang Xiuying settled down across from him.
“I’m not sure,” Jiang Xiuying says, which means he damn well knows where this tea comes from but is entirely too unwilling to tell Jiang Cheng.
“Rude,” Jiang Cheng says but he keeps the box close by his side.
It is damn good tea after all.
~*~*~
Jiang Cheng doesn’t entirely forget about the tea, but it goes very far into the back of his mind with how much he has to do.
There are a few of the minor Sects who want to make up for their previous mistakes, so Jiang Cheng hosts them as graciously as he can with a glowering Jiang Xiuying to his right, but he’s glad to see that a few relationships are mended.
When two minor Sect Leaders come by shortly after another, Jiang Cheng is almost too busy to notice the bottle of his favourite alcohol that somehow turns up at dinner.
“Xiuying?” Jiang Cheng calls out when he realizes that it is really the alcohol from a small town in Qinghe and he takes a moment to savour the flagrant smell of it.
“What, my beloved?” Jiang Xiuying says, completely unashamed and Jiang Cheng flushes slightly, like he always does.
It’s kind of a problem, if Jiang Cheng is being honest.
“Stop that,” Jiang Cheng grumbles, and Jiang Xiuying dutifully nods, even though they both know damn well that he will not stop it.
“Where does this alcohol come from?” Jiang Cheng asks to distract himself and Jiang Xiuying smiles before he shrugs.
“From Nie Huaisang maybe?” Jiang Xiuying suggests and Jiang Cheng frowns.
“Unlikely,” he gives back. “He would have given this to me personally, because if there’s a gift from him, there’s also something he wants,” Jiang Cheng says, because Nie Huaisang has never given him anything without a demand.
“I don’t know then,” Jiang Xiuying replies, his tone implying that he does know where it comes from and Jiang Cheng narrows his eyes at him.
“You’re lying to me,” he accuses him and Jiang Xiuying is by his side a second later, pressing an apologizing kiss to the corner of his mouth.
“I promised to keep it a secret, until you figure it out,” Jiang Xiuying explains, and that is a bit better than being outright lied to.
“I see,” Jiang Cheng whispers and pulls the bottle close to pour a cup out for Jiang Xiuying as well.
Jiang Cheng has an inkling of what is happening, especially given the date today, but it doesn’t quite make sense, so he keeps his thoughts to himself.
“You already know,” Jiang Xiuying slowly says but Jiang Cheng shakes his head.
“I suspect,” he corrects and Jiang Xiuying laughs.
“But you don’t trust it,” he says, and Jiang Cheng is surprised to hear a wistful note to his voice, almost as if he’s sad.
“Not yet,” Jiang Cheng says and mentally calculates when the next gift should arrive if his suspicion is right.
He almost hopes it’s not, because he doesn’t understand why that would warrant being given a gift. But he’ll just have to wait and see.
~*~*~
When the next gift arrives, Jiang Cheng is not entirely too surprised, because it goes along with his expectations.
Especially when he sees that it is a small vial of a potent cream Jiang Sushan has developed that soothes the scars on Jiang Cheng’s chest when they act up.
It’s hard to make and Jiang Sushan always loudly declares she doesn’t have the time to make more should Jiang Cheng have even a tiny fraction left but Jiang Cheng knows that Fu Zhihao has been working in the infirmary almost since she came to Lotus Pier.
It’s not entirely impossible that Jiang Sushan taught her how to make the cream. And it’s not entirely impossible that Fu Zhihao took entirely too much time out of her schedule to make it for Jiang Cheng.
“You look unhappy,” Jiang Xiuying rightfully says when he finds Jiang Cheng holding the pot of cream and he comes over to smooth the frown out from Jiang Cheng’s forehead.
“Is this from Fu Zhihao?” Jiang Cheng asks, even though he knows the answer already.
“Maybe,” Jiang Xiuying says with a small shrug and Jiang Cheng sighs.
“This is so stupid,” he complaints. “What is it even for?” he demands to know and Jiang Xiuying levels him with a look.
“Do you really have to ask?” Jiang Xiuying wants to know and Jiang Cheng nods.
“This is so time-consuming to make, I should know, because Jiang Sushan bitches to me about it every single time she has to make it. Fu Zhihao has only been helping Jiang Sushan for the last few months; why would she focus on this, instead of learning some practical things?”
“You are really goddamn stupid sometimes, do you know that?” Jiang Xiuying shoots back and Jiang Cheng pouts at him, because he has found that it is a very effective way to stave off Jiang Xiuying’s ire.
“Do not even start with that,” Jiang Xiuying grumbles but leans in to kiss Jiang Cheng, just like he had hoped. “You truly are spoilt.”
“By you,” Jiang Cheng gives back and threads their fingers together, because Jiang Xiuying is close enough and because he can.
Jiang Cheng has half a mind to go and find Fu Zhihao to ask her why she feels the need to make this, but he figures it might not be the best idea.
Fu Zhihao is still skittish, doesn’t trust anyone but Jiang Sushan and Jiang Xiuying, though she doesn’t seem to mind Jiang Cheng much, but Jiang Cheng still thinks it would be a bas idea to go there and question her.
And besides, if he is right about this, then the next gift should show up in a few days and it should be from Jiang Xiuying who he can question that much more easily.
For once in his life, Jiang Cheng decides to wait.
~*~*~
Jiang Cheng realizes his mistake when he wakes up to beautiful red wedding robes on his bed. Jiang Cheng’s breath catches as soon as his eyes fall on them, and Jiang Xiuying takes the opportunity to slide back into bed behind him, and hug him to his chest.
“Good morning,” Jiang Xiuying whispers and peppers kisses over Jiang Cheng’s shoulders, even as Jiang Cheng reaches out with a shaking hand to touch the robes.
“What is this?” Jiang Cheng asks, his voice trembling and Jiang Xiuying huffs out a laugh into Jiang Cheng’s neck.
“I trust you to be more clever than this,” Jiang Xiuying says and Jiang Cheng cranes his head to look around to Jiang Xiuying.
“Why? Why today of all days?” Jiang Cheng asks because that he doesn’t understand.
“What better day than today?” Jiang Xiuying shoots back and Jiang Cheng breaks out of his arms to turn fully around to him.
“You do know the significance of the dates,” Jiang Xiuying says when Jiang Cheng stays silent and Jiang Cheng shakes his head.
“I know the dates, but I don’t understand.”
“What’s there not to understand?” Jiang Xiuying asks, his whole face going soft in a way that Jiang Cheng is entirely too weak against. “Tell me.”
“The first gift was from Luo Ganting,” Jiang Cheng starts and it makes sense, that he would get that tea for Jiang Cheng, because after the whole thing at the Cloud Recesses, he reconciled with his sister, as far as Jiang Cheng knows.
“The alcohol came from Zhou Nuan,” Jiang Cheng goes on.
Zhou Nuan is one of the few Nie disciples that turned to demonic cultivation and that Jiang Cheng reached soon enough to save her.
“The cream is from Fu Zhihao and the robes are from you,” Jiang Cheng finishes with a whisper and he reaches out for the robes again.
“I just don’t understand why,” Jiang Cheng admits.
“But you do know the dates,” Jiang Xiuying says again, and of course Jiang Cheng knows the dates so he nods.
“It’s the dates I found you, when I took you to Lotus Pier,” Jiang Cheng confidently says, but he frowns when Jiang Xiuying shakes his head.
“No, this is where you’re wrong,” he says and pulls Jiang Cheng into his embrace again. “It’s the dates you took us home,” he says with emphasis.
And this, Jiang Cheng doesn’t understand.
“Those were the worst days of your lives,” he argues. “I really shouldn’t be getting gifts for this.”
“Those days are the start of our new lives,” Jiang Xiuying gives back and presses a kiss to Jiang Cheng’s temple. “We nearly died on those days, yes, and it was objectively the worst, but then you saved us, and you took us home with you. You gave us a home, and so those days also mark the starts of our new lives. Our lives as your disciples. And that, my beloved, is something to celebrate.”
“You are all so sentimental,” Jiang Cheng sighs out but he has to bite back some tears as well.
“You’re one to talk,” Jiang Xiuying chides him. “You’re the one who remembers when all of us came to your Sect.”
Jiang Cheng has nothing to say to that, because Jiang Xiuying is right, after all. He remembers all of the dates.
But it still leaves one question.
“So, what is this?” Jiang Cheng asks, leans more firmly back against Jiang Xiuying, and he tugs the robes close.
They are exquisitely made, Jiang Cheng knows enough about clothes to know that, and Jiang Xiuying huffs out an annoyed breath.
“Really? You really have to ask that?”
“Well, I don’t want to reach the wrong conclusions,” Jiang Cheng says with a small smile and Jiang Xiuying warningly squeezes him.
“What wrong conclusion could there possibly be?” Jiang Xiuying demands to know and Jiang Cheng slightly turns to smirk at Jiang Xiuying.
“You could always be asking for my blessing as a Sect Leader to marry someone else,” Jiang Cheng says, and the words don’t even hurt that much, because Jiang Cheng is not so insecure to think that they are the truth.
Jiang Xiuying is probably going to have his head for even daring to suggest this and going by the angry flush he can see on Jiang Xiuying’s cheeks, he’s not that far off.
“Sure, I usually am in the Sect Leader’s bed to beg for some blessing,” Jiang Xiuying bitingly gives back and then he deflates. “Don’t be stupid, my beloved,” he whispers.
“I’m not,” Jiang Cheng reassures him. “I just maybe want to hear you say it,” he then admits and puts his hands on top of Jiang Xiuying’s. “Indulge me?”
“Always,” Jiang Xiuying says and presses a kiss to the soft skin under Jiang Cheng’s ear. “My beloved, will you marry me?” Jiang Xiuying then asks without hesitation or sweet words and Jiang Cheng turns around in his arms at that, straddling his fiancé and he puts his arms around Jiang Xiuying’s neck.
“Yes,” Jiang Cheng tells him and then immediately leans in for a kiss.
There is not much to say between them after that, and they are too busy trading kisses to even think of something anyway.
The red robes get a little bit wrinkled that day, but it’s not as bad as it will be on their wedding day, Jiang Cheng is sure of that. And he’s definitely looking forward to that.

By absence of communication, I mean in MDZS, when WWX says he kept giving his GC a secret later on bc after JYL or JXY death, it would sound too much like an excuse (to JC, who blames him). And why does JC even want WWX back, to berate him endlessly? All the things he resents WWX for haven't changed after the core reveal and we have seen pre-death how much they don't work together in a sect and how WWX slowly collecting debts on JC behalf and being left alone to pay them lead to WWX downfall.
Yeah. If WWX told JC he’d given him his golden core after things went south JC wouldn’t have accepted it, so WWX just... kept it to himself. And I’m pretty sure JC does want WWX back so he can berate him endlessly, and also put his genius to work for the Jiang sect; quite possibly JC has realized over the intervening years just how much work WWX did to keep the sect running that JC now has to do himself. JC doesn’t care if it would make WWX miserable to be trapped by guilt and debts and resented by the only family he has left, or even if it eventually led to WWX’s death (again); he wants WWX around for the Jiang sect to use, so WWX will just have to suck it up!

JYL is part of Bingge's harem 18: MBJ snidely asks JC if he knew this was going to happen and came with Bingge to wait for the 'right' moment to stab Bingge in the back. JC instantly denies this, saying that he couldn't understand what JL was thinking. JC is more worried for JL's safety than ever. He knows there's no point in asking Bingge to leave JL alone since JXY and WWX being people JYL cared for didn't stop Bingge from killing them. Abruptly, JYL suggests that Bingge bring (kidnap) JL so

nellethiel-aranel ha risposto al tuo post “One of the weirdest argument i've seen from Jonerys fans is that " Jon...”
I have never seen anything against Ygritte or her relationship with Jon in the Jonerys tags. Not saying it doesn't happen, but I really don't think this a widespread thing. Most Jonerys fans seem to agree that the relationships Jon and Dany had before are important to whatever relationship they end up having with each other.
eeeeeh I’ve seen that on the jon/ygritte tag tho ^^’ I mean it wasn’t too many posts but... THERE’S A LOT and actually there were a few people post kit/rose’s engagement which were.... something XD (I mean the one time I actually argued about it wasn’t because they said it was abusive but someone was bitching that someone into j/y didn’t like j/d and was being an ass to them on the untagged post but still it was nasty-ish) I can’t find that post but basically it was people saying the wedding was a hoax or that they hated that kit kept on defending j/y’s ‘horrible abusive relationship’ and the likes, and like... guys leave us alone but like the anon mentioned jon/erys but I’ve seen that also from the OTHER ship’s camp especially the one time they compared it with the abusive aspects of jc X°D like I’m fairly equal opportunities when it comes to sighing about people having decided j/y is abusive but I know it’s not most of any shippers, it’s just that 90% of the time is on the jxy tag and like it’s already not that big let us suffer xD

BeeTober 2020 Day 24
Devotion - Gather
Finally, the long awaited part for Jiang Cheng/Jiang Xiuying, following right after Resolve, because who is more devoted to Jiang Cheng than Jiang Xiuying? No one, that's who.
Jiang Cheng isn’t entirely sure how they get back to Lotus Pier, but this time there was no incentive for him to stay awake.
Jiang Xiuying’s grip on him was steady and sure and Jiang Cheng knows he would never let him fall or make fun of him for drifting off and so Jiang Cheng did just that.
Well, it seems like he fell asleep completely, because he wakes up in his own bed and going by the light outside it must be a new day already.
“Fuck,” Jiang Cheng mutters and when his shoulder twinges he looks down at it.
Someone took the liberty of changing him out of his soiled clothes and there’s a new bandage around his shoulder which is clearly Jiang Shushan’s handiwork and Jiang Cheng puts a hand to his throbbing shoulder.
It’s probably not as bad as it could have been but it still hurts like a bitch.
Jiang Cheng slowly gets up, exhaustion still weighing him down, but he shrugs on a robe. And not a second too early, because Jiang Xiuying comes into his room without even knocking.
He seems furious and Jiang Cheng blinks at him.
“What?” he asks, because for once he is in no immediate danger of being murdered by the other Sects and Jiang Cheng really doesn’t think that look is fair.
“You absolute asshole,” Jiang Xiuying hisses at him and Jiang Cheng knows that if he wasn’t injured Jiang Xiuying would try to slap him over the head or shake him until he sees sense.
“What? What did I do now?” Jiang Cheng wants to know because he was asleep! There is no way he could have done something to upset Jiang Xiuying like this!
“I don’t even know where to start,” Jiang Xiuying says and starts to pace Jiang Cheng’s room, without giving any thought to the fact that this is Jiang Cheng’s bedroom and he really shouldn’t be here.
Well, Jiang Cheng is not going to say that to him, because with the mood Jiang Xiuying is in right now it wouldn’t go over well for Jiang Cheng, Sect Leader or not. Not that he actually cares anyway.
It’s Jiang Xiuying after all.
“You knocked me out,” Jiang Xiuying starts and Jiang Cheng winces.
He knows that tone of voice. This might take a while.
“You went into a trap without sufficient backup, you got injured, you still didn’t speak up when everyone was demanding your death, you gave me Zidian without my knowledge, you clearly wanted to stop us from defending your good name even though you could have been killed and then you had the audacity to lose consciousness before I could yell at you!” Jiang Xiuying yells at him now and Jiang Cheng only blinks at him.
“I’m alright now,” he then tries, but going by the look on Jiang Xiuying’s face that doesn’t matter much to him.
“Jiang Cheng, I swear to the gods, if you ever pull a stunt like this again, I will murder you personally,” Jiang Xiuying tells him and there’s a break in his voice that Jiang Cheng hates to hear.
It means Jiang Xiuying is this close to breaking down and Jiang Cheng promised himself a long time ago that he would make sure that Jiang Xiuying never has a reason to sound like this again.
Seems like he failed that one spectacularly.
“Xiuying,” Jiang Cheng softly says and holds a hand out for him. “I’m alright. I survived,” Jiang Cheng goes on and it only takes Jiang Xiuying a second before he reaches out for Jiang Cheng’s hand.
“But you very nearly didn’t,” Jiang Xiuying says and he sounds all choked up.
If he doesn’t get a grip on himself, then Jiang Cheng might just start crying right along with him, he just knows it, and wouldn’t that be a picture.
The fearsome Sandu Shengshou and his trusted right hand both crying like kids.
“But I did,” Jiang Cheng says again and squeezes Jiang Xiuying’s hand and hopes the reassurance that Jiang Cheng is still right there is helping him at least a little bit. “I am alive.”
“You’re an asshole is what you are,” Jiang Xiuying mutters and Jiang Cheng dares to smile a little bit at him.
He sounds better already. Which probably doesn’t bode well for Jiang Cheng, but he would rather have Jiang Xiuying yell at him than have him break down crying.
“Xiuying, are you alright?” Jiang Cheng asks after a moment of silence and Jiang Xiuying gives him the most outraged look he has ever seen on his face.
“Are you stupid? Why would you ask me that?” he wants to know and Jiang Cheng sighs.
“You stood up to the Lans. You had to use your old name. You even brought the ribbon. I’m just concerned that it might have affected you more than you let on,” Jiang Cheng explains and he sees when Jiang Xiuying goes soft at his words.
Sadly, it only last for a second, before he’s back to glaring at Jiang Cheng.
“You know what? No, I’m not okay,” Jiang Xiuying says and Jiang Cheng’s worry for him instantly doubles.
Jiang Cheng wishes it was something physical that upset Jiang Xiuying if just so that he could gather the troops and fight whatever it is that puts that look on Jiang Xiuying’s face.
But Jiang Cheng knows that this time it’s his own fault and the guilt he feels about that is immense.
“I’m sorry,” Jiang Cheng lowly says and is not prepared for it when Jiang Xiuying let’s go of his hand.
“Do you even know what you should be sorry for?” he asks and Jiang Cheng shrugs helplessly, even though the wound in his shoulder reminds him that he really shouldn’t be doing that.
“For putting you into that position. I swore to protect you, to keep you from harm, and then you had to take a stand against your former Sect. I’m sorry.”
Jiang Xiuying blinks a few times at him and then he groans.
“You’re so goddamn stupid,” he hisses at Jiang Cheng, who is honestly taken aback by his reaction. “What from my earlier rant made you think that this is something you should apologize for? You have so many other options, why not apologize for something that really upsets me?” Jiang Xiuying demands to know and Jiang Cheng looks down at his hands.
His gaze falls on Zidian and he remembers the hissed threat Jiang Xiuying gave him when they were still back in the Cloud Recesses.
“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you about Zidian,” Jiang Cheng starts and is not prepared to see how the fight instantly leaves Jiang Xiuying.
“It’s your mother’s weapon,” he says and he almost sounds desperate. “It’s your family heirloom. Why the hell would you give it to me?” he wants to know and Jiang Cheng doesn’t like to notice the confused tone to his voice.
As if Jiang Xiuying doesn’t understand that Jiang Cheng would do anything to keep him safe.
“I wanted to keep you safe,” Jiang Cheng says, because clearly it needs to be put into words and he is not prepared for the look Jiang Xiuying gives him.
“Why don’t you ever think to keep yourself safe?” he asks in return and Jiang Cheng doesn’t have a good answer for that.
He doubts telling Jiang Xiuying that he would very willingly give his life to protect him would go over well right now.
“It’s not permanent,” Jiang Cheng instead tries. “I’m still its master. But if something should happen to me, or if you’re in danger, you can call on it.”
“Jiang Cheng,” Jiang Xiuying says and scrubs a hand over his face. “When will you finally realize that it’s our job as your disciples to protect you? And not the other way around?”
“Because it’s not true,” Jiang Cheng gives back. “Especially not in your case. You were always there to keep me from becoming the monster they all accused me of being. What would I even do without you?”
Jiang Xiuying stops completely, simply freezes where he stands and Jiang Cheng is pretty sure that’s a bad sign.
“I kept you—” Jiang Xiuying starts and then cuts himself off. “Jiang Cheng, you literally found me practicing demonic cultivation. If one of us kept the other from becoming a monster then it’s you keeping me from becoming that!”
“I never saw it that way,” Jiang Cheng admits. “You were desperate and life pushed you into a corner. Of course you would fight for a way out. You were always stronger than anyone else I know,” Jiang Cheng softly says and he is not at all prepared for the way Jiang Xiuying kneels down before him.
Jiang Xiuying takes his hands in his and then he bows until his forehead touches the back of Jiang Cheng’s hands.
“Please don’t say that,” Jiang Xiuying says, and there’s the hated break in his voice again.
Jiang Cheng really needs to come up with some form of punishment for himself for making Jiang Xiuying sound like this two times during this conversation.
“None of us would have survived if you were even a little less strong,” Jiang Xiuying whispers. “You were the only thing that kept us grounded for the first months here, I know that’s true for everyone. We had nothing but a bad past and your promise that you would give us a home, but finding a place here, learning to call it a home, that took time. It’s only you that kept us tethered during that time and it wouldn’t have worked if you weren’t as strong as you are,” Jiang Xiuying tells him and Jiang Cheng can feel how his eyes burn at his words.
“Xiuying,” Jiang Cheng tries but Jiang Xiuying shakes his head.
“Don’t you understand? This Sect—and we—would be nothing without you. You’re shouldering everything and there is no one who is stronger than you are.”
“You’re shouldering half of my shit as well,” Jiang Cheng gets out, voice choked up himself now, and he would feel uncomfortable with that level of emotional display if it were anyone else.
But Jiang Cheng finds that since it’s Jiang Xiuying, it’s okay.
“At least when you let me,” Jiang Xiuying gives back and Jiang Cheng has to laugh softly at that, because he’s right.
He tries to do most of the things himself, because he doesn’t want to burden Jiang Xiuying any further.
“You relying on me has never been a burden,” Jiang Xiuying says, and fuck, he knows Jiang Cheng far too well if he knows where his thoughts turned to. “Has it been a burden when I rely on you?” Jiang Xiuying asks and Jiang Cheng retracts one of his hands, but only so that he can cup Jiang Xiuying’s cheek in it.
“Never, Xiuying,” he promises him and he is startled to see tears in Jiang Xiuying’s eyes.
“Then why won’t you share your burden with me?” Jiang Xiuying asks and Jiang Cheng shrugs helplessly, though he’s careful to keep it to his uninjured shoulder this time.
“It’s not supposed to be like that, Xiuying. My job is to keep you safe and as happy and content as I can. Sharing my burdens with you is not how it’s supposed to,” Jiang Cheng gently says, but he can tell that Jiang Xiuying is going to argue with him about that.
There’s a certain stubborn tilt to his mouth that sadly, Jiang Cheng is far too familiar with. And it always spells trouble for him.
“Maybe you’ll think differently when you hold this then,” Jiang Xiuying says and puts his forehead ribbon into Jiang Cheng’s hands.
Jiang Cheng tries to pull his hands away, but Jiang Xiuying keeps them where they are and he closes Jiang Cheng’s finger around it.
Jiang Cheng isn’t completely sure what this means, because Jiang Xiuying broke with the Lan Sect and their traditions a long time ago, but his heart is beating faster nonetheless.
“What are you doing?” he whispers, turning his eyes towards Jiang Xiuying, who gives him a soft smile.
“I’m putting my heart in your hands,” Jiang Xiuying tells him and Jiang Cheng’s own heart misses a few beats.
“What?” he mutters because he doesn’t quite understand.
This is something Jiang Cheng hasn’t allowed himself to think about for years now and he is not processing this well.
“Why?” Jiang Cheng finally gets out, his fingers trembling around the soft silk of the ribbon.
“Because you’re not taking care of yourself,” Jiang Xiuying tells him. “Maybe if you have my heart you’ll take better care. If you hurt yourself, you’re hurting me as well, after all,” Jiang Xiuying explains and Jiang Cheng shakes his head.
“But that’s not fair at all,” Jiang Cheng says before Jiang Xiuying’s face can fall. “Then what is there to motivate you to take care of yourself?”
“Do I not have your heart?” Jiang Xiuying asks him and he doesn’t sound unsure about this at all.
He sounds like he has known for a long time that he carries Jiang Cheng’s heart with him wherever he goes.
“Of course you do,” Jiang Cheng gets out, his voice strangled, and his stomach does a flip when Jiang Xiuying smiles at him.
“So we share the same burden,” Jiang Xiuying says with a nod. “Keeping the heart of our beloved safe. Won’t you take good care of my heart?”
“Xiuying,” Jiang Cheng almost sobs out because is not something he ever allowed himself to think of and now it’s Jiang Xiuying who cups his cheek in his hand.
“I know,” he softly reassures him as he brings their foreheads together. “I’ve known for a while. You’re not very subtle when you love.”
“Xiuying,” Jiang Cheng says again, this time with more vehemence, and he brings his hand up to grab Jiang Xiuying’s wrist. “This is not something you have to do out of gratitude,” he then says, because this was always what Jiang Cheng was afraid of.
That he abuses his position of power over those he vowed to protect and he would rather kill himself than let this happen if that is what Jiang Xiuying thinks.
“You’re so stupid,” Jiang Xiuying whispers, and it sounds more like a compliment than an insult but before Jiang Cheng can comprehend that, Jiang Xiuying presses their lips together.
“This is not out of gratitude,” Jiang Xiuying says when they part and Jiang Cheng barely hears him with how the blood rushes in his ears.
He wants to lean back in immediately. He denied himself this for so long, and now that Jiang Xiuying started this, it doesn’t feel like Jiang Cheng can ever stop.
“I’m doing this out of devotion. Because I love you.”
There is no hesitation in his voice, no doubt or insecurity and it’s that more than his actual words that make Jiang Cheng believe it.
“I love you, too,” Jiang Cheng gives back, even though he’s sure Jiang Xiuying knows that by now and he’s rewarded with another kiss.
This might already be incentive enough for Jiang Cheng to take good care of himself, because he might get addicted to this rather quickly.
When they part this time, there’s a familiar twinkle in Jiang Xiuying’s eyes and Jiang Cheng groans.
“Let me guess,” Jiang Cheng says with a sigh. “We’re still going to talk about all the other points you mentioned earlier.”
“You know me so well,” Jiang Xiuying grins at him and kisses the corner of Jiang Cheng’s mouth. “And I am going to yell at you some more and you’ll lie straight to my face that you will never do it again. Like always. But then I’m going to kiss you, because I can now, and you’ll say that you’ll never do it again with much more sincerity,” Jiang Xiuying tells him. “And that time, I might even believe you.”
“Okay,” Jiang Cheng agrees, because if he’s being honest, he only heard the promise of more kisses and Jiang Xiuying shakes his head at him.
“Later,” he decides and pushes Jiang Cheng back into bed. “For now you need some more rest, otherwise it won’t make any fun.”
“You’re a menace,” Jiang Cheng grumbles, but lays down when Jiang Xiuying lightly pushes on his shoulder.
“And you love me for it,” Jiang Xiuying says.
“Mh,” Jiang Cheng agrees and then decides that if he’s being yelled at later, he deserves some comfort now.
“Sleep now, yelling later,” he decides and Jiang Xiuying let’s out a long breath as he puts his hand on Jiang Cheng’s chest, right over his heart.
So he reaches out to tug Jiang Xiuying down with him, and he’s not at all surprised when he comes more than easily. Jiang Xiuying fits into Jiang Cheng’s side like he was made for that place—like Jiang Cheng always secretly hoped he would—and Jiang Cheng presses a kiss to his forehead.
“Okay,” he agrees and it’s the last thing Jiang Cheng hears before he drifts off to sleep.
Link to my ko-fi on the sidebar!
(He wakes up much, much later to soft kisses, followed by a lot of yelling, and even softer kisses. Jiang Cheng figures if that is his life now, then he is one of the luckiest people alive.

I just dreamt about how well Jiang Xiuying will take LWJ's accusations against JC. The answer is not at all. JXY was wielding Zidian, LWJ was bleeding.
Don't know if this will happen in the fic but wow. JXY has much love for his sect leader 😍

JC Love Month 2020 Day 15
Awareness
Day 15 of JC Love Month brings some nsfw sexy times for Jiang Cheng and Jiang Xiuying, who get to spend an entire morning in bed, doting on each other and finally taking all the time they want. This plays after Home in Lotus Pier yes, JXY might have proposed before they had their first time.
Awareness is slow to come to Jiang Cheng, mostly because he doesn’t want to be aware. He’s warm and comfortable and Jiang Xiuying is bound to be still around and that is really all Jiang Cheng needs in life.
But then there’s an open mouthed kiss to the hinge of his jaw, Jiang Xiuying slowly trailing his way down Jiang Cheng’s throat, and it’s enough to get Jiang Cheng’s eyes open, however reluctant he might be.
Jiang Xiuying seemingly knows him better than Jiang Cheng does himself because he is already looking up at Jiang Cheng, his eyes sparkling and a teasing grin on his lips.
“Good morning,” Jiang Cheng says, his voice still rough from sleep and Jiang Xiuying leans up to capture Jiang Cheng’s lips in a kiss.
The heat behind it tells Jiang Cheng exactly where Jiang Xiuying wants to take this today, and Jiang Cheng can’t say that he minds too much.
Except for all the things he has to do, still.
“Really?” Jiang Cheng pants when they finally part and Jiang Xiuying nibbles at his chin.
“Really,” he agrees and Jiang Cheng sighs.
“I can’t. You know Sect Leader Yao is going to come by today,” Jiang Cheng regretfully tells him and Jiang Xiuying pulls slightly away from him.
Jiang Cheng immediately regrets saying anything at all, because he instantly misses his warmth.
“Then let him wait,” Jiang Xiuying says, clearly not too sorry about it and Jiang Cheng huffs out a laugh.
“That’s not very nice,” Jiang Cheng gives back, even though he’s inclined to just agree with Jiang Xiuying, especially after everything that happened.
But Sect Leader Yao has written him letter after letter, claiming his sincere wish to apologize, and while Jiang Cheng couldn’t care less about that, he might want to see Sect Leader Yao grovel.
“He invited himself, which is the peak of rudeness,” Jiang Xiuying whispers against Jiang Cheng’s ear and a shudder makes its way down Jiang Cheng’s back. “So let him wait until the afternoon to show him that he can’t just drop by as he pleases.”
“Is that my partner speaking or my second in command?” Jiang Cheng wants to know and Jiang Xiuying hides his laugh in Jiang Cheng’s neck.
It makes Jiang Cheng feel incredibly fond of him.
“For once, those two are in agreement,” Jiang Xiuying whispers, dropping tiny kisses to Jiang Cheng’s neck and working his way up again until his lips reach Jiang Cheng’s once more.
“Now, do you want to talk more about Sect Leader Yao or do you maybe want to do something else?” Jiang Xiuying asks, a wicked gleam in his eyes, and Jiang Cheng definitely knows the answer to that, but his sense of duty wins out once more.
“I have other responsibilities,” he tries to argue but Jiang Xiuying only rolls his eyes at him.
“If those don’t include staying in bed for the morning, I don’t want to hear it,” he says, peppering Jiang Cheng’s face with kisses. “I gave you the morning off.”
“My, what a dedicated right hand I have,” Jiang Cheng breathes out, desperately wishing for Jiang Xiuying’s lips on his again.
“That you do, my Sect Leader,” Jiang Xiuying gives back and while it’s not quite a thing for Jiang Cheng he can’t deny that hearing it from Jiang Xiuying like that, paired with the heated look he gets, certainly does things to Jiang Cheng.
But two can play that game.
“I really do,” Jiang Cheng softly whispers and cups Jiang Xiuying’s cheek in his hand. “I really do, my love,” he says and watches with no small amount of amusement how Jiang Xiuying goes red in the face.
Jiang Cheng is not the only one affected by endearments and he never misses an opportunity to make Jiang Xiuying remember that.
Instead of replying, Jiang Xiuying shuts him up with a biting kiss, and Jiang Cheng figures it’s a very valid response.
They get lost in the kisses for a while, but clearly Jiang Xiuying has a plan for today, so eventually he breaks the kiss, only to move his way down to Jiang Cheng’s chest, leaving a trail of kisses on his skin.
Jiang Cheng is not quite ashamed of the scars on his chest, but he still gets nervous when Jiang Xiuying starts to undo his sleeping robes, even though he has seen them more than once already.
Jiang Xiuying seems to know it, too, because he reverently strokes his thumb over the thickest of the lot on Jiang Cheng’s chest and then he simply leans down and makes a point to kiss each and every inch of them.
He’s almost aggressive in the way he kisses his love into Jiang Cheng’s skin and it certainly warms Jiang Cheng’s—well, everything if he’s being honest.
Jiang Xiuying is by no means oblivious to Jiang Cheng’s growing hardness, and he only gives Jiang Cheng another wicked look before he moves further down Jiang Cheng’s body, parting the robe in the process and leaving a trail of hot kisses behind.
A trail that has only one obvious destination and Jiang Cheng groans with just the thought of it.
They haven’t gone quite that far yet; rushed hand-jobs and frantically rubbing off against each other are everything they had time for yet, and Jiang Cheng feels like he’s going to burn up with the knowledge that this morning, they have all the time in the world.
And it seems like Jiang Xiuying is going to make very good use of that time.
He doesn’t linger, doesn’t tease Jiang Cheng at all, only gives him a few strokes to get him to full hardness, before he simply takes him into his mouth.
Jiang Cheng barely has the awareness to not buck up like he wants to, afraid he’ll choke Jiang Xiuying, so instead he grips the sheets tight and lets out a sigh that sounds more like a groan even to his own ears.
He would be embarrassed about it, if Jiang Xiuying didn’t choose that moment to thread their fingers together and give him a slight squeeze.
It’s obvious they haven’t done this yet when Jiang Xiuying takes a few minutes to simply explore and find out what movements make Jiang Cheng’s breath hitch, what makes his hips stutter and he seems particularly self-satisfied when he makes Jiang Cheng bite back a colourful curse.
But soon enough Jiang Xiuying clearly gains confidence and his movements become more determined; Jiang Cheng feels like he’s going to burn up when he sees how Jiang Xiuying’s head bobs up and down and he has to tear his eyes away or he would probably only embarrass himself.
Jiang Cheng soon notices his mistake, because with his eyes closed he has only Jiang Xiuying’s touch and his mouth—and that wicked, wicked tongue—to focus on and heat pools very rapidly in Jiang Cheng’s stomach.
“Stop, stop,” Jiang Cheng pants and Jiang Xiuying’s eyes fly open as if he’s concerned that he hurt Jiang Cheng. “Get up here, come on,” Jiang Cheng urges him, his orgasm impending and he’s not at all ready to be done for today.
Jiang Xiuying seems to understand what’s going on now and he moves off, slowly, lingering, his tongue lazily dragging along, and it’s almost worse than what he did before.
“For fuck’s sake,” Jiang Cheng mutters under his breath, his hips moving on their own accord and when Jiang Cheng thinks he can’t take it anymore, he simply reaches down to pull Jiang Xiuying up again.
“You goddamn tease,” he accuses, right before he kisses the smile off Jiang Xiuying’s lips and Jiang Cheng very decidedly gives his best not to think about the fact that he’s probably tasting himself.
Because Jiang Xiuying just did that.
“It wasn’t my plan to tease at all,” Jiang Xiuying says, his voice rough in a way that makes Jiang Cheng nearly go mad with want, and he nips at Jiang Cheng’s lip.
“I fully intended to see this through to the end,” Jiang Xiuying whispers against his lips but Jiang Cheng shakes his head.
“I have different plans,” he says, because suddenly the thought that they should stop there is unbearable to Jiang Cheng.
He wants to feel Jiang Xiuying inside him, wants to experience that with him, and when Jiang Cheng pulls Jiang Xiuying into another kiss he hopes he can convey all of that without actually using his words.
But Jiang Xiuying seems to understand him better than Jiang Cheng thinks, because when they part, breathing heavily after their kiss, he produces a small vial of oil from somewhere.
“You really came prepared, huh?” Jiang Cheng huffs out, laughing slightly and Jiang Xiuying kisses the corner of his eyes.
“I did not clear your entire morning just to kiss,” he whispers against Jiang Cheng’s skin and when it startles a laugh out of Jiang Cheng he laughs along with him and Jiang Cheng loves him so much he can barely breathe with it.
“I love you,” he says, because Jiang Xiuying needs to know and when Jiang Xiuying’s face goes all soft, Jiang Cheng melts at the sight.
“I love you,” Jiang Xiuying gives back and leans in for another kiss, this one slow and deep and it makes heat stir up in Jiang Cheng’s belly.
It feels like he’s going to burn up if Jiang Xiuying doesn’t move on, soon, even as Jiang Cheng slides Jiang Xiuying’s robe from his shoulder and drags him even closer.
And again, Jiang Xiuying seems to read his thoughts, because Jiang Cheng distantly hears how he uncorks the vial without breaking the kiss.
Jiang Cheng gets lost in the kiss again, and so when Jiang Xiuying’s finger touches his entrance he startles slightly.
“Okay?” Jiang Xiuying asks, clearly prepared to pull away completely and Jiang Cheng only kisses him in answer.
“I take that as a yes,” Jiang Xiuying mumbles against his lips and then Jiang Cheng arches his back when he presses one finger inside.
Jiang Xiuying takes his time with opening Jiang Cheng up, takes his time to add the second and finally the third finger, but his fingers are relentless and nearly driving Jiang Cheng out of his mind.
He does arch off the bed when Jiang Xiuying finds a particularly sensitive spot and Jiang Cheng should have known that Jiang Xiuying would take advantage of that, because he makes sure to hit it every time after that.
“Xiuying, please, please,” Jiang Cheng eventually pants, squirming on the bed with how good it feels, and he needs Jiang Xiuying inside of him like right now.
“Patience, my beloved,” Jiang Xiuying tells him, pressing a kiss to Jiang Cheng’s hip and then making his way up to Jiang Cheng’s throat where he worries the skin with his teeth and Jiang Cheng hopes it will leave a mark.
And all the while his fingers continue to move, continue to drive Jiang Cheng insane with his need and want and Jiang Cheng frames Jiang Xiuying’s face with his hands.
“I’m ready,” he tells him firmly—as firmly as he can, with Jiang Xiuying’s fingers pressing into that spot—and Jiang Xiuying licks his lips.
“Sure?” he asks but when Jiang Cheng frantically nods he huffs out a laugh. “Alright then,” he says and carefully extracts his fingers, leaving Jiang Cheng feeling bereft but it doesn’t last long, because the next thing Jiang Cheng knows is Jiang Xiuying pressing inside.
It’s intense because he’s much bigger than just three of his fingers, but Jiang Cheng breathes through it and Jiang Xiuying takes it slow.
It feels like an eternity, like it might never fit, like it might never end, but between one blink and the next Jiang Xiuying bottomed out and Jiang Cheng slowly releases a breath.
“Good?” Jiang Xiuying asks, carefully keeping still and Jiang Cheng reaches up to pull him into a kiss again.
“Good,” he agrees. “And now move,” he then orders him, startling a huff out of Jiang Xiuying, but he does as Jiang Cheng ordered.
It’s good, so damn good, better than Jiang Cheng ever imagined it could be, and he has to press his face into Jiang Xiuying’s neck to steady himself.
His pleasure is swiftly building up and Jiang Cheng already knows that this won’t last as long as he wants it to but when Jiang Xiuying presses his lips against Jiang Cheng’s temple, muttering his love into his skin, Jiang Cheng figures it doesn’t matter.
“I’m close,” Jiang Cheng whispers and Jiang Xiuying only hums, his hips not faltering for even a second, even mumbling encouragement into Jiang Cheng’s temple.
Jiang Cheng’s pleasure builds and builds and when Jiang Cheng thinks he cannot possibly take anymore, Jiang Xiuying twists his hips in a certain way and Jiang Cheng comes, just like that.
He clings to Jiang Xiuying, shuddering against him as his release paints Jiang Xiuying’s stomach white and it’s not long after that Jiang Xiuying stiffens against him as well, and Jiang Cheng likes to imagine that he can feel Jiang Xiuying’s release filling him.
Jiang Cheng feels oversensitive, like every move could be too much, especially when Jiang Xiuying still moves his hips in aborted jerks, but he has to kiss Jiang Xiuying right now or he’ll drown in all his love.
So Jiang Cheng moves away from Jiang Xiuying’s neck and searches for his lips. They are both rather uncoordinated but it makes the kiss that much sweeter in Jiang Cheng’s opinion and Jiang Xiuying seems to think the same, because Jiang Cheng can feel him smile against his lips.
They trade lazy kisses for a while, until Jiang Cheng becomes too sore and uncomfortable and Jiang Xiuying presses an apologetic kiss to his cheek as he pulls out.
It’s not a very comfortable feeling Jiang Cheng finds, but Jiang Xiuying chases the discomfort away with his kisses and Jiang Cheng gladly falls into that comfort.
“Mh, that was good,” Jiang Cheng mutters when he feels like he can form words again, and Jiang Xiuying gives him an exaggerated affronted look.
“Just good?” he asks, his voice just barely unstable and Jiang Cheng slings his arms around his neck to bring him close again.
“It was fucking perfect,” Jiang Cheng corrects himself and Jiang Xiuying hums.
“Better,” he says and kisses Jiang Cheng again and again. “But if you think you can do better than that, you’re very welcome to fuck me next time,” he almost offhandedly says between kisses and Jiang Cheng goes hot all over.
He didn’t know he might want that, but now that the image is in his head he can’t get rid of it.
“Sect Leader Yao certainly can wait for a while longer,” Jiang Cheng decides and laughs when Jiang Xiuying groans and drops his head to his shoulder.
“I was enjoying my afterglow here,” he complaints and Jiang Cheng presses an apologetic kiss to his neck.
“We should enjoy that a while longer,” Jiang Cheng decides and reaches for his discarded robe to wipe Jiang Xiuying’s stomach clean and then he swiftly drags it over between his legs, too. “Move over,” he then says when he dropped it off the side of the bed, and pushes Jiang Xiuying into the bed so that he can curl up into his side.
It’s his favourite place to be, Jiang Cheng has found, with Jiang Xiuying’s arm securely around his back, and it’s the only place Jiang Cheng wants to be in that second.
“I love you,” Jiang Xiuying says, and Jiang Cheng will never tire of hearing it, he knows that already.
“I love you, too,” Jiang Cheng says, craning his head up to demand another kiss, one that Jiang Xiuying very willingly gives to him.
They trade soft kisses for a while, until they taper off when both of them get drowsy, and Jiang Cheng has to admit that this was the perfect morning.
And it will turn into the perfect day, when they wake up and Jiang Cheng returns the favour.
