OH, I FORGOT TO SHARE:

(Quick background context: one of my characters, Seren, has a girlfriend who’s an NPC that my DM had me make a sheet for when we first started playing, off the off chance she ever got involved in a fight somehow. She’s always just kinda been around because, you know, we ended up down a hole in the center of town, but that’s a different story. Anyways. Full story below the cut because it’s long and stupid lol)

TL;DR: I unexpectedly had to flirt in-character with a new friend who was playing my character’s previously NPC girlfriend and I died. Also I’m bad at even pretending to flirt and I threw my glasses

I was playing in a rather long D&D session the other day with my friends, and the day before that the DM was like ‘hey can you send me Luminae’s character sheet. Also her spells’ and I was like yeah sure, whatever I guess she’s gonna come and save our asses down in this hole we’re stuck in or something. 

Fast forward about two or three hours into the session, as we’re panicking and getting ready to head out to save our returning party member who apparently got kidnapped on the way out of town and is going to be offered as a sacrifice. The DM (who is also my friend and knows basically every aspect of Seren and Luminae’s relationship that I’ve already decided on, knows how weak both Seren and I are to situations involving flirting, but it’s fine) fucking looks at me. And very deliberately starts describing how someone is coming down the hallway, running -- aND WHO SPEAKS UP BUT MY NEW FRIEND, WHO IS THE ROOMMATE OF MY DM AND ANOTHER FRIEND (who is also playing)

KEEPING IN MIND THAT I SPECIFICALLY ASKED HER EARLIER IF SHE WAS PLAYING WITH US TONIGHT, BECAUSE SHE WAS SITTING AT THE TABLE WITH DICE OUT, AND I TRUSTED HER WHEN SHE TOLD ME SHE WASN’T, FUCKING --- I TRUSTED

I WAS SO UNPREPARED I FUCKING THREW MY GLASSES ONTO THE TABLE AND NEARLY DIED, I COULDN’T SPEAK FOR LIKE A MINUTE AND SHE WAS NICELY BERATING ME (in-character) THAT ENTIRE TIME FOR NOT TELLING HER I WAS GOING OUT TO DO DANGEROUS SHIT, AND THAT SHE WAS GOING TO JOIN US SO SHE COULD MAKE SURE I WAS OKAY (I said no that’s my job but let’s be real, I know her character as well as I know Seren and I knew she wouldn’t take that for an answer)

So for the next two-ish hours (maybe it was less, actually) I was very badly flirting with and being extremely protective of her, aND THEN SHE ALMOST DIED BUT THAT’S FINE, THAT’S ANOTHER STORY, and when we got back to town we all went to a bath, as you do after kicking ass and also getting your asses kicked, which you can imagine was a fucking adventure of eyebrows being raised at me by my friends. Not to mention the person playing Seren’s girlfriend super leaning into it and me dying in and out of character I like to think I have chill, but I really do not

Anyways it  was a great time and I can’t flirt (but then again I guess Seren can’t either, mostly, so it works out) and there were a lot of eyebrow-raising comments being made. Also I got to be like almost over-the-top sappy about checking if Luminae was alright every time something happened, so that was good.

My small girl Thesira had some character development today and I just have a lot of feelings for her??? I’m so proud of her and she’s following in Kelariis’ footsteps. I’ll cry for my small child ;w;  also I would die for her

Kelariis saw her younger brother today for the first time in nearly four years, I was not ready in- or out-of-character, aLL I WANTED TO DO WAS GO TO THE FISH MARKET FOR INFORMATION AND THERE HE WAS, AND HE CALLED OUT TO HER AND SHE RAN TO HIM IMMEDIATELY AND SCOOPED HIM UP IN A BIG HUG AND IT WAS REAL EMOTIONAL

AND THEN SHE WENT BACK TO HER HOME VILLAGE AND HI OH MY GOD PARENTS, AND THEN HER MOM HUGGED HER AND OUR SESSION ENDED. And Kelariis is really nervous because she’s not been home or had contact with her parents (except this one letter she sent that she didn’t get a response to) since she left for the army, and she also is kinda super disgraced right now because she essentially told the army to fuck off, and uhhhh she’s very nervous about what her family thinks now

Let’s talk about Neomi for this one, since I’vebeen thinking a lot about her lately lol. She’s pretty affectionate and totallyfine with physical contact; a lot of the times she’ll initiate casual toucheswith people she knows, and she gives so many hugs. Neomi is one of thosesuper bubbly and casually affectionate people, like hand on the arm or randomlyhooking her arm through another friend’s arm, the like

Violet Trick (shhh don’t question my names):

Chessboard: Who is the most logical? Or the schemer/planner?

Mmm probably Trick! She’s all about subterfugeand infiltration, and she prefers to execute things according to plans (thoughshe’s also very good at adapting on the fly!). Very much about precision cuts,you feel?

Seren Morntide:

Let me talk about my girl Seren! Because I’vebeen playing her recently, and I have a lot of feelings about her (and I shouldreally take the time to write out in more detail some of her backstory stuff). Butyeah, Seren ‘Mariner’ Morntide (or Vrisseren, when her parents are being like that), Human and about 23 years old.Can do a good fight, especially with a glaive (her weapon of choice), alsoextremely gay for her girlfriend.

Seren was actually raised by a family of Dragonborn– her birth parents left her in Starfall Harbor (which is a town and I have adumb idea about why it’s named that lol; thanks DM for giving me that freedom)when she was like a year and a half old, so she doesn’t remember them at alland doesn’t consider those people to be her parents or family. Her family are herparents (Fendalynn and Vrakkiis) who raised her and her older brother (Wulrinn),as far as she’s concerned. Her first language is Draconic because of this,though she also learned Common from a fairly young age; she actually has aslight accent as a result of this (but I haven’t nailed that down quite yet forRP stuff lol). The Morntides own and run a shipping and trade company based intheir town (Morntide Shipments), so she’s kinda helped with that and beeninterested in the actual shipping aspect of it from pretty early on

Uhhh what else… Seren’s an ocean girl, sheloves swimming (and is pretty fucking good at it) and she was a sailor for along time, with her brother. He’s captain of The Dawnstar, and she was kinda the unofficial (and later official)first mate/navigator when she was old enough. OH, she’s also very bad with people, sometimes (as inmechanically she has a -1 Charisma mod lol) and she tends to come off as a bitrougher than she means to, and generally just says things that come to mindinstead of trying to be overly diplomatic about it (she calls the constable ofthe town she and the rest of the party are currently in ‘Constable Stick-Up-His-Ass’pretty consistently, so I mean). Also pretty fighty, and could probably take alot of people in said fights. That being said, she’s very soft when it comes to her girlfriend, Luminae.

Also I just remembered that Luminae is gonnaoutlive Seren by a ton, because she’s an Elf and Seren is a Human, and now I rememberedall the sappy angst ideas I had for that :^)

Oohh, that’s a good one…. I think probably earth. Yeah,definitely, and it fits her family name lol

13) Playing video games, would they be a completionist, a speedrunner, how would they play?

She’d take a very focused sort of approach, powering through themain storyline and only picking up and completing side quests if they seem likethey’d be useful. But I think she’d go back and try to 100% the game aftercompleting the main quest (assuming it’s a game that allows that; otherwise she’dlikely just leave it)

17) How do they dress?

- Hhhh the hardest question, goddammit. Uhh… when she’s doing jobsin particular, she wears pretty much the bare minimum – no armor, with enoughof a top to be decent and still mobile, with shorter pants (closer to the kneein terms of length). Otherwise just functional clothing – a decent tunic/shirttucked into longer pants – unless her girlfriend insists she wear somethingnicer lol

20) If they could be a dragon, would they be a dragon?

((Can we talk about both asks for my Dragonborncharacters included this question? Ahahaha but)) Fennonrae is very happy withbeing a Dragonborn, so probably not something she’d jump at immediately? Shewouldn’t be upset if it happened for some reason out of her control though

Kimiko: 

5) What does their voice sound like?

Well you hear what I try to stick to and very often fail atsticking to lol, but I imagine her as having a sorta smooth and slightlyhigher voice, almost bordering on airy? Very much the voice of someone who cantalk their way into, out of, and around a variety of situations

12) Do they have a type?

Ehhh she’s partial to people who are sweet and kind, and alsohave sorta higher energy? Not too much, but – you know, outward enthusiasm andstuff. Oh! And if they share her interest in seeing new places, learning newthings, that sort of stuff? That’s some extra points in her book ahaha

16) Favorite terrain?

She’s been to a fair number of places while she was growing up,even if not for very long, so she’s pretty alright in most terrain. But I guessthe city, if you count that? She likes to people-watch (and meet new people),and where better to do that than cities?

17) How do they dress?

See, now I’m glad we talked about this the other day ahahaha.When she has time, she’ll put on a casual kimono (or yukata, if it’s really hotout and she’s going to be out and about a lot that day), with proper makeup andhair being done, all of it. Otherwise she’ll go out in a happi coat withpants/leggings of some sort, just comfortable but still fitting her #aesthetic

A bit lower and rougher, but still warm-ish (usually?). My lowerregister is kinda close, but… not exactly?

Uhhhhh that’s not something I think even Kelariis herselfknows yet hahaha. It’s kinda not really been on her mind? So I’m not sure ifshe does ((I assumed this was romantic and/or sexual preference sort of vein ofquestion))

The coast, and the rockier the better. Reminds her of home

17) How do they dress?

You know, of course this is one of the questions you would ask,I should have known. Hmmm she dresses pretty practically, without her armorjust anything comfortable and probably sleeveless (gotta show off them gunslol).

I mean really she’s already halfway there ahahaha. But if shecould, she’d be down to just be a proper bronze dragon, because that’d be coolas hell

The person she’d take is definitely her younger sister,Mika, who might be the only other surviving member of her clan (she’s noteven sure if her sister is alive though). As for the thing she’d take, well…. probablyher longsword, because it’d be useful to have haha

27. They’re at a tavern. They bump into a big burly angrydrunk with a combative attitude. What happens?

Her first plan of action would probably be to try and intimidatesaid drunk, but if that fails she wouldn’t hesitate to whip out her bladed fansand dance that drunk into submission (she may have been a dancer by trade whenshe was younger, but she damn well learned how to turn that into a fightingability after what happened to her clan)

28. What do they do between quests?

I mean, for her, her quest isn’t really over till she findsout what’s happened to her sister, and preferably also gotten revenge on herclan’s murderers. But otherwise she really just travels, I guess? Maybe doessome performances in whatever town she’s in to get some extra money, since shedid grow up as a performer, despite everything else that’s happened to her
