Shaya Jax and Solis Youngstar (they are married)

Shaya Jax

raised by Orthium in the order of Vanthion warriors called The Butchers Of Vanth, a moon which orbits a gas giant called Chist in the Hadeena system. She herself is a native born Vanthion and has the typical purple pigment to her skin, while Orthium is not.

Solis Youngstar

with his two sisters Rhea and Nuuk, Solis fled his home world of Paan and its ridged social structure. Living in a tiny apartment on D’makii, Solis found an effective way to make money: bounty hunting. When his sisters found out his true profession, they slowly distanced themselves from them in disgust with his actions.

he met Shaya during a mission where he was supposed to hunt her down and bring her to justice for killing a high ranking member of an order of mages know as the Magoii. She kicked his ass and he was smitten. (It took Shaya a bit longer to accept Solis as she slid not one to trust easily)

Maaliiz - straight up eats people raw (insert It's Raw Gordon Ramsy meme)

Shaya-Jax - likes to lick the knife off of her knives after she's made a kill and sometimes eats the cuts she takes off of their bodies.

Solis - he burned water once

Rhea - She only eats pussy (lol, not really, but she is notoriously terrible at washing her hands before she prepares food or eats)

Ursa - eats thing well past their experiation date and when they taste off she just keeps eating them (even when her stomach starts to hurt *whispers* It's okay she's living through a zombie apocalypse and it having a succession of terrible days stacked on top of one another.)

Axel - has eaten road kill, worse it was a skunk he scrapped off the side of the road. (he is in the middle of The Zombie Apocalypse (tm) also)

Jia-Vax - god help this woman, she eats everything raw just like Maaliiz (I mean she's a giant fire breathing lizard but she could at least burnt he damn thing before swallowing it, jeez)

Rivers - Keeps eating stuff before it's cooked which is either very dangerous or means that there is less to be cooked. (Also will sneak ingediants away to sample them if on one is looking)

WantedDesign Manhattan 2019 Favorites

WantedDesign Manhattan 2019 has come and gone and this year marks the last time it will be held at the Terminal Stores in Manhattan. As always WantedDesign presented a solid exhibition filled with a curated selection of furniture, lighting, and objects by both up-and-coming and established designers from around the world. Take a look to see some of our favorite designs presented this year.

French paint brand Ressource invited French painter Thomas Labarthe to live paint during the opening night of WantedDesign. He first painted the black outline of the painting and then went back in with a collection of NYC-inspired paint colors (below). It was fun to see the painting progress as you walked back by.

As you entered the show FLOS showcased an illuminating installation of Michael Anastassiades Arrangements pendant lighting  hung from the ceiling.

Simon Johns, part of the Quebec Design booth, displayed the Ledge Console which was inspired by the cliffs around his southern Quebec studio. Hanging above was the Solis Mirror made from blackened ash, brass plated steel, and glass, which gives nod to “the horizon, the rising sun, and your reflection among it all.”

Brooklyn-based LOREKFORM designs these ethereal pendants that are made when glass is ladled onto iron plates that have been imperfectly textured throughout a multi-layered process.

The #PLDSGN booth was part pop-up shop displaying a variety of design-focused goods from Polish designers. We loved and wanted all of these Look At Me Plates designed by Magdalena Pilaczyńska. The #PLDSGN exhibition was organized by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute and is part of its program promoting Polish design worldwide.
