Jasonnie Week Day 2 - Cold/Warmth
Donnie, your boyfriend is suffocating... Donnie: This ain't about him
Just a quick doodle for this one since it's on the sillier side. Technically both prompts but it's more warmth than anything. Downsides to dating someone who's more cold blooded
Also a quick aside, I didn't do this on purpose but Donnie's bandanna color in the show is more blue undertoned, and when I draw Jase I tend to make his purples more red undertoned to go with the fact he likes pink. AKA they have undertones matching whether they're warm or cold blooded alskjdf

DAY 7-KNIGHT/DRAGON
So, this is for @sibillascribbles08 Jasonnie week that I'm SO late for. But school started, so yea. While at first I thought to do some kind of meet-cute or something like that, I did it with my new Red Notice AU (the movie with Ryan Reynolds, Gal Galgadot and the Rock)!!
Fun fact: The first draft looks SO bad and the dragon and horse (knight) were cutouts!

Jasonnie Week Day 1 – Rivals/Partners
When I write these two it's always with the mindset that no matter how close they get, that rivalry always lingers. The subject matter just changes. Like which dress is their daughter going to like better.
Jase wins this round, but there will be more

[ID: A digitally drawn comic featuring Jason and Donatello from Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Panel one features the two of them glaring at each other, Donatello leaning over due to their height difference. The dialogue, starting with Jason, reads: "Excuse me, but YOURS is the one that's tacky and unrefined." "Unrefined? As if you can call that absolute mess--" "Mess? Aren't you mean to be the expert on." The second panel has them in the same pose but looking surprised at the camera. And off screen character shouts, "DADDIES, LOOK!" The third panel features their six year old daughter posing in a purple tutu like dress with text that reads, "Dress that Jase gave her." The final panel has Jason in the foreground holding his daughter with the text "Winner" above his head. Donnie is in the background looking distraught under a spotlight with text that reads, "Loser". Jasonnie week Day 4 - Past/Future
Lil fic for this one! And just a quick cw it opens with a nightmare with Kendra being Shitty™
It was a common occurrence, or a typical Friday night he supposed. Kendra talked about plans for the weekend while picking up whatever she wanted off his desk. Her nails picked apart a model he hadn’t glued together yet. She gave out a horribly fake, “oops,” as she dropped the tiniest piece onto the carpet. She’d knock whatever drink he had toward his keyboard—he started making sure they were all capped bottles now. She’d close a project without saving it. She’d take whatever pen he might be flipping between his fingers and chuck it in the trash.
And she just kept talking, as if her word were law. Whatever she says goes.
Jason typically didn’t retaliate. He just sat there and listened, waiting and praying for her to get bored and leave. Let him get back to work.
“You know, that is a silver lining, isn’t it?” She asked, putting the remains of his figure back on the desk.
He tried not to glare. “What?”
“Well, since Travis broke up with you, now you’re free this weekend.” She grinned at him.
That made rage snap in his chest, because that was all her fault. He didn’t even know how he knew that, but he did. She must have started a rumor, or lied to him, or pulled some other stunt to convince Travis that Jase was talking shit behind his back. It wasn’t even true.
In a very untypical fashion, Jason lashed out.
He swung a punch as he stood, aimed right for her. But it didn’t hit. Kendra just wasn’t there anymore. He blinked and glanced around. Why was his room suddenly darker? Why were there so many shelves? And boxes?
His breathing came to a halt when he recognized it. He tried to sprint for the door.
And there Kendra stood, lit from behind as she glared at him.
“I wish those aliens had killed you.” She spat before slamming the door shut.
Jason crashed into it, desperately trying to undo the lock only to fail. Then something clawed at it, followed by a sharp bark. Jason stumbled back and hit the floor, barely able to breathe. His stomach clenched and twisted. His throat felt impossibly dry. He gasped for air but it felt more like he was swallowing it.
“Jase?”
Whose voice was that? He could barely hear it through the violent barks and growls as the claws started to rip into the door.
“Jase!”
Something grabbed his shoulders and the darkness vanished. No, not completely vanished. The room he found himself in was still dark but not in the same way. The faintest of blue outlines lined the walls and the doors.
Jason reached up to touch the hand on his shoulder. Donnie’s hand. In an instant his fingers curled around the turtle’s calloused palms, letting the sensation ground him.
He was here. In their room. In their apartment. On the top floor of the building that Donnie renovated for all kinds of mutants to live in.
He breathed in through his nose and out of his mouth as he forced his heart to slow down.
“Nightmare?” Donnie’s breath brushed against his hair.
Jason nodded, squeezing his hand tighter.
“The usual?”
“Nah,” he sighed. “Kendra was there, actually.”
Donnie moved his hand so his arm wrapped around Jase, tugging him close.
Jason let himself curl up against his fiancé. Even if the turtle’s plastron wasn’t the softest thing, it felt sturdy and safe.
“Feeling sick?” Donnie rubbed his back.
“Nah, I’m alright. Dream didn’t get far enough for that.” Thanks to being woken up. But rather than verbalize that he tilted his head to plant a brief kiss on Donnie’s shoulder.
“Feels strange.” He kept going, though he spoke quietly in case Donnie dozed off. “Dream felt so real for a while there. Like just another day during high school. Then I wake up here.”
Donnie only hummed in response, confirmation that he was listening.
“If you went back in time and told my high school self that I’d end up with pretty much anything I have now, I don’t think he’d believe you.”
His fiancé huffed out a laugh. “I’m not sure I would either. I mean. Imagine if my future self said ‘oh yeah by the way you’re going to fall madly in love with the guy from the Purple Dragons.’”
Jason lightly jabbed Donnie in the hip in response to that. “Sure, but that’s not exactly what I mean.”
“Elaborate.”
“Well it’s like… being free from Kendra. Being in a steady relationship at all. Being away from my mom and fixing things with my dad. Heck, now I have an additional two parents? I’m a co-owner of a major tech company?” He curled up even tighter against his fiancé’s chest. “Just… being surrounded by people who love me in general. Sometimes it’s hard to believe this happened to me.”
He briefly considered what his father told him not long after that invasion. That he didn’t have to be successful or famous or rich or any of that. That if he just reached a point where he felt happy to be alive, that’d be enough.
And he was. He was so glad he survived that invasion. Because doing so helped him survive a lot more than that.
Donnie kissed his head, then his forehead, one hand moving to brush against the side of his face.
But then the turtle must have found the stubble on his cheeks because suddenly Donnie pressed his palm down against the skin and rubbed it way too hard.
“Donnie.” Jason shoved his fiancé away, or the best he could manage at least. “Do not. We’re supposed to be sleeping.” He rolled over to look at the digital clock that sat on the nightstand. He had to squint without his glasses, but he could still make out the date and time. Not even half past 3 AM? He was about to groan but then his eyes fixed on the date. Something in his brain kept clicking together before it finally snapped into place.
“Oh my god.” He mumbled, hands still pressed against Donnie’s shoulder. “It's our wedding day.”
Donnie took his hand. “Yup.”
Jason turned to look at his fiancé. Difficult to do in the low light, but his silhouette was visible from the light coming in the window. “We’re getting married.”
“Yeah.” Donnie wrapped his arms around him again, holding him close.
It’s not like Jason didn’t know about this. They’d been planning it for months. The venues, the decorations, their clothes, every aspect of it. He knew it before they went to bed, a giddiness sitting in his chest that wouldn’t leave. And there it was again and he wondered if he’d ever get back to sleep.
He was getting married. To Donatello. This massive, genius turtle who one day out of the blue extended a peaceful hand and Jason decided to take it.
And now they were here.
He had no idea what was going through Donnie’s head in the silence, but the turtle squeezed him tighter. “I love you.”
Jason couldn’t really return the gesture, being practically trapped, but he at least reached up to squeeze Donnie’s arm in response. “I love you too.”
And then he drifted back to sleep.

Jasonnie Week Day 6 - Fear/Courage
Oh hey a chance to detail something about VHHB Donnie that I haven't been able to mention before
Jason knew Donnie was afraid of beach balls.
He shared the information back when a thread of conversation led to Jase discussing his phobia of dogs. How he’d just been shy around them as a toddler until one day he got bitten at age six. The dog hadn’t exactly been trying to. It was just big, and Jase was small, and he wouldn’t actually throw the ball that the dog wanted so bad, so it tried to nip his arm.
Since then he’d go tense whenever he saw one. He’d panic if they barked in his direction or charged at him. And that fear truthfully increased after the invasion, despite how much he tried to overcome it.
It made him feel pathetic.
And then Donnie shared his phobia, and Jase tried not to laugh about it, but it escaped nonetheless.
But for a while, Jason figured that must be Donnie’s only major fear. Beach balls and other blown up objects of similar nature. The turtle had fought dozens of powerful enemies, some more terrifying than others, and always come out on top. What else could possibly frighten him?
He found out one night while hanging out in his room. Donnie offered to help him put together a lego set, and they just wrapped up when they both noted how dark it was outside.
“Isn’t it too early for that?” Donnie checked his phone. “Oh, looks like there’s rain incoming.”
“Really?” Jason checked his own weather app, noting the way too cute graphic of a grey cloud with a lightning bolt. “Ugh, yeah, do you need to head home?”
“And run the risk of getting caught in it?” Donnie huffed and got off the floor. “I would rather not, if you don’t mind.”
“Of course not.” Jason took a second to place the finished lego model on his desk and then gathered up all the spare pieces to put into the box where he kept them. Donnie shoved the empty plastic bags in the garbage and closed up the container they all came in.
Jason stepped over to the window, moving the curtains all the way open as he looked up at the clouds. Looked like a nasty one. A surprise it wasn’t already raining.
“Ah, could we um, close the curtain?”
Jason only turned his head slightly when he replied. “Why?”
Just then a bolt of lighting went off. Jason saw the shape of it in the corner of his vision, a jagged line of white against the dark clouds. He turned to get a better look but of course it was gone. A beat later a rumble of thunder wrapped around the building, the vibrations moving through the glass.
Jason smiled a bit and finally turned around. “Looks like this might be a—”
The look on his boyfriend’s face made him freeze. The turtle stood there, eyes wide and fixed on the sky. His hands were up like he didn’t know what to do with them, fingers shaking ever so slightly.
Before Jason could ask what was wrong, another bolt must have appeared. The light flashed through the bedroom and Donnie flinched backwards before stopping himself.
Oh.
Jason scrambled to shut the curtain, trying to cover as much of the glass as he could. “Shit, Donnie, are you okay?”
“F-fine.” The turtle stuttered out, still staring at something far beyond the room.
“You’re obviously not.” Jason stepped over to him, but didn’t reach out.
Donnie breathed in through his teeth. “I’m fine.” His voice cracked. Now his arms were shaking.
Jason didn’t want to touch him, he knew better than that, but he grabbed the comforter folded at the end of his bed and tossed it around his boyfriend’s shoulders.
Donnie grabbed it in an instant and ducked down to the floor, completely covering himself in the sheet.
“Do… you want me to blast some music?” Jason tried. “To block out the thunder?”
A soft whine. “Th-thunder is fine. It’s not the thunder just…”
Just the lightning, okay. Jason glanced back at the drapes that could only do so much to keep the flashing light out with how thin they were.
“Do you want to go to the living room?” He offered. “No windows in there.”
“Sure…”
Jason waited for Donnie to be ready, indicated by the turtle standing up, but he didn’t move the blanket far off his head. Jason bumped his hand into the turtle’s, offering it, and when Donnie took it he led his boyfriend down the stairs.
Donnie plopped right onto the sofa and Jason wasted no time turning on some mindless television. Jeopardy. Sure, why not.
He kept the volume on low and sat next to his boyfriend—still not touching him. Another rumble of thunder came from outside, followed by rain pouring onto the building.
Jason pressed his lips together, then tried, “Sorry. I didn’t know you were scared of—”
“It’s fine.” Donnie interrupted, curling up more under the sheet. “Not like I ever told you about it.”
He wanted to ask why, curiosity scratching at his throat like a cough, but he swallowed it back. Instead he just tried to focus on the trivia on TV.
After about eight questions—of which he only knew the answer to one—Donnie’s head popped out of the blanket as he leaned back against the cushion. His eyes still seemed unfocused, but now he looked more tired than frightened.
“Do you…” Donnie began, a few cracks still lining his voice. “Do you remember back when I forgot about our lunch plans? And I mentioned the reason we’re hesitant to hire more people to work with Holly and I?”
Jason did, and he nodded.
“Varii. The name of the yōkai that took over my lab was Varii. He was a long time customer of Holly’s, so she trusted him. Turns out that it was a ruse on his part, biding his time to try and wipe out her and a lot of other mutants.”
Jason’s eyebrows shot up. “Huh? What for?”
“I don’t know his stupid reason. Something about how mutants were like yōkai mimics or something. That we weren’t supposed to exist.”
“And he thinks he gets to decide that?”
“It doesn’t matter.” Donnie snapped for a moment, then relaxed again. “It doesn’t matter. We stopped him and put him away but… He did some damage before we managed that.”
“Took over everything in your lab?” Jason asked. That must have been the event that spurred Donnie to raid Kendra’s warehouse way back then.
“I… yes, but not just that. He also stole my dart gun, so he could use the darts to strike mutants with something to demutate them.”
That made him blink. Was that even possible?
“He hit Holly with it.”
Oh.
Jason wasn’t even sure he wanted to ask this, but he did anyway. “Did it… work?”
Donnie curled up again, blanket covering his mouth. “Yeah. She was stuck as a regular wasp for about two weeks until Draxum could remake his formula. And even with that we didn’t know if she’d get her memory back or anything.”
He didn’t really know what to say to that. He still only knew the wasp so well, not often alone in a room with her, but he knew how much Donnie adored her.
He ran the risk of leaning to the side so their shoulders pressed together. Donnie didn’t move away.
“I’m getting off track anyway.” The turtle mumbled. “In order to manipulate my tech, he used lightning. And one time he even used it on me to corrupt my mystic abilities. Every time I see a bolt I end up feeling that all over again.”
“I see,” Jason said. “That’s why you didn’t want to risk flying home, huh?”
His boyfriend nodded.
“Well, we can just bunk down here until it’s over.” He glanced at the comforter, an idea striking him. “Actually, wanna arrange this sofa into a fort? Then I could make some popcorn and you can pick a movie.”
Donnie lowered the blanket just enough that his tiny smile was visible. “Yeah, that sounds fun, actually.”
Jason smiled and got up to grab some more blankets and props. But just as he turned to walk away, Donnie caught his wrist. Jase let the turtle move his hand so it rested against the side of his face.
Then Donnie took a deep breath, obviously focusing on the warmth against his cheek before letting go. “Thanks.”
“Yeah, sure. I’ll be right back, okay? Why don’t you pick a movie?”
“We should watch that last knight Transformers movie again.”
“Like hell.”
Donatello grinned. “I feel bad and I wanna pick the shit movie.”
“So you can feel shittier?”
“Itll be funny.”
Jason rolled his eyes. “Fine.”
#rottmnt#scribbly fics#jasonnie#jasonnieweek24#man one more day let's see if I get that done on time lmaoooo#btw if you wanna know about Transformers The Last Knight#look up the video on it by cosmonaut variety hour#it's VERY funny#that movie is deranged

Jasonnie Week Day 5 - Inventive/Destructive
Wasn't sure what I wanted to do for a while on this one and then I came up with this.
The fact that this happened wasn’t exactly surprising, but it still shouldn’t have happened. A cluster of mistakes and poor choices that led to this.
Donatello knew that Jason only recently obtained his ninpo. And despite how fluidly he used it during that fight in the Nexus, it’d likely just been a spur of adrenaline that allowed it. He had almost no clue how to properly use it.
He knew that, according to Draxum and Gram Gram, Jason’s ninpo drew directly from his spirit much like Raphael’s did. Ergo, it was heavily influenced by his emotions.
He knew he shouldn’t have taken Jase on a crime stopping mission, but come on, it was a simple task of scaring off some goons who kept trying to vandalize Hypno and Warren’s apartment. His brothers called to see if he wanted in, and he and Jase were already hanging out so why not just take him with?
In his defense, he didn’t know they were armed. But he naively rolled his eyes when they pulled out a gun, because Mikey could easily grab the guy's arm to redirect his aim.
But Donatello forgot bullets can ricochet.
The handgun went off, the blast echoing down the street. Raph let out a panicked shout. And for half a second Donatello laughed, about to taunt that the guy missed.
Then suddenly there was a burning and sharp pain in his arm.
The shock cut his mystics off—the ones keeping him in the air. He plummeted down to the street, only stopped because Raph caught him in his arms.
“Donnie?” His big brother shouted. “Leo, get those guys out of here.”
“I’m on— oh heck!”
Donatello, in spite of how much his arm hurt, tried to shove himself up to see why his twin shouted like that. The slider stared up the building next to them. So did all of the thugs.
Donatello followed their gaze and only got a glimpse of Jason’s ninpo dragon before the massive beast dove straight down.
The guys screamed. Leo did too before teleporting away. Raph began to sprint out of range.
Donatello could barely tell what was happening. Not only because Raph kept tugging him down, but the lightning that kept going off paralyzed him to the point he couldn’t fight back. The dragon’s roars sounded like thunder. Glass shattered. Stone crashed onto the asphalt.
“Jase?” Mikey’s shouts were barely audible over all the noise. “Jase, buddy, calm down!”
Donatello looked up to the roof. Another flash of lightning made him flinch, panic in his throat and static under his skin, but he refused to cower.
He grabbed onto his big brother’s plastron. “Raph, get me up there.”
“But Don—”
“Now.” He hissed. At this point he was well aware of the blood running down his arm, but he didn’t care.
As Raph called out for Leo, more screams erupted from the streets, not just from the men they were fighting this time. Donatello leaned around Raphael’s arm in time to see the dragon’s tail smash into the side of the apartment building, completely taking a corner out of it.
Leo teleported next to them and cut into the ground. All three of them dropped through the portal onto the roof.
Donatello scrambled out of Raph’s arms the second he saw Jase. His boyfriend was kneeling down, eyes blown wide and glowing the same warm purple as his dragon. Mikey knelt next to him, calling out, but it seemed to go unheard.
“Jase?” Donatello tried as he stumbled over, wincing every time he had to move his arm. “Jase, I’m okay. I’m fine.” He knelt on the ground next to him. “Jase, look at me. Please look at me.”
It took actually reaching out and touching his boyfriend’s face to get him to lift his head. Those bright eyes fixed on him, and then a second pair did as well as the dragon slowly rose up from behind, sparks still spilling from its jaws.
Donatello took Jason’s hand and pressed it against his plastron. “I’m okay. I promise.”
The dragon vanished in a flash. The light left Jason’s eyes as he gasped and clutched his head.
There were still panicked shouts coming from below, along with the sound of sirens.
“What the heck was that?” Warren shouted across the rooftop.
Donatello glanced back to see him and Hypno climbing up onto the roof. Looked like they didn’t get out unscathed judging from how rough Warren’s hair looked and the giant tear in Hypno’s shirt.
“Oh mi gosh, are you guys okay?” Mikey floated himself right toward them.
Donatello left his little brother to manage that and turned back to Jason. His boyfriend’s hand stayed pressed against his chest as he caught his breath.
Then Jason’s gaze finally came into focus, fixed on Donatello’s arm. “Donnie, what? You said you were okay.”
“I am.”
“Are you kidding me?” He gestured toward it.
Only now did Donatello look at it himself. You couldn’t see the bullet wound from this angle, but it didn’t matter. The blood trails curled around to the front of his hand and started to pool on the ground.
“Yeah, we need to get you to the medbay, stat.” Leo insisted.
He didn’t even get the chance to argue. Leo cut open another portal, and both Donnie and Jase fell right through it.
-----------------------------
Donatello didn’t even get a scope of the damage until the next day.
On his way over to see Jase—ignoring Leo’s insistence that he rest—he made a stop at the apartment where the whole mess went down.
He couldn’t say that it looked like a tornado or a bomb hit it, because that wasn’t the right way to describe it. It truly looked like the work of a giant dragon. Claw marks dug into the road and the brick work. Chunks of building still littered the streets along with broken glass. Parts of the apartment were flat out missing, some even looked bitten through. Scorch marks from all the lightning scarred the stone. Caution tape was wrapped across the alley way to keep people from entering before it got cleaned up properly.
Evidently the damage was bad enough that Hypno and Warren couldn’t stay in their place, which they weren’t happy about. “Why did we even call you to help,” Warren had said. “If you’re going to cause more damage than those thugs.”
Donatello was just glad Jason wasn’t there during that conversation. His boyfriend wouldn’t have taken it well.
Jase already looked guilty and terrified enough as it was.
Donatello knocked on the front door of the house. No answer. He dug up the spare key that Mr. Song told him about and opened the door. He slipped up to Jason’s room and knocked on that door instead.
“Jase?” he said. “It’s me.”
Thankfully the answer came swiftly. “Come in.”
Donatello closed the door behind him as he did. At least Jason wasn’t curled up under the sheets, but he was still wearing his PJs and not his glasses.
“Feeling okay?” The softshell plopped down onto the bed.
“Shouldn’t I be asking you that?” Jase tilted his head as he glanced at the bandage. “I’m sure getting that pulled out wasn’t fun.”
Donatello shrugged. “It sucked, but I think I’ve had worse. Now answer my question.”
Jase sighed and tightened his arms across his chest. “If I ask for pictures of the damage, would you show them to me?”
“No. You shouldn’t be kicking yourself over this.”
“Shouldn’t I? That was my fault.” Jason fell back against his pillow. “I wasn’t unaware. I could see everything that dragon was doing. Hell, I was practically doing it myself. I was just so…”
Donatello pulled his legs up on the bed so he could scoot closer. “You haven’t had the chance to train your ninpo. It’s of no surprise it got out of control. Especially if you were… worrying about me.”
Because he wasn’t unaware of the cause. The dragon came out the second he got hit. Jase probably didn’t even know what happened at the time. He heard a gun go off and saw Donatello fall. Anyone in that position might have assumed the worst.
Jase rolled onto his side, curling up. His voice cracked. “I thought you died.”
“I know.” Donatello mirrored his pose, thankfully laying on his good side as he did. “And I’m not mad at you. None of us are.”
Jase snorted. “I bet Hypno and Warren are, a little bit.”
“They’ll get over it. They should understand anyway. We’ll find them a new place, somewhere better.” Donatello’s gaze moved up to the pillow, trying to think of some ideas. The two really shouldn’t keep having to force themselves into a place built for humans. Hypno was too wide and Warren too small. In fact, all the mutants and even surface dwelling yōkai deserved somewhere made for them.
An idea he filed away from the time being. He reached out to take Jase’s hand. “Let’s just work on trying to keep it from happening again, hm?”
Jase sighed and curled their fingers together. “Okay.”
