The Murder of Jasmine Fiore

Jasmine Fiore was a model from Santa Cruz, California, USA. She worked frequently as a swimsuit model and a body-painted model and had appeared in shows in Las Vegas. Jasmine also had a real-estate license and plans to open a gym and personal training centre.

Jasmine met real estate investor Ryan Jenkins at a casino in Las Vegas, two days later they got married on the Vegas strip. In 2009, Jenkins was charged with assaulting Jasmine by hitting her on the arm, causing her to fall into a nearby swimming pool. Jasmine's mother claims the couple argued a lot and that Jenkins was jealous of Jasmine's male friends.

On 13th August 2009, the couple checked into a hotel in San Diego, they were due to attend a poker tournament. CCTV captured them leaving the hotel at 2.30 am the next morning, they were seen at a nightclub later that morning and around 4.30 am Jenkins returned to the hotel alone. Jasmine was not seen again and Jenkins left the hotel at 9 am that day.

Jasmine's body was discovered but not identified on 15th August at 7 am. She had been badly beaten and crushed inside a suitcase before being dumped in a rubbish bin in an alley. Her teeth and fingers had been removed, she was naked and she had been strangled to death. Authorities believed the missing fingers and teeth were an attempt to stop her from being identified. Jasmine had breast implants and was identified by the serial numbers on them. Jasmine's car was discovered abandoned with a significant amount of blood inside and evidence her hair had been pulled forcefully.

On 20th August, Jenkins was charged with murder and an arrest warrant was issued. At about 6 pm that day, Jenkins and a young, blonde woman arrived at a motel in Canada, the woman entered the motel and paid in cash for three nights stay but Jenkins stayed in the car which raised questions. The woman was later found to be Jenkins' half-sister.

At 11.30 am on 23rd August the couple failed to check out, the motel manager checked the room. Jenkins was found hanging from a clothes rack by a belt, he had committed suicide and had saved a file as 'Last Will and Testament on his computer.
