Sensex falls 360 pts, Nifty below 11,400; Vedanta, Tata Steel among top losers

markets opened on a negative note on Monday, taking cues from their
Asian peers, with the Sensex falling below the 38,000 points,.
At
9.45am, the BSE Sensex fall 360 points at 37,804 levels
while the Nifty50, is trading 106 points at 11,350 levels.
Asian
markets were witnessing deep corrections. The Japanese Nikkei down
over 3%, while the Hang Sang also plunged 2%. On Friday, both Asian
and European markets had closed sharply lower.
All
Sectoral indices of the NSE are trading in the red, in which the meal
stocks falls the most over 2 percent, followed by PSU Bank, private
band and Reality which falls 1.65% and 1.29% each.
IOC, BPCL, NTPC, Tech Mahindra and Maruti were among major gainers whereas Hindalco, JSW Steel, Vedanta, Kota Bank and Tata Steel lost the most.
