Upcoming Retro Films at the Carolina Theatre of Durham (January-June 2018)
All movies are on Fridays (unless otherwise stated) starting at 7:00pm (or so), and cost $9.50 for both films.�� You can also get a season pass for $80.00 which covers every Retro double feature (but does not include Anime-Magic, Fantastic Realm, or RetroArthouse).
January 5th: Henry Koster’s The Bishop’s Wife (1947) and William Keighley’s The Man Who Came to Dinner (1942)
January 12th: Ted Kotcheff‘s First Blood (1982) and John McTiernan’s Die Hard (1988)
January 13th (Saturday): Fan Appreciation Day -- FREE showings (with a FREE medium popcorn) of Billy Wilder’s The Front Page (1974) and Steven Spielberg’s Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), starting at 4:30pm, in the historic 1,000-seat Fletcher Hall.
January 19th: Tobe Hooper’s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) and John Carpenter’s Christine (1983) CANCELED DUE TO SNOWPOCALPYSE 2018, moved to February 18th (a Sunday) at 2:00pm.
January 26th: Nevermore Fundraiser -- Joss Whedon’s Serenity (2005) and Fran Rubel Kuzui‘s Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992), in the historic 1,000-seat Fletcher hall; tickets are $12.
February 2nd: Tom Eberhardt’s Night of the Comet (1984) and Dorian Walker’s Teen Witch (1989)
