I bought this beautiful bamboo bowl in Apollo Bay, Australia. I actually hummed and hawed thinking about how and where I could use it when the sales person told me it’d make a great fruit bowl. A second person there told me that the butterfly is the only animal that can’t be assisted as it is going through it’s chrysalis. Today I replaced the bowl from my Africa travels 2001 with this beauty. 17 years later. I am so grateful to the friends and family who stood by me, not forcing me nor judging my own growth. For the opportunities that revealed moments of self actualization. 2018 marks my 40th year, so many learning lessons and new vocabulary to define identity and self. So much more to learn. Down the Rabbit Hole

Sometimes you fail to meet your goals. Sometimes your dreams are crushed before you can even try to make them come true. This month the latter happened.

I was told I did not have enough aid to cover the cost of going to school for this semester, so I have decided to take a break. My circumstances are frustrating because I can't go back to school or transfer until I pay my school the money I owe them. That won't happen anytime soon, so I guess I might be cutting my education short.

I have been home for the last couple of weeks, but I feel like I left yesterday. I need to get out and start over. Time to get out of the hole I've dug.
