#inspirationnation in the form of these impeccable words by @petaodini By @petaodini via @RepostWhiz app: Support Local is not just a hashtag it ought to be a way of thinking for all especially here in the Caribbean. There is no greater sense of pride to be complimented on an item of clothing or jewelry, a piece of artwork or even a song you are listening to and be able to say that was made in my island or that was created in the Caribbean. Investment in the Caribbean product benefits all of us. When a local producer has demand for his or her craft he or she will go out into his or her community and train and employ others. We can then begin to build an industry. We can then create bodies of work that will be able compete at all levels regionally and internationally. Thank you to @anyaayoungchee and all the other great spaces and events that give us an opportunity to showcase our work and thanks to those who see the dream and support the dream. Support your local creative, your Caribbean dreamer... It's time to create sustainable creative industries that can in turn increase skills training and employment for our own people. #SupportLocal #ShopSmall #MEILING #ShopShari #JaniceDerrick #RachelRoss #Aisling #1ndividual #TheUrbanFactory #PetaOdini #LendandBorough #SewLisa #ImmortelleBeauty
