 under  the  soft  glow  of  the  seine's  lights,  hyunwoo  gently  took  bomi's  hand,  leading  her  to  a  quiet  spot  along  the  river.  his  heart  pounded,  but  he  couldn't  help  the  smile  that  tugged  at  his  lips  as  he  looked  at  her,  warmth  and  excitement  bubbling  up  inside  him.  ❛  i  keep  thinking.  ❜  he  began,  softly.  ❛  about  how  much  better  everything  feels  when  you  are  around.  ❜  he  squeezed  her  hand,  eyes  bright  as  he  glanced  down,  then  back  up  at  her.  ❛  so,  what  if  ..  we  made  it  official  ?  would  you  want  to  be  my  girlfriend  ?  ❜  his  thumb  traced  gentle  circles  on  her  hand,  the  air  filled  with  a  shy,  hopeful  pause  as  he  waited  for  her  answer,  the  seine  sparkling  beside  them  like  their  own  quiet  witness.             bomi  couldn't  have  envisioned  a  more  perfect  scenario.  here  she  was,  standing  in  a  city  she  once  only  dreamed  of  visiting,  with  someone  who  had  quickly  become  one  of  the  most  important  people  in  her  life,  and  he  was  asking  her  to  be  his.

 everything  about  their  story  was  unconventional  -  getting  engaged  first  because  of  their  parents  and  then  slowly  building  something  on  their  own,  together  -  but  she  wouldn't  have  it  any  other  way.  hyunwoo  was  genuine,  kind,  and  had  brought  her  out  of  her  shell  in  ways  she  never  thought  possible.  each  day  by  his  side,  she  felt  herself  coming  back  to  life,  rediscovering  parts  of  herself  she  thought  were  long  gone.

  if  only  he  knew  the  depth  of  what  he  meant  to  her,  though  words  barely  formed  in  that  moment,  her  heart  racing  too  fast  to  articulate  her  feelings.  positioning  herself  in  front  of  him,  she  took  both  his  hands  and  let  out  the  answer  he  was  waiting  for,  "  yes,  i  will  be  your  girlfriend.  "  a  huge  smile  spread  across  her  face,  her  eyes  bright  as  tears  threatened  to  spill,  overwhelmed  by  joy  in  the  best  way  possible.

 before  she  knew  it,  she  was  jumping  into  his  arms,  fully  trusting  that  hyunwoo  would  be  there  to  catch  her  -  literally  and  figuratively.  being  anyone's  girlfriend  was  a  privilege,  but  to  be  hyunwoo's  girlfriend  -  was  another  thing  entirely.

 it  hit  her  then  -  this  wasn’t  a  daydream.  gone  were  the  days  of  losing  herself  in  romance  dramas  and  movies.

 bomi  knew  she  was  finally  living  her  own  love  story.
