I feel like I spent more of the year revisiting old favorites rather than watching new things, so most of these are either residual from 2022, or just all-time favorites/comfort characters. Also given I love the horror genre, no surprise at all most of these folks regularly choose violence, with the few who only resort to it out of necessity. With the films already lined up for release, 2024 promises to be a great year for horror and can't wait to see if I'll have any new obsessions!

Was just watching the newest season of Black Mirror and I spent the whole of the second episode (Loch Henry) thinking about how good Catherine Russell would have been in it as the role of the mother, Janet McCardle. It may have been because the actress who did play her (pictured below) has a similar look to Catherine but also I think the role would suit her. Slightly darker than what she normally plays but it would give her something to really chew on.
