"It's okay! Really. I can tell you genuinely feel bad about it, not gonna pour salt into the wound." But, once again, she would definitely take her up on the dry cleaning. Relief did flood her, however, when the other confirmed it wasn't cringe to mention that Jane just so happened to be a fan of Devon's music. "Oh, good, that's awesome, really. I..." A soft laugh huffed its way from her lips. "I'm not usually this star struck, but, I mean, your voice, it's just... God, hard to explain? But it just has this way of just hitting through you with your songs. Like a warm embrace? Oh, god, that is cringe. I don't know, like a siren song, it just sort of hooks into you and I love that. I'm a..." She shook her head, "Well, I'm trying to be a singer — I am a singer just... Not quite...there yet," and with that, her brows furrowed, looking to the stain. "God... yeah, I was... I'm here for an audition, actually and... Oh, no, this..." she gestured toward her shirt, 'This is not good, first impression wise." She let out a breath, "I need to change..."
❝Your favorite shirt? Shit, I'm sorry, that's the worst,❞ Devon replied, feeling bad for the incident, but she knew that she had to make it up to the other, especially if the shirt was so important to her. When she mentioned that she'd take her up on the dry cleaning, Devon nodded. ❝Absolutely. Can't have you losing your favorite shirt,❞ she told the other with a smile. As the other woman told her that she liked her music before spiraling a bit, wondering if it was cringe, she shook her head, ❝No, no, you're fine. Thank you, I appreciate it!❞

"Oh, fuck, it's okay—" Her words came out immediately, eyes a little wide as she looked at the other. Someone she knew of very well, in such high regard it was almost embarrassing, and made her temporarily forget she had thankfully not burning hot coffee all over her. "I mean — it's no big deal. It's... Well... It is my favorite shirt, but..." Her lucky shirt, the Runaways pictured in their vintage glory, having always felt like she had a bit of their luck, cheering Jane on. But that was fine. It really was... Right? But, it was amusing, how seemingly bad she felt about it. Like... Her. Devon. Devon Reeves was worried about spilled coffee on someone else. Most of who she already met up with wouldn't care one bit, cuss her out and just be on their way. "I'll take the offer on the dry cleaning, though. If that's okay, um... I'm kinda strapped for cash right now. I... I like your music... By the way... God, was that cringe? Bet that was so cringe...."

After finishing up her most recent interview with the press, Devon started on her way back to her dressing room to start preparing for the show that night. She took the cup of coffee offered to her by her assistant as the other filled her in on her itinerary for the rest of the day, not paying much attention as she walked forward. It was moments later that she collided with someone, her coffee spilling over both of them. ❝What the—❞ she started to scold the other before realizing that the collision had been her fault. ❝Shit, I'm so sorry.❞ Turning to her assistant, she asked them to give her a moment, turning back to the one she'd run into as the assistant scurried away. ❝That was my fault, I apologize. I'll have my team cover dry cleaning if needed.❞
