What do y'all think went through Jan-Olof's head when he went to collect the Crown Prince from school because he threatened to abdicate because of his ex, and then walked into the classroom to find said Crown Prince sitting right next to said ex?

Just like... what were his thoughts in that moment?

Because the night before it was "I'm going to abdicate. Simon's on a date with someone else. I hate you all." and then the next day they were sitting next to each other in class. And we know they weren't on good terms but Jan-Olof doesn't know jack shit.

But instead of responding, Jan-Olof ignored the question and changed the conversation.

At that few seconds of silence switched to a different conversation probably had made Wille realize that no matter how many attempt he does to reach out and have a civil communication to the court/the queen, they are never going to listen to him. Considering that bursting out of emotions already meant threat to them.

At this point, it was clear that they will only hear what they want to hear and they will only answer what they wanna answer.

Maybe that thought made everything suffocating. That if he could not reach out to the court/the queen because nobody would listen to him, how will he even protect Simon?

And maybe that's why when he got the courage to do the speech, he chose to be honest in front of the crowd because if the court/the queen will not listen to him, maybe they will when the rest of the world are listening because who do they even care about? Their reputation. The tradition. Which was one of the main reason why Simon could not sing his own song.

I think this is one of the loveliest moments of Season 2.

After Simon has had his say, it's Wilhelm having his. It's gentle but possessive. It's showing not saying "I heard you and I want you too" and "I wish I could stay here with you" and "I have so much more to say" and "Thank you" and "Does this mean I can really have you?" and it makes me want to cry.

Things I want to see happen in Season 3 of Young Royals, in no particular order.

1. August’s body dysmorphia and eating disorder addressed. Not because I want any kind of redemption arc for him (I don’t!), but because he’s a human being with an undiagnosed illness. Even if he’s a louse.

2. So, Sara has stopped boarding at Hillerska and gone back home. I want to see Simon unable to even look at her without feeling betrayed. And I want Linda to pick up on the fact that her kids hate each other right now, even if they don’t tell her why. Linda was remarkably unobservant in S2. Also, it suddenly occurs to me why they had Sara turn 18 in S2. So she could make a statement about August’s actions without Linda having to be there. If Sara’s no longer a minor, she doesn’t need a parent chaperoning her to a police interview.

3. Felice to get an actual storyline of her own. Felice is glorious, but she spent all of S2 being Wille’s Emotional Support Human, with occasional breaks where she got to talk about her horse. She needs a story! Not necessarily a romance, but some kind of plot. We could bring back her mother. Smysan Ehrencrona would be livid if she found out Felice had it within her power to sex up the Crown Prince (in 2.03) and didn’t do so.

4. Micke. Not because I think he’s a good dad, he’s clearly anything but. But now Simon and Wille are public, I think someone from the tabloids will track down Mr Eriksson Sr and it’ll be a car crash of an interview.

5. Jan-Olof and Simon interacting. In any way.

I’m sure I’ll think of more later.

Simon was so genuinely happy about his solo and I was so genuinely happy for him. Fuck Jon-Olaf. Public enemy number one. If I ever see him it’s on-site. Will not hesitate to smack a bitch.
