The Barefoot Journey

Hi I’m Jamie. Welcome to my blog.

I felt the need to explain why my page was titled the way it was. Some of you wouldn’t care less, however, I do find it fitting to have this topic for my first post.

Barefoot.

Would you dare walk with uncovered feet? While walking on roads that you have no idea of what lies ahead? That even if you can see the surface, you won’t really know unless you feel it on your skin.

Barefoot.

Wouldn’t that make you so vulnerable to pain? That even if the ground you’re walking on seemed so harmless, it is still with uncertainty because there are these little things that might tickle or hurt your bare feet.

Will I walk barefoot? Yes. 

If given another chance, will I choose otherwise? NO.

Why?

Walking on barefoot makes me appreciate life more.

Life can only be best described when you experience it rather than just see it. To immerse yourself in adventures rather than just pass them by. To be open to all things that life has to offer. To make mistakes and learn from it. To fall hard and stand strong. To feel the pain and finally laugh about it moving forward. To experience life with less inhibitions, less worries and less pessimism is like a barefoot journey. Leaving you exposed and uncovered, no shield nor zone of comfort but gives you the opportunity to understand and enjoy life way deeper.
