It pisses me off how people are acting like Lyra is Grayson's "meat"💀. Like i just saw someone's comment saying "she was just a love interest, she just thirst over Grayson..." and let's bffr now. Jameson is Avery's love interest right? But i've never ever heard anyone calling him that, but Lyra is a female character that finds a boy attractive (i mean like come on it's Grayson Hawthorne) so OF COURSE "she is just a love interest"🤦🏻♀️. Also i think y'all forgot that the girl is literally traumatized and the only thing she wants is to know the truth about her father and his death. Like did we forget that she hated Grayson and the Hawthornes in TBH when she called him on the phone?

I have a headcanon that Jameson has the highest pain tolerance compared to the rest of the brothers.
He gets wounds pretty often and I can also picture him standing in the shower after getting one, just watching the water turn a bloody colour, feeling the sting and somehow basking in it.
Self-destruction is his coping mechanism so he pushes past the hurt and it adds up with his masochistic behaviour -> "it hurts but I want it to hurt more because I don't know what else to feel".
I know that there are people out there who hate Jameson because of what he loves - games, riddles, traps. I know (one of the reasons) they hate him is because he can be very focused and immersed in a game to the point he might appear as though he doesn't have an ounce of self-awareness.
What I'm saying is... we always see how much Grayson suffers in silence. We see how much he's broken, the thoughts that go on in his head (especially about Emily), the way that he always HAD to be perfect for his grandfather and for the legacy. But we never saw that side of Jameson. The side that was vulnerable. The side that didn't play the Pretend Nothing Happened Game.
Honestly speaking, I think Jameson has been playing that game most of his life. He's pretending that it doesn't hurt, and he wants it to hurt more. It has hurt. So much to the point that he's numb.
So maybe watching him play a game, focusing everything he has on it, and not caring about anything else in the world doesn't mean he has no self-awareness.
Maybe it means that he just needs it to hurt less. Maybe it means that he needs to feel instead of staying numb all of the time.

Seriously though, why was Jameson shirtless for like half the series? Like, why? What was the reason? To emphasize he’s hot? Cuz I think that was made pretty clear by all the shirtless scenes in The Inheritance Games and-cough cough-the hot tub scene in The Hawthorne Legacy which is probably the most emphasized scene of all for that particular reason. For crying out loud, the very first scene where we meet him is with him being shirtless on a balcony performing a balancing act while giving out riddles and being flirty with Avery. I just-

Those Moments
Warnings: none, just fluff and cute stuff
“Heiress?” Jameson called out, when he reached his late grandfather’s wing, which was now Avery’s wing. His heiress’ wing.
He opened the door to her bedroom and froze, mesmerised. Avery stood there, wearing floor-length gown with a fitted bodice and a flowing skirt, the color a vibrant shade of blue, which was elegant and glamorous. Jameson couldn’t believe his eyes. How could someone be so pretty, he thought.
On seeing Jameson in her doorway, Avery cleared her throat, which brought Jameson back to reality. “You are early.” Avery said.
“I’m early?” Jameson smiled his devastating smile—as Avery liked to say—and hugged her, “I didn’t realise.” She smiled and rested her head on his chest. Jameson cherished these moments with Avery. He loved to see her smiling.
“Come on now, we will be late.” Avery said. Jameson groaned, “Really heiress?”
“Really, Jameson.” She replied.
Avery stepped back a little, to look at him. “You are not looking bad. Pretty good, you know.” Jameson’s lips quirked, “Oh what a misery it is,” he sighed, “to be so handsome.”
Avery laughed. “God, I love you.”
Jameson smiled, not his usual smile, but the smile he smiled only for his heiress. “I know you do.”
“Avery,” someone knocked on her door, “It’s Alisa, come down, we have to leave.”
“Yeah, coming Alisa.” Avery replied. “So…”
“So…” Jameson repeated, “Shall we?” He offered his right arm to her.
“We shall.”
