Man. And I was ready to see ten year old Jamie get fed up and get confrontational / get some kind of angry kid arc or something
#q watches halloween#i wanted to see a ten year old outsmart michael okay. is that too much to ask. it would've been fun#jamie acting outside of both what Loomis wants her to do in his increasing paranoia *and* using that psychic connection or whatever#to her advantage#keep tina around and let her develop and step fully into the role of Jamie's guardian#anyway i paused the film on this close up shot of a tv screen that shows Michael's face#and in the very bottom left corner there's just this mother mary statue#and something about that visual did make me laugh thank#ALSO they had Jamie get that one violent impulse at the end of 4 and they should've leaned into that more#something something give Jamie an arc about overcoming those impulses / learning where to direct her anger#i KNOWW its a supernatural evil spirit thing but let Jamie manipulate it to her advantage. thatd be neat
