- udyati quickly bonded with jami and considers her a younger sister in all but blood. they're both (half) alien girls with abilities. jami, though much younger than udyati, is one of the few who understands what it's like being different, what it's like being able to do different things, what it's like to remain, to be the one left behind while others move on after they pass away.

- udyati would fight, die and kill for this kid and automatically appreciates people who are of similar mindsets when it comes to jami.

- she's very proud of jami and what she's accomplished on her own so far (though it also kind of breaks her heart). she's proud of jami's future accomplishments too. when it comes to present accomplishments, however, she's reading to jami and very slowly teaching jami how to read (and write).

- udyati gave jami a gulel (slingshot). just in case the kid ever needs to defend herself and her powers or fists won't cut it. together, they personalized it for her. it became an art's and craft afternoon at the rao residence.

- bonus headcanon: jami's gotten many a nickname from udyati.

- bonus headcanon #2: ankita is completely besotted with this kid; jami has udyati's mom wrapped around her pinky finger which no one expected. the same goes for udyati's childhood friends too. they all adore jami. it means that jami always has a place to go in alderesch.
