Hi, idk if anyone remembers me but i first created this blog quite some time ago. Its Eimhear here. 

I’m happy with the work the mods have done in order to keep this blog going.

I would like to thank them as without them this blog would have died a long time ago.

The reason why i took a break was due to health concerns. So, i took a break from tumblr as a whole. But now i’m back and im eager to read your stories. :)

With my return there will be some changes on my blog. James ofc will stay if he wants to help out. I’ll be making a discord for this blog too, and some other things as well. 

Anyways, its nice to be back on tumblr. Hope yer all doing good!

yes its me again, ur trash bag trash baby elle. as if i didn’t have enough kids already, i’ve picked up this actual crushed petal so here we gooooooooo here’s the story of grace 

history

adriel (there’s only one person who knows this is her actual name !!) is the daughter of the seelie queen. the queen kept her pregnancy hidden bc its actually quite hard for seelies to get pregnant and she didn’t want anyone knowing, thinking this was an opportunity for attack etc.

but adriel was a sickly fey child and so was basically an embarrassment and the queen was convinced she was going to die anyway so did as is custom and swapped her with a human child to help the fey bloodline progress

the baby, briefly named heather, was with these human parents until she was about 18 months old. the human parents died in a car accident and with no living relatives, baby heather was put into the system

baby heather, finally renamed grace, was adopted by a devout christian group, raised as part of a very close knit community that was solely focused on the church. they had very traditional, conservative, orthodox views on the bible (picture almost amish, mennonite kinda views but hadn’t chucked modern tech completely to the wayside)

she lived an incredibly sheltered life in the tiny village in the south, only knew people from the church community, was taught to be quiet, modest, ‘seen but not heard’ etc. 

she was always told she was going to marry a boy from the church group, a few months after her 18th birthday the wedding would happen

buT THEN HE CAME INTO TOWN

he pretended to be a travelling preacher, he’d been robbed and was in desperate need of help. the church took him in and soon everyone was falling under his spell. he stayed to work with them, charmed them, and grace fell entirely in love with him

they slept together (makING HER UNPURE FOR HER MARRIAGE *GASP*) and he basically tricked most of the town into giving up their life savings before getting the fuCK OUT 

grace was flat out heart broken and her community was in tatters. and then she found out...ding ding ding SHE WAS PREGNANT

her community and family kicked her out for shaming them and basically being a harlot and whatnot

she moved from town to town, kept the baby, tried to work, had to live on the streets at some points (seriously girl had it tough and she is not a tough cookie)

but it was all fine because she was going to have this beautiful baby to make everything ok....except when she gave birth, the baby had wINGS. luckily (talk about deus ex machina) one of the nurses helping her was a warlock. they realised that she had no idea what she or her baby were. they glamoured the baby and explained the truth to grace; why she had always had an affinity for nature, what her baby was, why she was the onLY ONE WHO HAD NOTICED THE CHARMING PREACHER DUDES POINTY EARS

the warlock put her in contact with Adriana and grace has been under addy's care ever since.she’s signed up to this bond because she needs to learn abt shadowworld, had nowhere else to go, and maybe?? she && her baby can have a home with the seelie court?? (at least until she realises seelies are manipulative s.o.b’s)

has never understood why she cant lie but is still terrible at “misappropriating the truth” like a lot of seelies do - like she cannot deceive for shit

just wants to raise her little butterfly winged baby faith (yep shes that corny) in a nice world where they don’t have to fight for scraps and everything is ok

actually still quite focused on religion, prays a lot, but has never been preachy, would not shove down your throat, just likes her quiet contemplation and prayer
