Any comedian who thinks ya' can't be funny no more is a crap comedian.

That said, the trouble with comedy (an' that's mostly what I do here, comedy via memes), is that if yer gonna be topical ya' gotta make jokes about things that are very serious. There ain't no formula to it. Oh, there's good practices, like always punchin' up, but there ain't no exact recipe fer comedy.

Ultimately, ya' gotta take a chance. Ya' have a joke in yer head, an' ya think it's funny, but will other people? If I, a man, make a joke about the Man or Bear thing, which is inherently about women suffering from SA an' harassment, is it gonna be funny?

Only way ta' find out is by tellin' the joke.

An' when I screw up (an' I do, an' I will, it's part a' comedy), ya' poozers'll tell me so, hopefully constructively. An' that's very valuable fer any comedian ta' have, so long as they ain't pig-headed enough ta' just get mad that anyone would dare!
