hey! sorry for a totally rando message but i totally consider you the umich Expert so and this is a big thing in fics but a couple years ago when thom, kent, owen, matty, briss, etc were all on the same team, was it ever confirmed which of them lived with which? i know i've seen it talked about in fics but i can never tell if it's just hc or bending some version of the truth. thank you!! 🤎

i have so many thoughts and feelings about this, because this is EXACTLY the kind of topic i love talking most about!!! if i could have a million anons asking me about random umich knowledge, that'd be the dream.

so yes, as resident umich Expert 🤓, i do in fact know who lived with who that year! and it's not just headcanons, because most of the time, i would say people are pretty stick pretty close to reality when it comes to the rooming arrangements.

the unknowns category is mostly because we never got confirmation that these guys lived together? i suspect older guys like gvw and luke morgan lived off campus with their girlfriends or smth, and i really just cannot remember for the life of me if it was steve or jay who took the last room at castle black 😂

there's also the debate of whether or not a 5th hockey house truly existed in that year, because bords said 5 in an interview once, but there's just never been enough evidence to sleuth out a 5th.

other fun hockey house lore is how canadians house and seniors house are literally next door to each other but have completely separate vibes, and how christine beniers funded granger until bords and matty left and kicked jacob out.

summary: you watch the freshmen mock rock performance and your boyfriend showcases his moves

pairing: Ethan Edwards x reader

You covered your face as you watched your boyfriend move his hips on the stage with his fellow freshman teammates. He had showed you their performance before hand but seeing it on stage definitely had a different feeling. 

Ethan had the biggest smile on his face as he continuously looked at you in the crowd emphasising his movements to get a reaction out of you.

You were a couple months older than Ethan which made you a sophomore despite being the same age. Brendan claimed you as his best friend as soon as you sat next to him on your first day of lectures when the boys wouldn’t.

Your best friend slapped your arm pointing at Ethan as he stood in front of the line shaking his hips before being pantsed by Mark. Eddy pointed at you as he walked to the back of the line blowing you a kiss which you returned. 

You cheered loudly as Ethan did a backflip catching that on camera as well as Mackie and Dylan’s little section after. 

Thomas Bordeleau’s girlfriend sneaked in next to you and asked what happened. “Well, they all did the griddy and the freshmen got pantsed by each other.” you explained as the sophomores made room for Bords as he threw monopoly money. 

When the two of you heard WAP beginning to play you two looked at each other and started recording as he completed the dance. “I don’t think I can ever look at him the same anymore” Saira told you as he hid her face in your shoulder. 

Johnny Beecher came on stage and asked the crowd to vote for the winner. Obviously you cheered loudly for your boyfriend and his friends but the sophomores ended up winning. 

you were about to make your way backstage to see Ethan when Jake Gingell was called on stage and Bords was left loitering around. Saira clamped onto your arm as you both watched in horror as Bords gave Jake a lap dance. 

“Well Saira, you’re going to have an eventful night.” you joked earning a slap from the older girl. “Y/N! I don’t know whether to be turned on or terrified.” she answered as you both met your boyfriends. 

Ethan wrapped his arms around you and lifted you up before placing a kiss on your lips. “So what did you think?” he asked wrapping his arm around your shoulder, you stole his hat and placed it on your head before grabbing his chain and kissing him again. 

“How about you show me those moves again.” you whispered in his ear before pulling away. 

He gulped before blushing and grabbing your hand “sorry guys, I can’t come for dinner. Y/N/N isn’t feeling too well.” he announced walking away from the group as they chirped him.
