Jaja’s 30 Days of Song

Decided to do this. Only 13 days before it hits half a year since you left. I should have thought of this 2 days ago, but it is okay. So, I shall start this today.

While I appreciate it is mentioned that it is originally from Sarawak. It is NOT Malaysian 3 Layered Tea. It’s Sarawak Three Layered Tea or Teh C Peng Special. As a born and bred Sarawakian, I have that pride.

ALSO… ORIGINALLY, we use GULA APONG (a sweeter version of the gula Melaka). Gula Melaka has a more sourish taste compared to the gula apong.

Am loving this Restricted Movement Order because I get to stay at home. Muahaha! 

Someone asked me, “How do you keep yourself sane?” 

STAY OFF FACEBOOK. 

Well, I have not been sane lately because of Facebook, let me tell you that. I keep myself sane from watching movies (on my HDD and on Netflix), play games on my PS, write my fics, karaoke on an app called WeSing. 

I mean, it is NOT difficult staying at home. 

However, the only difficult thing about it is, having to go out to get groceries and practising social distancing when people are not doing it. 

Other than that, I am just happy to be at home. 

Also, guess what... We are entering that 4th week of RMO, and I hope for an extension because there are some COVIDIOTIC Malaysians who are still stubborn af.

“What the f-?” I murmured under my breath. “YOU are the god of war?”

“Erm, yeah?” the boy stammered. Honestly, as a person who games during her free time, I was expecting someone who looked like Kratos. I expected a scarred stoic muscular man, who could actually kill you with one slap to stand before me. Instead, a kid, no older than 12-years-old stood before me. When his fringe fell over his face, he did not bother to sweep it behind his ears. It came to the point that I wasn’t sure if he was afraid of me or I was of him. But, I was not able to conceal my shock at the sight of him. “Were you expecting someone else?” he asked as his ruby coloured eyes studied my every movement.

“Not really,” I confessed, scratching the back of my head. “I expected someone...”

“Anybody who’ve opened that portal says that they expect to find someone like Ares, or Odin! The Irish I’ve met expect me to have boobs! I am a boy! Is it wrong being the way I am?” he burst.

I took a few steps back when I noticed the black aura surrounding him as he went on grumbling. My legs felt heavy, as much as I wanted to make a run for it, but as he slowed down with his outburst, I realised tears were flooding his eyes. Sympathy filled my chest.

It was then that I understood that the god of war is one of the most inaccurately described deities in many mythological lores.

When you learned of the god of war, you thought he’d be tall and muscular and angry. When you were about to meet him, you braced yourself for the worst.

You weren’t quite expecting the short, scrawny, shy kid you ended up getting instead.

While other people are baking for the upcoming Eid, I am assembling Lego. 😅

So, I saw @ebonyphotographs doing this and I am bored. It feels weird having to stay at home on a Saturday*. I am either out and about, working or in tutorials. * I queued this 😅

1. Nickname? Well now, I have so many. Friends on Tumblr call me Jez, friends in real life mostly call me Jaja or Shano. My Aunt calls me “Pusak” (cat in my local Malay dialect). 

2. Myer-Briggs type? INFP and proud! 

3. Star sign? Pisces. 

4. Height? 5 feet 4 inches. 

5. Favorite feature? My dimples :P Occassionally, my natural curly hair :D

6. Favourite colour? Blue, red and black. 

7. Favourite food? I love pasta. I am not Italian but I just love pasta. But overall, I love seafood. Malaysia has the best seafood and nothing can change my mind. 

8. Favourite animal? CATS. But I love all animals, to be fair. 

9. Dogs or cats??? CATS. 

10. How many pets do you have? I have 2 cats (they even have their own Instagram account @kirbynsassy). 2 Indian Star Tortoises (don’t worry, they are licensed). And uncountable fish. 

11. Average hours spent sleeping? Ugh. Only 6 hours because I try to go to sleep by midnight as I wake up at 6 to send my niece to school. Quite honestly, I wake up automatically at 6 something, every single day. 

12. Number of blankets you sleep with? Two. If only I can find those affordable weighted blankets here in Malaysia. 

13. Number of pillows you sleep with? About seven? Heh.

14. What’s your dream trip? Japan. I WANT TO GO TO JAPAN BUT IT IS SO BLEEDING EXPENSIVE! 

15. Best places to visit in your town/country? If you love nature, Sarawak (one of the 13 States of Malaysia). Yes, I am being biased. It is where I come from. We’ve got several caves (The Fairy Cave, The Wind Cave, and the famous Mulu Cave) here. And we’ve got animal sanctuaries. We’ve got several mountains. Yeah. Sarawak is the best place to go to.  

16. Favorite ice cream flavor? Chocolate. Raspberry Ripple. 

17. What’s an ideal day like for you? Being able to sleep in, doing absolutely nothing. My job does not permit such ideas. T_T

18. Favourite book/book series? My absolute favourite is To Kill A Mockingbird.

19. Favourite movie/movie series? Too many but to name one; The Labyrinth. The one with David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly. 

20. Favourite video game/video game series: A huge fan of the Assassin’s Creed series. I’ve played almost all their games. Haha. Including the one for mobile. Although... I am NOT OVER Final Fantasy XV just yet.
