KONTROBERSYAL NA LOVE TEAM SA PINAS!

Sa panahon ngayon, imposibleng ilarawan ang showbiz ng Pilipinas nang walang loveteams. Ang isang loveteam ay tumutukoy sa isang pares na binubuo ng mga artista na itinatanghal sa publiko bilang isang romantikong pares. Habang ang ilang mga onscreen loveteams ay tumatawid sa totoong buhay, at minsan ay nagkakatuluyan bilang mag asawa. Ang konsepto ng mga loveteam ay nagsimula noong 1920s dahil sa pagsimula ng sinehan ng Pilipinas. Ang tandem nina Gregorio Fernandez at Mary Walter na nagbida sa mga tahimik na pelikula sa bansa noong 1920s ay itinuturing na tagapagpauna ng konsepto ng love team sa Sinehan ng pilipinas. Ang iba pang pares ay naging tanyag tulad nina Rogelio dela Rosa at Carmen Rosales noong 1950s, Tirso Cruz III at Nora Aunor noong 1960s at 1970s, Gabby Concepcion at Sharon Cuneta noong 1980s, Rico Yan at Claudine Barretto, Marvin Agustin at Jolina Magdangal sa noong 1990s, John Lloyd Cruz at Bea Alonzo noong 2000s. Ngunit may mga loveteams den na nagkakahiwalay at gumagawa ng maingay na isyu na pinaguusapan sa buong bansa.

Bakit nga ba nagkaroon ng hiwalayan ang mga tandem na ito? Sino ang nakipaghiwalay at bakit?

Narito ang ilan sa mga pinaguusapang loveteam breakup sa Pilipinas:

1. ALDUB (ALDEN RICHARDS AND “YAYA DUB” MAINE MENDOZA)

Nagsimula: Hulyo 16, 2015

Natapos: kalagitnaan ng 2018

 Ang loveteam nina Alden Richards at Maine Mendoza ay "hindi sinasadya" na nabuo noong Hulyo 2015 sa isang segment ng Eat Bulaga.

 Bilang si Yaya Dub, si Maine ay dapat na maging mukhang matigas na katulong ni Donya Nidora (ginampanan ni Wally Bayola). Gayunpaman, nang makita ni Maine si Alden na nakatingin sa kanya habang nasa studio siya, hindi niya mapigilang mapangiti sa celebrity crush niya. Naging daan ito upang magkaroon sila ng isang "split-screen" na pag-ibig na naitala sa pamamagitan ng segment na "Kalyeserye" ng Eat Bulaga. Simula noon, ang buong bansa ay na-hook na at umaasa na lahat sila ay makasaksi ng isang reel-turn-real romance. Gayunpaman, nanatiling magka-trabaho sina Alden at Maine at patuloy na pagho-host ng isang noontime show.

 2. JADINE (JAMES REID AT NADINE LUSTRE)

Nagsimula: Agosto 2015

Natapos: Enero 20, 2020

 Ang love team na JaDine ay nagsimula noong Agosto 2015 ng magtagpo ang kanilang landas at naging leading lady ni James si Nadine sa isang music video ng “Alam Niya Ba”. Ito naman ay nasundan ng pelikulang hango sa top-selling na libro na nag-mula sa Wattpad, “Diary ng Panget” masasabi natin na dito nag-simula at gumanda ang takbo ng kanilang tandem. Nasundan ang kanilang proyekto at mas lalo pa ngang nakilala ng madami ang loveteam ng JaDine ng pagbidahan nila ang isang prime time telenobela sa ABS-CBN ang On the Wings of Love (or OTWOL). Pebrero 2016 ng niyanig ng Jadine ang buong Pilipinas ng ianunsyo nila sa kanilang concert ang relasyon at pinatunayan na sila ay #TeamReal na nga. Namayagpag ng mahigit limang taon sa industriya ang JaDine at tumanggap ng mga proyektong talaga naming tumatak sa mga manunuod. Ngunit, noong Enero 2020 nagulat ang lahat nang ianunsyo nila ang kanilang paghihiwalay.

 3. JOSHLIA (JOSHUA GARCIA AT JULIA BARRETTO)

Nagsimula: 2016

Natapos: June 2019

 Sinasabing hindi plinano at hindi inaasahan ang tambalan nina Joshua Garcia at Julia Baretto. Si Julia Baretto ay galing sa pamilya ng mga nasa “showbiz”. Si Joshua Garcia naman ay nagsisimula pa lamang matapos na mapabilang sa Pinoy Big Brother noong 2014. Una silang nagkatambal sa Metro Manila Film Festival Entry na Vince & Kath & James noong 2016. Nagustuhan ng mga taga hanga ng dalawa ang kanilang “on-screen chemistry”. Dahil dito’y nabuo ang tambalang JoshLia. Nasundan pa ito ng mga pelikula’t teleserye na pinagbidahan ng dalawa. Sila rin ay naging magkasintahan at kinumpirma nila ito noong April 3, 2019 nang sabay na maglabas ng litrato ang dalawa sa kanilang Instagram na may caption na “dalawang taon”. Lumalabas na April 3, 2017 nagsimulang maging magkasintahan ang dalawa. Ngunit katulad ng ilan, dumanas din ang dalawa ng pagsubok sa kanilang relasyon nang mapabalita ang pag-iwan ni Joshua ng maiksing Instagram direct message sa isang female netizen noong March 2018. Nilagyan ito ng malisya ng mga tao at mayroong kumalat na isang facebook private chat nina Joshua Garcia at nasabing netizen. June 2019 naghiwalay sina Joshua Garcia at Julia Baretto na mas kilala sa tambalang JoshLia. Itinaggi ng dalawa na ang dahilan ng kanilang hiwalayan ay “Third Party”. Ang huling pelikulang pinagtambalan ng dalawa ay “Block Z”.

 Ilan lamang ito sa mga kontrobersyal na loveteam sa Pilipinas. Katulad sa ilang pelikula hindi man naging “happy ending” ang kanilang mga kwento nawa ay nakapagbigay sila ng inspirasyon, kasiyahan at kilig sa kanilang mga taga hanga. Hi! My name is Charlene Cayanan (hopefully i get the add code soon). I am a second year at SF State. I was born and raised in Hayward, CA. I am Filipino-American, United Methodist (Christian), and a feminist. If you haven’t seen the magazine picture, I encourage you to read it. My story is what keeps me going and I live by the saying, “You only live once.” If you are unable to read it, I’ll just give you the short version; I have a twin sister and we were born with a rare disease called Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome which means my sister had more nutrients than me. We were born weighing only 1 pound each and I was suppose to die. If it wasn’t for the power of prayer, I wouldn’t be here today. This is why I go by that YOLO saying and it keeps me motivated to do anything and everything I can because I am healthy. I also like to think that God put me on this planet for a reason, I am still alive for a reason.

I am the youngest of 3, I have an older brother who is currently a nurse, and a twin sister who is studying at SJSU. I have two parents who have stable jobs and I love them. They are literally goals. They definitely showed me what selfless love is and I can’t thank them enough. My older brother is my role model, I look up to him. He definitely knows wsup, keeps me in check and his friends got my back. My sister is my go-to person, she’s always there for me. She’s so dedicated to her studies and inspires me to be more studious. We’re definitely social butterflies. 

In high school I was apart of many programs including Varsity Cheerleading, AP Studio Art, and the Filipino Club. Being in cheer and AP Art pushed me to my boundaries. I never knew I could be so well at these two things. I never knew I could be a flyer and get thrown in the air. I never would have thought I could be cheer captain. I never knew I could draw. I didn't have faith in myself, but I did it! I also won Most School Spirit and Prom Princess. I’ve also performed at a Raiders Game. I’ve achieved so much and have done so much so far.

Coming into SF I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. Of course, I tried to pursue nursing, however, I’m currently trying to switch my major into AAS and hopefully becoming a teacher.

San Francisco has changed my life. I love love love to explore and eat good food. I have a bucket list and my goal is to go everywhere on that list. I’ve been to majority of the museums offered in SF. I’ve been to a lot of the landmarks, including the ones you see on T.V. like the “That’s So Raven” House and “Full House.” I have been to hella concerts and met so many artists. I am obsessed with OTWOL/JADINE. My favorite thing to do is explore and see what SF has to offer. There is so much to do. So many beautiful sunsets and I can literally hang out from 10am till midnight. I’m so down to explore as long as I am free. There are so many good food places here in SF.... My fav has to be Griddle Fresh, San Tung, and Purple Kow. 

 I love being with people but I also love being independent. I’m always down for a deep talk and getting to know people on a deeper level.

the sound of 2017, a.k.a some of the songs i got in to the previous year.

john mayer’s In the Blood, The Search for Everything - the first time i heard this song and the first lyric rolled out (how much of my mother has my mother left in me?), i was f’in floored. i’ve always been a mayer fan, and although he has probably more extraordinary tracks in his TSFE album, this was the one that stuck to me the most. the pangs of emotion the familial fears + need for individuality that the song brought out in me had me adding it to spotify playlists in a jiffy.

LANY’s Super Far, LANY - i’ll be honest. for the longest time, i thought LANY was overrated/over hyped with their song ILYSB becoming such a big hit, but i found myself listening to them with a little more of an open heart and instantly regretted every bad thing i said about them, especially with this song. i had this on repeat + scream-sung the chorus so many times towards the end of 2017. another rlly loved LANY song is Pink Skies! 

lauv’s I Like Me Better, I met you when I was 18. - lauv is another LANY-like situation! i’d avoided him for the longest time since he was always popping up in youtube ads, but i gave this song a listen (along with Paris in the Rain) and found myself actually enjoying the bops. 

khalid’s Location, American Teen - this is the typa song you’d get high to (but since i don’t do drugs, i just vibe to it lmao) and after finding out that this was, in fact, not a LANY song, as i had so previously stupidly believed, i was free to throw it in to my playlists and hum along to the lyrics i never got around to memorizing. 

louis tomlinson’s Miss You - i have always, always been a 1D girl (#guiltyascharged), and more so, a louis girl! this was such a f’in bop. when the music stops towards the end of the chorus and he deadass says ‘shit, maybe i miss you’? what a concept. i love my boobear. (also, the fact that the first line in Just Like You is it’s the guy from the one band had me WILDIN the first time i heard it.) 

niall horan’s Flicker (Acoustic), Flicker - echoing my louis trash self, i have always had a soft spot for niall. after the 1D fall out, i found myself gravitating towards his music the most - soulful, soft pop. i remember the acoustic version of Flicker dropping while i was in filipino class, and despite being in the front row, i managed to still watch it. anything for my boy/s. chz. (special shout out to Too Much To Ask for also breaking my heart!)

dua lipa’s New Rules, Dua Lipa - ‘OMG, you call LANY overrated but you jammed to New Rules? you’re such a hypocrite!’ blah, blah, blah. i got it. but, damn. this was on repeat for weeks. i listened to it until i hated it. i can probably sing this in my sleep. the mv aesthetics + the fact dua lipa is so darn pretty? absolute bop. 

the juans’ cover of rivermaya’s Balisong, official OST of 100 Tula Para Kay Stella - although the movie turned out to be by a dick director + quite underwhelming overall, the juans’ soft version of a rivermaya classic warms the little parts of me that have had to go through unrequited love.

taylor swift’s Call It What You Want, Reputation - though Look What You Made Me Do was my guilty pleasure when it dropped, the first time i listened to Call It What You Want reminded me of Red circa taylor with a little more pop. when she sang you don’t need to save me, but would you run away with me?, i felt that damn lyric in my bones. t swift still has it, yo.

james reid’s Turning Up, Palm Dreams - james has that electronic/hip-hop vibe that western songs usually ride on, and although the lyrics is nothing but your softcore party jam, i can imagine screaming along to it at one of his concerts + his MVs always have great plots/cinematography, and the fact that it’s jadine (james reid x nadine lustre) has my shipper heart a-flutter. 

ben&ben’s Leaves - along with Kathang Isip! a classmate is a big fan of ben&ben, and he played it a couple of times in class. i overheard and looked up ben&ben, only to fall in love with their chill vibe and sweet lyrics. the first time i heard you never really love someone until you learn to forgive (from Leaves), it made me feel a lil sorta something.

ed sheeran’s ÷ album - o.k, so, this album dropped in march while i was on an alleged social media hiatus, but it was so good that i emerged from my hobbit hole to run through it. am i a little bit biased because i’ve loved ed since his 5 album? maybe. maybe i am. but ÷ was a masterpiece; my top three are Happier, Save Myself, and Dive.
