Today's tea: Another green tea from Adagio's Masters Tea branch: tai lake pi luo chun has a lovely nutty aroma, although I don't taste that as much. Pretty good overall but a bit more bitter than I'd like. (I did brew it for 3 minutes as recommended on the bag; I should probably try it at 2 minutes like I usually do for green tea and see if that's better.)

Today's knit: Finished with the first sleeve! I ended up with just an inch and a half of the ribbing for the cuff; I probably would have been all right with two inches but I do still expect it to stretch out a bit in blocking and I really don't like cuffs getting in the way of my hands, so we're playing it safe. XD The nice thing about a sweater design like this that is knit all in one piece with no seaming to do at the end, is that I can repeatedly try the whole thing on to see just how long that sleeve actually is and stop before I go too far!

Today's tea: Peach Pie from the Summer Collection at Never Not Knitting. It's delightfully peachy (with a hint of cinnamon) and I got some very cute peach stitch markers to go with it, though they're not featured in today's knit since the order hadn't yet arrived when I was setting up a zillion markers on that needle to keep track of which cable goes where.

Today's knit: I've started the Maleme Cardigan, using Knit Picks City Tweed DK in the gorgeous Jacquard colorway! A couple of years ago I used City Tweed to make a sweater my sister had requested and it was such a pleasure to work with that when my mom gave me a Knit Picks gift card that Christmas, I ordered a sweater's worth for myself, and finally I'm getting started on the sweater! Keeping track of three cable patterns in the right order - but small, 8 or 10 stitch wide cable panels - is just the right amount of challenging (I say, having already mixed up cable B and cable C on like row 2 of the pattern, but hey, row 2 is like the shoulder seam so who'll see? Only you and I will know, dear Tumblristas. :-D) and fun to see the overall pattern emerge out of pretty simple 2x2 cable stitches.

非常に面白いポケット群。 通常のポケットの他、膝とバックヨークシームに大きなスラッシュポケットが配置されています。 ハンティング物からの着想なんですかね。 また生地にはコーディングが施されており、全体的にだいぶ病んだ印象。 フロントトップをベルクロで留めるこのシリーズ。 基本様子がおかしいので大好きです。

90’s LEVI’S SILVER TAB Cotton / Nylon Twill Multi Pocket Pants [W32]

もう一つ同じベルクロパッチモデル。 こちらはBDUスタイルのカーゴポケット付き、その内側にジップスリットのギミックあり。 このポケットがだいぶ前身頃寄りに配置されていて、穿くとなんだか好戦的な雰囲気が強く出ます。 でもSILVER TABだからフレンドリーです。 これも大好きです。

ボディ/スナップ/別生地すべてブラック。 配色について何も考える必要が無いのに、地味に出てくれないヤツ。 うーん、今回はちょっと付属類の黒のトーン変えてみる？ そういう感じなのかな。笑
