To this day, I think Ar Tonelico 2 remains THE absolute game ever among those I've played. There's nothing out there like it. The deep dive VR psyche-world therapy sessions. Bath bombs to chill with the homies and boost stats. Akiko Shikata going hogwild as she plays a chorus by herself. The excruciatingly in-depth conlang. Playing the combat system like you're tuning an oscilloscope to get your pussy blasted by REPLEKIA. Whatever the hell's going on with Jacqli. There will never be anything like it again

OKay gotta come off anon- I've played all 3 games! Honestly my fave Reyvateils have been Shurelia from the first game and Jacqli. Lmao but considering who Jacqli is in the first game, and that kind of turn around plot twist is one of my fave troops, she was basically set up to be my #1. I actually didn't like the girls in 3 as much. But I love the music across all the games.

I like Hilda’s singing voice fine, but I honestly can’t help but think of Noriko Mitose fitting her really well from Ar Tonelico as Mir/Jacqli . Songs like this, (x), (x).

sylvie as the maiden of mio because she’d totally be all for creating a paradise for people’s sake just like cloche, and aidan as the maiden of homura - albeit in a modified ver. of her outfit lmao - because, well, that’s the only other option aside from jacqli and that’s unfortunate to choose.
