It’s time to seek out & breath life back into the ghosted LGBTQ+ non-AngloSaxon & women Torchbearers of History like Mall Frith b Mary 1584-1659 who defied the prejudice of gender stereotypes to live, smoke, act on stage & fight as a man for his king in 1642, shooting Puritan Parliamentarian in the shoulder. He was buried as a #hero in St Brides Church #fleetstreet a marble tomb engraved with John Milton’s poem to him celebrating Transgenderism He was celebrated as a Royalist Hero & eccentric long after his death in the Restoration & beyond but criminalised & maligned by Victorian Protestant bigots in the 19th century.
