hyuck honestly didn’t know what to say. for the first time in his life he was speechless as he sat in the corner of the living room and stared straight ahead at his two friends on the dance floor.

he nervously sipped his water, unable to fathom a correct response to watching his childhood best friend in a spider-man costume kiss his next door neighbor best friend dressed as cat woman. especially on halloween and especially not when mark had started to get in contact with people in la.

“maybe it’s coincidence.” he hummed into his water.

“what’s coincidence?”

hyuck yelped, spilling the water down his face with a groan. he turned to see the culprit, none other than an alcohol induced glowing jaemin.

“you bitch, you made me spill.” hyuck whined, making room for the blonde to sit beside him on the measly sofa in the frat living room.

“you didn’t answer the question hyuckie, what coincidence?”

hyuck froze, not knowing whether to say anything or not. he wasn’t quite sure when ‘markyn’ started or even if mark was vocal about whatever was going on, or IF there was something going on, but the look in mark’s eyes as hyuck made eye contact with him post kiss was enough to threaten the ray of sunshine into silence.

“umm how this party is lame as hell and jackson wang is the one throwing it” he lied. he winced as he did, hyuck was a terrible liar.

however drunk jaemin didn’t seem to care, laughing at hycuk’s observation and clapping him on the knee as he laughed.

“‘m not that funny.” hyuck protested awkwardly, suddenly hyper aware of everything and everyone in the small cramped house.

he sighed, leaning against jaemin and settling in the couch. he wasn’t gonna go anywhere anytime soon. he figured mark would talk things out with him later, he was sure that him and yn needed to talk about whatever happened amongst themselves anyways.

it was out of the blue, hyuck thought. sure they started to hang out all day everyday together the last two month but he never figured it would develop any meaningful connection.

mark had told hyuck at the beginning of that summer that he had no plans of making any new connections. he had plans to leave to la after graduation to start his music career, “so why bother?” he had said.

hyuck’s mind reeled at the thing he accidentally witnessed. his friends were secluded in the middle of the dance floor, hiding unbeknownst amongst bodies and flashing lights, maybe it was a spur of the moment kiss. he knew timbaland had that effect on people in a clubish setting…

he ran a hand through his hair and looked at jaemin, “do you wanna go get food?”

the blonde nodded, standing and fixing his matching vampire costume. “yeah, wanna go get pizza?”

“yeah, sounds good”

SYNOPSIS. two people who couldn’t be more alike but so different at the same time. y/n and minho are both the captain of their respective soccer teams and they absolutely despise each other. well more like minho despises y/n, for something she didn’t even do. now with the school threatening to defund the teams with the least amount of wins, the twos rivalry is pushed to a whole new level as they go head to head with each other, fighting for the spotlight.
