This is so cool but the scale of it is really fucking me up, are they tiny little candles? Thimble buckets? The feathers, the stamps, I can’t tell how big anything is! Will you post a picture with a hand for scale?? ����

Sorry! Small nope voice says nope to more photos. If it helps, the candle is a small 4″ chime candle and the stamps are stamp sized. The whole shelf is made from a section of an old wood pallet.

I Was A Teenage Werewolf, written by @pmbuchan & illustrated by @jackfallows. This was the third one-page comic strip that I created for SCREAM: The Horror Magazine, late 2011 or early 2012. We later collected a coloured version of this strip in the pages of BLACKOUT II: YOLO. At the time I was LOVING combining horror with my teenage fondness for drinking until I blacked out. I should be more critical of my early work but I’m not, not even a little bit. When you can convince a man to draw a girl hungrily seeing her boyfriend as a chicken leg, you know you’re onto a good thing.

You don't need me to tell you this but your blog is great and gives voice to a lot of queer folx who might not find it elsewhere. I, and the other thirty thousand Tumblr users who liked/reblogged that post are with you. Pride, especially, sickens me. Sending anonymous hate is never conductive to real discussion or progress, rarely leads to the catharsis its author thinks it will and shows a real lack of character and conviction. Shame on them for not supporting all the voices of their community.

i wouldn’t go so far as shaming them for not supporting all of the voices in the community. after all, they themself happen to be one of those voices and their voice deserves to be heard as well. they just went about voicing themself in an incredibly poor manner….

There’ll be more photos to come soon but I needed to share this now! The tarot deck, puzzle game, coming of age story hybrid that @postcurious and I spent a year and a half developing and creating finally landed on doorsteps in the UK yesterday and I am STOKED. The Light in the Mist is one of the most ambitious projects I’ve ever worked on and the feedback and reviews we’ve been receiving for it have completely spun me out. Rita did all of the grunt work speaking to manufacturers, getting quotes and samples, test printings and tweaks made. Meanwhile I got to sit back and wait for the final, polished thing to arrive before I physically held anything in my hands and the sense of gratification is HEALING. I tend not to spend a lot of time revelling in this feeling before I move on to the next thing but on the advice of my therapist I’m going on record to say I am incredibly proud of the thing we’ve made here and I’m so excited to finally be sharing it with everyone. Huge thanks to everyone who helped make the Kickstarter the unprecedented success it ended up being! John Henry Split My Heart pt.1 In 2010, I made this 24hr comic (that’s a challenge where you stay awake for 24 consecutive hours and draw a 24 page comic with no planning ahead of time). Then, like now, I was obsessed with Jason Molina. So I thought I’d use his lyrics as inspiration. I was listening to ‘John Henry Split My Heart’ on the walk to the Tyneside Cinema where the event was happening and decided that would be the name of my protagonist.
