Some years back, Jack Donovan wrote a short piece called “Violence is Golden”.  That caught my eye so I read a bit more of his work.  When he designed the Conflict Rune, it was a beautiful thing because it tied tight to so many things I had been saying for decades.

So, with his consent, I carved a Conflict Bind Rune into one of the flint striker pendants I’m known for.  I thought the Crusader’s Shield would make for the perfect backdrop, and a couple hours later it was ready for photographing.

Hardened and tempered in the fires of the forge, like a warrior in battle, the pendant stands ready and will strike a hot spark when struck.

It's a deep and serious conversation about a deep and serious subject.
