anyone know what it means when corvids rub their beaks on stuff? because my guys do it literally All The Time on my windowsill and windowframe
#the window frame has that kind of rubber edge that i assume is useful for cleaning your beak after eating#but these fellas do it way lot more than i'd say is necessary for cleaning#reminds me of my cats rubbing their faces on stuff to claim them#which doesn't make much sense since birds don't have a strong sense of smell#birds#ornithology#corvid#corvids#jackdaws#jackdaw#jackdawposting
