Viktor’s Night being the antithesis of Jayce’s Day, the night coming when Viktor saves Jayce and the day shining when Jayce saves Viktor

Focusing on Jayce’s shoulders: his responsibilities vs Viktor’s cane: his disability. These are the main things the characters struggle with or against in their main character arcs. Both the shoulder and cane are also forms of support offered to the other carry the burden of being alone. They complete each other.

Despite their differences if not outright dichotomy, they both stand in the same place over the same drop for the same reason alone in the same halo shaped portal to a permanent last stop

I just thought about this: in the scene when Victor was showing Jace how Hexcore reacts to a plant, many people noticed that Victor was primarily thinking about how to help others, and Jace was the first to think that Victor could be saved. But it seems to me that there is a double bottom in this dialogue. I was very hooked by Victor's phrase: "This could be the key to improving physiology." I think that's how we were prepared for what would happen in the second season. Perhaps Victor's phrase refers to Jace's words.: "You've always tried to get rid of flaws. Your leg. Your illness." He talks about physical defects, about body defects. That's exactly what I think Victor told Jace, albeit indirectly: "It can save me. Please, let's try it. At least we'll prolong my life for a while." And Jace said, "I'll curing you." That's all. That was enough. That's why Victor was confident in his words when he said: "Jace will understand me."
