I was tagged by @misswhizzy. Sorry this took me a couple days; it's a long one!

1. When did you start watching Supernatural?

I think I binge-watched it on Netflix while s7 was airing. My best friend had been talked into watching it by an avid fan, and then he talked about it enough to get me curious. Not really into horror at all, but the brothers' drama, beauty, and humor hooked me.

2. Who is your favorite in TFW?

I cringe a little about the show recycling "TFW"; it feels like fan service to me. Dean has always been my fave character.

3. Who is your least favorite in TFW?

I think it's obvious from my blog that it's Castiel. I just lost interest in him after s7.

4. Tag your top 5 Supernatural blogs.

It’s hard to pick "top" ones, because I hate feeling like I'm leaving someone out. But Tumblr tells me that my current favorites are @secretsandgreeneyes, @jensen-jay, @lemondropsonice, @justjensenanddean, @spn-idjits-guide-to-hunting, @lipglosskaz, @imdreamingofhim, @deanjackles and @positiveexcellence, and I do love all of them! ❤️

5. Who is your favorite character (not including TFW)?

Tough choices... I'll go with Bela.

John's relationship with the boys is more fully realized and dramatically interesting to me.

8. What were your first opinions of Sam, Dean, Cas, and Jack?

Sam: I clearly remember watching s1 and thinking he had the sexiest voice. So suede. Dean: Impossible beauty? Actor is so talented? Athletic, too? and FUNNY?!! wtf #liferuiner Cas: Obsessed with Dean. Cryptic. Possibly constipated. Jack: Younger demographic.

11. Opinions on Destiel?

Heh, a Destiel shipper must have written this questionnaire. My general outlook is ship whatever you ship; try not to be an ass about it. However, I'm sad over how tribalized SPN fandom has become. I feel it's a reflection of issues in the real world. I feel that extreme shippers (the ones who cross over into real-world antipathy or believe a ship is "real") are a lot like conspiracy theorists, which in this political climate, is disturbing.

12. Do you believe Supernatural queerbaits?

Nah.

13. Seasons 1-7 or 8-14?

I adore s1-6. Outside of that, I like a lot of individual eps.

Ruby

15. Do you think they should end the Lucifer plot line?

Is there still a Lucifer plot line? It's just Nick now? I dunno, I just glaze over whenever he's on... I actually find it hard to concentrate on the show whenever he's onscreen. It's like the Peanuts grown-up's voice starts wah-wah-ing.

16. Who do you think has gone through more trauma (Sam, Dean, or Cas)?

To be honest, I find trauma one-upsmanship uninteresting. Dean's struggles speak to me the most, but I recognize other characters' struggles as well. I don't think I take it all as personally as a lot of fans do--or maybe I don't feel as urgently that my own drama must be front and center. It's okay for me to experience my deep feelings when watching the show; I try not to get caught up justifying their value or measuring them against others'. If others share my feelings about the show or have empathy for my outlook, that's truly a gift.

17. What’s your favorite Supernatural episode?

If I had to pick one, it'd be Baby, but that's partly because it's built on a history of these characters and also of J2 and the show makers. I love the innovative story-telling. Everyone was working at the top of their game for that ep. Same with some of my other favorites, like Dark Side of the Moon and Dream a Little Dream of Me. Part of their impact for me is the payoff of a rich show history, and part is the interesting structure and effectiveness of the story-telling.

18. Do you like case episodes?

Sure. I like episodes that are well-written and well-realized, regardless of type.

19. Who do you relate most to in TFW?

This feels like the sorting hat of SPN lol. I relate to all of them in different ways. Mostly I relate to Dean's impossible beauty--har har. I think I'm adorable.

20. Why do you like Supernatural?

When I started watching the show, the theme of a tight-knit family identity as one that gives strength but also can be oppressive really spoke to me. As did being an outsider and feeling out of step with mainstream culture. Growing up, I had an older sibling who took care of me when I felt neglected, so the aspect of wee Dean caring for wee Sam gives me endless feels.

21. If you could bring back one character and kill off another who would they be?

I don't know who I want back any more. I was too disappointed in how Mary's return played out. Oof, ending on a downer; bad play. Tagging: @aborddelimpala, @spnjensenlove02, @nursedean, @whiskeycherrypie, @vinylackles -- if you haven't done it already and feel like doing it. No pressure!
