At long, long last, my gift for the FFXIV OC Swap put on by @sasslett and @ainyan! there were some bumps in the road what with Fan Fest, catching Covid, and then recovering/catching up on work after being at FanFest and having Covid, but I hope it was worth the wait!

This was written for @jqupohtia of their dashing OC, J'qupoh! They requested some Shadowbringers-related angst/horror related the effects of light corruption on Poh, which worked out perfectly considering those are my favorite genres to write! I always enjoy writing for other people's OCs, and J'qupoh was a delight to write for - I really enjoyed getting to know him and building a story around him. J'qupoh is a purring machine! He purrs when he's happy, he purrs when he's healing, he purrs when trying to comfort others or himself.

He also sometimes chirps at people he's close to when greeting them. His tail fluffs up when he's startled or embarrassed.

Naira's tail stands up when she's alert and twitches when she's unsure of something. Also she absolutely tries to start each day with a bit of time to bask in a sunny spot to help her wake up.

My main WoL is J'qupoh Tia, a sun seeker whose talents lie in conjury, dancing, botany, and abusing glamours for anything and everything, And he's a habitual liar (glamours sometimes involved).To the extent the Scions didn't know his real name until the whole fallout with the light wardens. Not even for a good reason, he just lied when registering to avoid his sister's harassment over him becoming an adventurer and then never fixed things when he started having to deal with heads of state.

I've seen J'qupoh in your screens and art and he looks so beautiful and smart!! I loved that comic with a bit of backstory about him hiding his name to avoid his family. It's so cool to hear about WoLs that have story parts like these, hiding from people and having a bit of a double identity, it makes them feel more human and credible, you know?
