Honestly, I think the show pretty much spells it out quite plainly for BOTH at the very least, in regards to how the themes should be interpreted. EVEN IN TRI, this can be seen BLATANTLY. }

{ My personal interpretation of Jou’s Crest (based on the above scenes and various possible meanings in Japanese) is TRUST as in, Trusting in one’s self to be something similar to Truthful / “Faithful” to one’s self / TRUE {PURE} FEELINGS. } { Fan translations have translated it as simply “Faith” in the past. ‘Officially’ Jou’s Crest has actually translated before by Bandai as, SINCERITY itself, but it has also later been translated officially as Honesty. Even Seijitsu itself can also translate directly as PURITY. This however can obviously cause some clashes with Mimi’s Crests’ name. So, please note my interpretation is a headcanon, but it does fit Jou pretty well in my opinion, encompassing most of the various other ‘possible’ meanings as well! }

FAVORITE JOUMI MOMENT / INTERACTION

{ A lot of people may disagree with me on this scene. But I genuinely feel this scene describes JOU and MIMI and captures their relationship to each other 100 PERCENT. It’s one hundred percent the CENTRAL THEME of their storylines in the 2nd tri. movie, and actually even has some callbacks to their interactions in the Japanese version of Adventure. }

[Note: the word used here is ‘wagamama’ for Selfishness, but it still ties in nicely with the use of “Jikochu” in later tri, which took things a step further, to mean/highly imply in the original Japanese, “self-centered and annoying” by using the word “Jikochu” for Mimi originally, and making it central to BOTH their storylines by the end.]
