To the person who keeps releasing Tirtouga into the Lilycove coast, I hope you can run from an Arcanine; messing with an ecosystem like this is no good. >:[

Respond with any Pokemon and I'll give you a random little fact of current research going into understanding their travel and migration patterns.
Seeing more and more different Pokemon across the regions has been one of the more fascinating topics of research.
#pokeblogging#izzy.talks#//pls yall he is so desperate to put his degree to good use iwefniewf#//asks are always welcome too!

If anyone could--my pokedollars would be on the Kricket- line. Distinguished individuals dressed for the music concerto.
Sad Bug Facts: They can't play the saxophone! :(

Okay, rankings, here we go; favorite to least favorite. Waiting in line at Dunsparce Donuts.
Bug - As a geographical migratory specialist, seeing the real-time changes in behavior and appearance is the coolest thing to me. Plus, they're just so darn cute.
Water - I've always been by the water in some way--I just love seeing those aquatic little creechurs is just really calming.
Psychic - Not going to lie--these past several months have affected my opinion on the matter. Spending time with Hecate (Kadabra) and Navi (Baltoy) have definitely affected things.
Dragon - Seeing their migratory patterns is always such a fascinating topic--not to mention, Hoenn is home to plenty a dragon-type; including those not locally found, usually.
Flying - Remember that thing I said about Bug-types? Ditto (ha) for flying-types; the only reason why I have this ranking is because of a Wingull-related incident (for another day.)
Grass - Not enough people talk about the absolute explosions of crossbreeds between different 'mon in the same egg groups to achieve different ecological purposes in grass-types.
Dark - Underrated; met plenty of amazing dark-types who are the chillest out there. Shoutout to a local Carvana who did a flip to get half of my sandwich one day.
Ghost - Same thing as dark-types. Haven't met too many ghost-types, personally, unfortunately.
Normal - Middle of the road. Not to say that normal-types aren't awesome (because they are (shoutout my boy, Troy (Kecleon))), but I have really yet to really delve into the patterns of normal-types, as a lot of them coincide with Pokemon of different typing.
Electric - Laid-back or manic; there is no in-between; and I would have it no other way.
Rock - These are honestly pretty underappreciated in their ecosystems. Can be a little intimidating, but seeing an Onix being perplexed by its own reflection in reflective material will never not be adorable to me.
Steel - Nothing personal for or against them--I just have a thing about sharp objects. (Helping that unhappy Durant mother was not my favorite night.)
Fire - I've never full vibed with fire-types. I've never actually trained Pokemon before now so they can sense my nervousness. Especially fire-types.
Ground - Incident with a Trapinch >:[. Still think they're cool but from afar.
Ice - Sure, they're cute--until an upset ice-type drowns your local area in a blizzard that cuts your power and makes you rewrite a college dissertation about seasonal morphism. No I'm not bitter.
Fighting - I had an upsetting conversation with a college roommate once who had a focus on fighting types. "Specific" fighting-types. Anyway...
Fairy - Their looks may deceive others, but I know that when I turn my back, a fairy-type is plotting my downfall in 30 different ways. It's just a look in their eye.
Poison - As an allergy-haver; there is nothing that scares me more. I am so sure that poison-type Pokemon are lovely individuals, but my mortal terror wins out against research and fascination.
#izzy.talks#pokeblogging#wow this was a long one#if you're wondering abt the fighting types#having a crush is a hell of a thing#//let me know if that's going too far for rotomblr lol

Ugh, alright. I'm just going to put this behind me, for now. I'm doing my first batch of homemade Pokeballs tomorrow, so I am very much looking forward to that!

I'm having a special discount on homemade and original blends of Pokeballs, since we're getting to the time of year when reckless release and abandonment of "aesthetic" Pokemon occur. Never hesitate to contact your local ranger municipality area to report Pokemon in need of rescuing, relocating, and the like.
As always, I have samples of the balls I make on my blog for you to take a look at. Also going to get back into experimentation with new types!

Some college friends and I have been some of the ones tracking their progress across the oceans! It's such a spectacular sight to see when it happens nearby!
Any other Hoennians along the seaboard going to see this, as well?
Attention Trainers!
A very unique migration will be occurring over this weekend.
If you take a trip down the eastern Sea Side, you might see a river of glowing lights.
A large group of biolumensent pokemon (lanturn,Finneon,Tentacool, etc) will be migrating from cooler seas near Kalos to warmer seas near Hoenn for the winter season.
Reports have said that this will be one of the biggest migrations, so catch this event if you are able to.
We would love to hear of see your experience from this event, so send us any experiences you have this weekend!

Troy just spat out a little capsule thing (like those things you get from shopping mall vending machines) and inside was a Great Ball... I've just been staring at it for the last few minutes. What in Arc's name could be in here--if anything.
Where did he even find this??

I'm being followed again... By what Pokemon this time, I do not know... Why do all these Pokemon have such a fascination in me:
I'm just a guy(TM). I may have to look at a more permanent residence, somewhere there's an actual ranch property. I already have to watch Lime like a Talonflame to make sure his wind stream doesn't have him crash into buildings
Ugh...

KE-cleon. Mhm, Kecleon, my favorite normal-type. Their camouflage is an amazing and fascinating quirk!

Just as a little extra promotion--I know there are situations where Pokemon are used to rapids environments and river climates. I made Fast/Dive Ball hybrids--River Balls. Please let me know if these can be of any use to anyone--I have an overabundance ^^;

Bug Fact of the Day! While Yanmega is commonly thought to be a Bug/Flying type, recent research has come out that implies that we may have actually miscategorised it! It may, in fact, be a real Bug/Dragon type Pokemon!
